As a small and startup company, we needed a partner to help take our loose idea of who we are and our goals and turn it into a compelling visual and brand identity. From starting previous companies, I know how difficult this journey can be if the partner has a line-item based mentality where they only deliver what you pay for. League showed such a willingness to look at the project as a whole and do what it took to create a stunning result.

Creative projects are a series of making the best decisions possible with the information given. I cannot claim that every decision we made together was perfect but looking at it from the perspective of completion, I cannot say that there would be anything I changed. Every misalignment or note (oftentimes due to our lack of clarity) was taken willingly and turned into another step forward.

We hired League Design Agency to help us with our rebrand. We had already come up with our new company name and messaging, but needed help coming up with a new design concept and visual branding, including color pallet, logo, icons, typography, visual style, and various branded carriers.

We also loved their scientifically-backed and well-defined project lifecycle. The development of our design concept project was broken down into stages, and at the end of each meeting they would recap what phase was next so we always knew where we stood in the lifecycle of the project.

We loved that they presented multiple concepts for our initial design directions, instead of just presenting one that we hopefully liked, and all concepts were extremely well-thought out with meaning and inspiration to back them. We are over-the-moon excited about our new brand identity and loved every minute of our collaboration with them.

We were extremely impressed with their project manager and their turnaround time on deliverables. League always submitted deliverables when they said they would and would be extremely quick to respond to our feedback. We received constant project updates, including hours used and progress updates on where we were in the project lifecycle. They run an extremely organized and well-oiled machine, which made us feel comfortable every step of the way.

We have worked with League Design on developing our new brand's visual identity and brand concept. The process started with a very detailed brief that we have filled out on our side to help League Design understand our industry, product offering, benefits of the product, the idea of the naming and many other details. Following that we had a design moodboard session where the League Design team learned about our visual preferences. 

After having analyzed our input they offered several brand concepts were all excellent! We have chosen one and it was the time to wait till the realization of the visual side, which included several version of the logo to choose from, set of brand colors in light and dark palettes, visual elements based on the brand concept and the colors, typography, visual tricks and mockups of using this brand identity on different carriers. 

I must say we had only one iteration as the quality and precision of their work was impeccable. We have received a full brand guide with every single visual element in source files and detailed usage explanation. It really enabled us to start using the brand in the correct way across all the assets we have started creating.

I think the biggest measurable outcome is that only a month after we have completed building the identity we have already created several presentations, white papers and a landing page without the help of a designer based on materials that League Design team has provided. These assets are high quality and very usable.

Everything was extremely efficient and on time.Our project manager, Marina was highly responsive to any requests, she transferred every message to the designer clearly and we could see this in the changes that were made. how fast and precise they were made as well.

Highly professional, in our process they changed my perception of the brand building process. I would have liked more dynamic and clear documentation from the start of the project that provides details on the project timeline and pricing, including any adjustments made during the course of the project. 

This would have enhanced transparency and ensured a comprehensive understanding of the timeline and financial aspects throughout our collaboration. It's important to note that this area for improvement is relatively minor and did not significantly impact the overall success of the project. 

They also listened to my feedback and made adjustments and provided what I was looking for halfway through the project. Their strengths and commitment to delivering exceptional work far outweigh these minor considerations.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I found them online - I did extensive research for an affordable, full service web agency located in the Ukraine who could work with rebranding and web design. They had an excellent portfolio, very nice sales representative who was able to fully answer all my questions, and a very fair prince.

We started with rebranding of the organisation with League's design team. It didn't work out exactly as planned, however we decided instead to use the branding they developed for our Annual Report, and we cobranded the organisation with the brand of one of our programmes developed by a different agency. League took these brand guidelines and came up with clever ways to implement them.

I have regular meetings with their project manager on the web development side and she provides weekly gannt charts of the progress. It was a very smooth process from them developing the wireframes to designing the whole website in Figma, which I could easily comment on and see in action.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with their sales rep/first point of contact, two people from their graphic team (project manager and designer), and project manager for the web design team. She took care of everything beautifully so it didn't seem necessary to meet the designers in a call, but we interacted on Figma.

The projects are still under construction, but happy to share when they are done!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was excellent - the project manager for web design is an absolute dream to work with, they are incredibly quick to implement any changes and worked with our tight and changing deadlines. They are always quick to respond, incredibly friendly, and highly competent, and the designers do a really stellar job. They speak excellent English so I never had any troubles with communication.

I was really impressed how well they took content from the old website together with the new brand guidelines, and made something beautiful and highly user friendly out of it. I like working with them so much and am so impressed with their work, I asked them to do the Annual Repot for one of our other programmes that has completely different branding. They were able to very quickly take that and build an interactive report which is also still in progress, but looking sensational!

The graphic designer we had on our original rebranding wasn't on the same wavelength as what we wanted for our whole rebrand, but we repurposed the designs with them very effectively for the organisation's annual report.

We hired League to design a website that captures and maintains the viewers interest in our firm, our people, our strategies, and our projects. We also wanted to underscore our commitment to Impact. More importantly, we felt that it is important to have a dynamic website that sets us apart from other mining industry websites that are rather mundane and seem like simple templates.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We reviewed several examples of their portfolio of works and then conducted an interview of their process. We appreciated their immediate understanding of the drivers / motivations behind our website project and they seemed equipped to help guide us through the process to what we ultimately wanted to achieve.

2. Debriefing of our website objectives as it pertains to our firm's goals
3. Completion of Questionnaire that pulls all of the details from the debriefing from the client. The Questionnaire also has a section requesting competing websites for peer analysis
4. League reviews Questionnaire and peer websites, and provides feedback and ratings of peer websites relative to effectiveness
5. League provides a design proposal with options of color pallets, font styles, forms / structures, and other design elements.
6. Client reviews proposal and decides on design components shall be utilized in the web design
7. League begins design of Home page for draft review
8. Upon clients sign-off, League continues with remaining pages

In total, we had two persons from their team; which entailed the relationship manager and the project manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The design was excellent and executed exactly as we requested. It captured all the key drivers that were discussed during our preliminary proposal process. All prospects that visit our site exclaim how professional, yet cool it is!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was efficient. We were updated weekly of design process and had access to Figma platform to follow such progress it realtime and make notes within the application.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were very professional and their team did an expert job of combining industry due diligence, branding, marketing, and designing within one comprehensive project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can't think of any areas of improvement at the moment. Even after the questionnaire feedback and design proposal, they reverted with how it will impact the project pricing and communicated effectively; and then worked diligently to keep to the targeted timetable and pricing.

Our website was outdated and had some UI/UX challenges that we wanted to solve. Our internal designer didn't have enough experience and resources to carry out such a massive project on her own.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

League is a clearly well-built and united team. All the processes are very well thought through, and they are great communicators. From the very first message, it was clear that they didn't just send out canned pitches to anyone that comes to them, but they carefully check the request and take time to try and understand your needs. On top of that, of course, the fact that they had a good versatile portfolio with modern well-structured designs was a big deciding factor.

We had a series of in-depth discovery meetings. The team helped us put together a survey for our website visitors to identify points that we need to improve. They worked with us on a concept that would work well for our brand and provided several versions of the website design. Moving forward, they wireframed and designed over 15 pages of our website and created a style guide for our internal designer to use to implement the rest of the design. They also created several outline animations for our website.

During this project, I worked with an account manager, a PM, and a designer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our internal designer found it very easy to work with the style guide provided by League. After the implementation of the redesign, our website got an 8% conversion rate boost on average.

The workflow is very very efficient and comfortable.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Very well-built processes. You can see that people enjoy working in this company and it matters a lot. They were very customer-focused, detail-oriented, and easy to work with.

Hard to say. There were some hiccups here and there, but every challenge was resolved very professionally. Well done and I can only recommend this team.
