BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a Senior Consultant at a mid-sized Digital Marketing Agency - I help clients put together their plan of action for Digital Marketing, and connect them with solutions to fullfil that plan, both within our Agency and through our partners.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire NETGAINS, and what were your goals?

A major client of ours had a huge website with oceans of great content, but the structure of the site was not designed to scale out to the level of success they had achieved. The client needed to build a new website which retained the value of all their existing content, but presented it in a more coherent way, which met the needs of multiple very different audiences who use the website for different functions.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Netgains have the breadth of expertise we needed, to understand the SEO implications of their design decisions, but also understand the nuances of distinct buyer journeys and audience needs, while providing and excellent quality of product at a reasonable price point. As an Agency, the trust out clients have in us is absolutely critical to our succes - I needed a vendor I had high confidence in to deliver all of the above - Netgains did not let me down.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Clients site was/is WordPress both before/after the redbuild - Custom functions were built into the site, though I can't give any feedback on specific coding languages used in this project - I have worked with Netgains on project requiring JS, PHP, CS, all manner of odd/customs CMS arrangements and custom coded sites. Netgains also done exceptional work on client sites when they did not build the original site - Which is extremely helpful and very rare. More than once, Netgains have taken the have-built-mess that another company left a client with, and managed to polish it into a high quality website.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Several - Though I couldn't detail all their titles, "Senior Web Developer" and "Founder" were among those involved.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The average session duration for site visitors skyrocketed, as did the volume of conversions the site was achieving. Using Lucky Orange, we confirmed that user experience has significantly increased across all of the distinct user audiences.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

• Extremely prompt - Replies were always timely, often impressively so.
• Organized - Every detail was identified, tracked and reported.
• Efficient - We covered a significant volume of work per time period. We used Mavenlink for project management in this case.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to understand the vision communicated without 35 meetings being required was truly impressive. As was the exceptional turn around times on many key messages - All in all, a very buttoned-up operation.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None that come to mind - Both me and my client remarked after closing out the project that we were extremely happy. That client is still working with Netgains multiple years after wrapping up this build project.
