We hired Excellent WebWorld to take the design of our first app and turn it into reality. We worked with them closely during the development and testing of our product, MyLineup Hub. They built the backend system, the Android app, and the iOS app.

We started by discussing the product and walking through the screens that our design team had worked up. From there, we walked through how we wanted it to work. During this phase, both sides noticed little hiccups that we could get out in front of. We went into the build with regular meetings to update everyone on the progress and any questions that were coming up.

As the build progressed, we received basic beta versions to begin testing and revising the app to make it easier to navigate. Both their team's feedback and our beta tester's feedback was valuable to complete the project.

Mayur was my key contact, and he deligated to his team. His team would give feedback, and Mayur would filter it to us. A single contact made it easier than having their whole team coming to us.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have a fully functioning app and we were so delighted by their work that we hired them immediately to build a fully functional website to go with the mobile app.

We had preset meetings that were rarely missed (mainly missed by us on our end). We had shared documents to write out bugs to address in our calls that also provided the status of bug fixes and any notes or comments needed. Everything was always addressed promptly.

I'd never experienced working with a company overseas and was absolutely delighted by how easy they made it to work with them. Communication was clearly addressed upfront, and we were all at ease throughout the entire process.

Nothing really comes to mind at this time.

Vendor's team consists of one project lead, and a team of 5-7 developers working on our project.

We have been able to launch our business and product within the scheduled timeframe and scope of the project. The EWW team has helped fix minor issues and assist as needed post-launch.

We communicate with the EWW team via Skype. It has been incredibly easy and efficient communicating with the team throughout the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

EWW is very focused on customer service to the clients they are developing for, and incredibly focused on delivering a quality product. If anything needed changes or updates, they are quick and accommodating to our team no matter the hour of the day, or day of the week. Our project was scheduled to complete right around the time when the global pandemic caused businesses to shut down, which threatened to delay our project and launch. Mayur and the EWW team implemented remote working capabilities incredibly quickly and did not miss a step when it came to the project completion. Again, their dedication has been impressive throughout the process.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think they do fantastic work and we received a quality product. We plan to continue to use their services and skills as we grow and expand our business.

Once the App is launched, we gained 20,000+ downloads in the first month, with over 4-star ratings in both app stores.

The project manager that we were assigned was easy to interact with and gave us daily updates. We connected over skype messaging where the whole team was actively working and updating daily.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I am overwhelmed by the knowledge that this huckster has about mobile app development and optimization. We learned so much from this company. We had worked with other companies as well, but this was a completely diverse and positive experience.

We live in the 21st century, and all of us expect things to be done faster, but we were quite contented with their work ethics and quality of the work. However, there's always room for improvement.

I worked directly with the CTO of the company as well as our Project Manager. And behind the scenes, there were a few developers and designers that executed the roadmap we put in place.

The project was completed on time and turned out better than what we had initially planned. We've received great feedback from our customers. Not just how easy it is to use but the user engagement is amazing.

Their attention to detail since day one has been remarkable. Their communication skills surpass every other vendor that we have worked with. They always beat our expectations, which doesn't happen often.

No, I cannot think of any way that Excellent WebWorld has underachieved. We are very happy with their work, they do consistently a great job and we plan to work with Excellent WebWorld for many years.

I am the IT manager for a logistics company. We’re developing an application for our shippers to be able to book trucks and for our carriers to go online and get these jobs. It is similar to Uber and other applications but for trucking.

We were looking for someone who already had expertise in working with applications related to transport or heavily relying on Google Maps.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The entire application development was done by Excellent WebWorld and it was done from scratch. They did everything from A to Z. They worked on the design, wireframes, and development for Android and iOS. They even created our database. We only gave them the business processes, the flow, and told them how we wanted it.

What is the team composition?

I have been in touch with three people there, who are the heads. I know that they put 6-8 resources on the project. Currently, we are on a long-term contract with them for offshore staffing, and we have three people working for us on our project.

How did you come to work with Excellent WebWorld?

Initially, we had been negotiating with another company in India but the negotiations were not going that well and decided we needed to look for someone else who had done transport applications before. We found a few on the internet, and Excellent WebWorld was one of the companies that came up in our search. One of the reasons we selected them was because they had worked on transportation applications previously, so it was a good place to start for us. They understood what we wanted pretty fast and would be able to build the app faster than someone else who had never worked on this type of application before.

How much have you invested in them?

We have spent over $100,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in August 2019. We have a lot of things in the application and it is an ongoing process. The majority of the work is finished but we are enhancing the application.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There isn’t anything in particular but technically they were able to achieve what we have asked for from the business side. They’re knowledgeable too, and that was one of the most important things because we wanted someone who was experienced in these types of apps. They knew the field and understood what we wanted pretty easily. We haven’t published it yet because we are waiting for some legal licenses from the transport authority.

How did Excellent WebWorld perform from a project management standpoint?

I would say there was a bit of mismanagement from both parties, to be honest. In terms of timelines, I would say that is one area that we can improve with them. We mostly used Slack to communicate with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Our reason for selecting them was their expertise in our field. They are strong in that area and have developed several transport applications that we saw before signing up with them. This is the only project we have done, and we haven’t really dealt with anyone else to compare.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We were delayed in some milestones, partially from both sides. One thing I can say they could improve on is the timelines. We felt the project could have moved a bit faster.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I have recommended them already to another client, as well as a friend of mine who is working on a taxi project. It looks like he is likely to go with them.

A mistake from our side was that our scope was not well defined. I would say that before starting a project with them it is better to have a proper scope in place that is precise so that you get exact timelines and deliverables. If the scope keeps changing, your project might stretch.

Even during the whole project, I experienced a swift interaction with their development team. The milestones were clearly defined. They also did user research by conducting some user interviews which really impressed me. Then, they provided me initial wireframes and mockups of the user flow. Once I finalized the design, they initiated the development part.

We had used a developer from Upwork.com to develop Android and iOS versions of a music app that would stream sermons and singing from our Church. The developer we had hired did a poor job and only the minimum needed to get paid. As a result, the app had 2 major bugs, 1. The audio quality was poor 2. The audio would pause after only 5 minutes of playback when using Cellular Data. There were also many more minor bugs in the functionality of the app.

We needed to get the 2 major bugs fixed so that the app could be usable by our church members. And we needed it done quick.

After a couple more conversations to discuss the flow of the app and our main concerns they went to work, going thru the app in detail and finding about 10 minor bugs we never even knew were there. Within 2 weeks they had fixed both major bugs and most of the minor ones.

We were assigned a Senior developer, QA, backend developer, Android developer, and iOS developer.

Within 2 weeks of starting on the app they had fixed our 2 biggest concerns and many other bugs as well. They even pushed the updated code to our Github repository and we were able to build the .apk and submit it to Play Store. Our users were as excited about the update as we were and the results have been excellent.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective. We received daily updates via Skype, several test apps to try, and within 2 weeks a release.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The caring attitude. I was impressed at how they quality tested every test app they sent us and were quick to address any concerns we had.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I would say they only improvement would be a little more input on my end as to which bugs to fix first. But, that is hardly worth mentioning. They were very proactive in fixing bugs as they found them, but I would prefer a little more input from my end so I could better direct my resources to fix the problems that are more affecting user experience.

“Peppea” was all about building a taxi booking & car rental application with uncommon features. The complete flow of the app was like a user can request for the ride and the nearby driver will be assigned to the user. With that, even the driver has a right to accept or reject the ride as per his/her convenience.

Every single thing that required by users and drivers was provided in my project. The whole application was developed from scratch by Excellent Webworld.

So, the team composition for my project was like 3 Android as well as iOS developers, 2 backend developers, 2 frontend developers and 1 QA tester. With all these, I was in direct communication with the CTO of the company. He frequently used to take my feedback about the project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Yeah, the project is completed and running successfully. I am getting a good user engagement with the application and might be soon come up with a new version.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow between mine and their team was just commendable. The team at Excellent Webworld is very flexible in their working hours. With the completion of every phase, we were getting updates from them on a regular basis. The CTO of Excellent Webworld was involved in my project and we regularly had conversations about the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

As I said above, they were so determined about my project. And another thing that impressed me was the transparency they have maintained. They were clear about everything from the start to avoid any type of confusion. And they even came up with few ideas which I’ve never thought for my project.

All these things really made by project an appealing and user-centric. I even visited their office and it was a really good experience. One more thing I would like to add here is, as I was comfortable with Skype and Whatsapp for the communication, they specially shifted to these tools for me. That again impressed me a lot.

Well, I really don’t find any areas of improvement. Their work is just amazing and as per my expectations.
