What challenge were you trying to address with MOS Creative?

We were trying to put together a mobile ID scanner application.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The MOS Creative team gave me the choice of building the application with Samsung or Apple technology, and I chose Apple. They built the scanner app using coding for Apple devices, making it compatible with iOS. They designed the app and ensured the interface was simple, clean, and user-friendly.

The app flags IDs and determines whether the ID is real. The app can also tell whether the person using the ID is underage or if the ID is expired. They also uploaded the application to the App Store and ensured it was compliant with Apple standards. The name of the app is Bisu. 

What is the team composition?

I worked with the owner, a development manager, a project manager, and a coder. 

How did you come to work with MOS Creative?

I was looking for a development partner in Baltimore, MD, and found them on a list of top companies on Google. I called each company, and spoke with the owner of MOS Creative. We walked through the project process and negotiated the details. They were very honest and professional in our initial conversation. I could tell they were down to earth, which made me feel comfortable moving forward with the project.

We started working together in May 2021 and launched the app in April 2022. They continue to help us with upgrades as needed.

MOS Creative has been an outstanding partner. Thanks to the app they constructed, we are now the number one provider of ID scanners on the Eastern Shore, and we’re growing. 

How did MOS Creative perform from a project management standpoint?

The MOS Creative team brought the project from inception to completion. They were excellent from a project management standpoint, and the process was seamless. We had weekly or bi-weekly calls through Google Meet to discuss progress and ensure we stayed on task.

They were very intelligent and knowledgeable about potential pitfalls and clearly communicated the project steps.  We had some complications during the testing phase, but the team could navigate those scenarios and provide fixes immediately.

The project manager maintained constant communication and kept me updated on problems and fixes. They would ask questions when they arose and were responsive when I had questions. They were very hands-on through each step, and we used Teamwork to manage the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They maintained honesty and integrity throughout the app-building process, which made me feel like I made the right decision to partner with them. When it came to technical jargon, they did a great job of explaining things that I didn’t understand. They ensured that I was totally happy with the product when the project was complete. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner to accomplish this task, and I am 1000% satisfied with their work.

I suppose they could have built the app for free!

I advise going in with a clearly defined goal for the application or software. Know how you want the application to look and flow, and let MOS Creative bring it to life.

I’m the IT administrator of a company that legalizes documents for pharmaceutical firms to sell medical products and equipment outside of the US.

We were looking to improve our website’s interactivity and provide more information to garner new leads and prospective customers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started the project with multiple discussions to come up with a detailed plan to execute the web development project. We gave them a scope of what we wanted to achieve, including a feature that enables administrators to update and make changes to certain parts of the website as needed.

Moreover, they provided us with a beautiful interface for the platform and keywords to optimize our online visibility, which we’re still implementing to this day.

They were excellent from a project management standpoint as there was no ambiguity to the entire communication.

They always gave us ample notice whenever we experienced any delays, but that was mainly due to the fact that we wanted to make some changes to the scope.

Being able to pick up the phone and having someone talk to us is one of the key differentiators in my partnership with MOS Creative.

We were also impressed with the positive reviews they’ve garnered from past clients prior to signing them up for this project.

There were several instances where they displayed a total lack of urgency in our partnership — that attitude irked one of my managers and me.

When people would search for property managers in Baltimore, our name would pop up and we’d be recognized better. Additionally, they created backlinks to our website, which made it appear stronger. There’s an ongoing development to help us rank even higher.

Everyone wants to be on the first page of Google; It’s a very difficult task to accomplish because Google changes its algorithm all the time. We’re proud to say that we appear on the first page for our keywords. It’s a really nice feeling. Our traffic and leads have also increased as well.

They perform well. They keep us in the loop constantly, and they have a project management tool that reaches out to us as a new action is being taken. We were being kept in the loop with everything that’s being done. We communicate via phone, text, and Teamwork.

I like them because they’re able to work on any issues right away. We feel comfortable that they know what they’re doing, and they know how to treat clients right.

No, not really. They could give me a better deal on my next project.

MOS Creative is currently developing an app that allows end users to access maps anywhere in the United States. The map app lets you find various services in any state in the country. Right now, the platform can run on iOS and it’s still in the testing phase.

The ongoing engagement started in January 2017. We’re almost done with the project.

Since the engagement is still ongoing, I can say that MOS Creative is always right on through each phase of the project — from the planning, UX, and the deliverables.

I’m the CEO of Fly Bodies, a health and wellness company. I run pretty much anything and everything when it comes to understanding what products we have to offer to our clients. Our company then works to see what we can build in order to give our clients a better experience.

In the design phase of the application, MOS Creative put together some mock-ups and a timeline for how long things would take. The team helped us know the scope of the project and understand what features we would need.

They also delivered a prototype, but we didn’t go further to get the full application on the App Store due to financial constraints.

The prototype they delivered met our expectations, and we appreciated working with them. Over time, they improved their communication, as we were working in a remote setting. The team also stuck to the budget that we agreed upon. Overall, MOS Creative did a great job for us.

They used a project management platform, and we mainly communicated through phone and email. It was my first project, so I didn’t know how much communication we needed and how many people were readily available. However, as time went on, those things improved. The communication, as I’ve said, also improved over time.

The design of the application and prototype were pretty impressive. I was excited and impressed by those two things.

Setting a schedule for recurring meetings and giving updates would be helpful for them.

Come with your requirements laid out. Then, be open-minded to any feedback, because MOS Creative has a lot to offer when it comes to designing effective products and applications. Welcome any suggestions and feedback from them about how you should approach your application or product. Also, be aware that things in the timeline take time; projects generally take longer than you think.

With our project, KommunityKoin.com (which is a time banking platform self-built on a GoDaddy template), we started with a simple goal in mind; to create a platform that makes it easy for people to learn how to build a community where they can share their time with one another and support one another in a way that is equitable. 
In order to do this, we needed to develop a “time credit tracking web app” called KoinPurse.com (look at it if you want to see how well it turned out) but we didn’t have the skills to do it ourselves. We spent months researching developers and even got burned twice before deciding to go with MOS Creative. 
Unfortunately, there are so many “scammy” developers out there, and I started to think that I would never find my development team. Max spent three months talking with me about my project and how his team could help me with it. Having been burned before, I was now hyper-vigilant in choosing another developer but Max was very patient with my insecurities - i’m sure that I was annoying at first until I became comfortable enough to start trusting him and his team but they never gave up on me and kept being patient. 
I must admit that I was skeptical about the “planning phase” concept at first but, I assure you, it is a good way to approach the project. Once we got going and I started seeing the progress, I became more and more trusting. You have to understand that I’m older and retired and was funding this project out of my retirement savings so I couldn’t afford to make any mistakes in who I trusted to hire. 
Now that the project is finished, at least the MVP that I hired them to do, I couldn’t be more grateful that I chose MOS Creative for my project, I prayed hard about the choice. Not only did they deliver exactly what I wanted but they did it on time and on budget.
