We’re leveraging Emizen Tech’s experience to build an admin panel for our app. This app is built for iOS and Android, and it runs on the Golang technology. With this admin panel, we will see all of our analytics, and we will be able to administrate user posts and remove users from the app if needed. After developing this panel, I’ll have them work on some additional features to finish my app’s whole functionality.

We started working together around November 2021, and our engagement is ongoing. They’ve done such a great job that we’re also asking them to take over some big projects that my current development company is working on.

How did Emizen Tech perform from a project management standpoint?

Emizen Tech has been really great regarding communication, and they’ve been very professional in managing our timelines. They constantly let me know the project status and reach out to communicate any updates. That aspect has been very important to me. We communicate via email and Google Meet video conferences.

Initially, they provided me with a project plan, and currently, that plan is on schedule. This plan is on a shared Drive document, so I can go in and see where we are in the process anytime.

I’ve also found out that Emizen Tech is really assertive, proactively reaching out to let me know what’s going on, which is very helpful. Additionally, they’ve been very cost-effective. Overall, it has been an excellent partnership.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Keeping on point with the project timelines is Emizen Tech’s strength. They have a great development process in place, showing me exactly what’s going on at all times.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve been working together for just a few months, so it might still be early for constructive criticism. However, I haven’t found an area of improvement for them so far.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Provide all of your project’s details and information upfront, including clear directions about what you’re trying to do. However, if you don’t have all the details polished up, Emizen Tech is very capable of providing a great strategy with your input.

the main backend was developed in a framework based out of Laravel 8 (PHP). and all other hybrid apps were build on Flutter. We have divided the project in 3 phases and initial MVP version. on the very 1st step EmizenTech has shared Project's WireFrames on figma. then we had many calls to discuss the flow with all the Apps & Backend panel.

After that UI has been developed. and in the same time the backend has been built so all the team is working in a parallel manner. the main part was the delivery boy assignment & the technical team has cracked the logic for using him for multiple deliveries at same time.

the MVP was launched within 6 weeks and the Hybrid app was suggested by EmizenTech's team to save the cost and time. They suggested the best strategies and worked in a cost effective manner.

Skype was used for communication. the Project manager was giving demo every 2 weeks for the project updates and taking feedbacks. timeline was increased by 1 week due to some customisation.

they should improve the internal CRM and Invoicing Part.

The app creates a platform for local merchants to advertise their products. They can register and list their merchandise, and users can browse and buy through the platform.

Also, they’ll provide ongoing maintenance.

I found them on Google; I’d interviewed several companies. I liked their knowledge and experience, so I decided they were the best choice for my project.

We’re waiting to solve some registration issues with Apple to launch everything together. I like the design and user-friendliness of the website and application, but I’m looking forward to getting user feedback. Overall, they’ve met all my expectations; I’m pretty satisfied.

They do a great job, and the team has stuck to budget and timeline. They’re quick to respond and explain processes when I reach out with questions or concerns. We meet through Zoom and Google and communicate regularly through Skype.

Perhaps we could’ve started working on iOS registration earlier to save time.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Emizen Tech provides custom software development and high-level e-commerce website designs for our customers. The team also does backend work with APIs, and they're in charge of configuring all of the interactions required by e-commerce sites. On top of that, they customize our platform for customer use cases. We then provide them with architectural design.

They're working on our Adobe Magento platform, and they use PHP and HTML. They also offer customization and development services on both the front- and backend. Some examples of the solutions they've produced include creating a solution to sort through sophisticated products for a customer and providing a solution that allows customers to host online courses on their own sites. We're currently discussing the development of a marketplace, including HTML development.

We're working with 4–5 people, including Vivek (Director of Engineering), who serves as our main point of contact. We also collaborate with their HTML designer, PHP developer, and SQL database developer.

The website hasn’t gone public yet. However, we're satisfied with Emizen Tech's work, and we plan on having a long-term partnership with them. We have several projects in the pipeline and are considering them for our social media marketing needs.

We're doing project management internally. We use Skype, ClickUp, Teams, and email to communicate. In relation to that, the team has been extremely responsive.

They’re quite accommodating in implementing any changes we request from them.

They could use more tools and have more organized communication.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our team has thought of furthering our services by creating a community- and values-oriented platform, and we’ve engaged Emizen Tech to help us build this application. Through our app, we aim to encourage people to allocate 30–60 seconds of their time, so they can pray and create sustainable habits that will improve their well-being.

Their team has developed our iOS- and Android-friendly app using both React Native and Unity. We’ve relayed our requirements to Emizen Tech, and they’ve come up with a technology stack based on our ethical preferences. They’ve then applied the necessary coding solutions needed to help build our platform.

Emizen Tech is currently implementing crucial UI design changes and fixing minor detected bugs. We’re planning to deploy the new version next month.

Currently, at least 400 users are testing our product — we’ve received favorable responses from everyone so far. While we’re making changes based on user feedback, these mostly apply to the prototype that’s been developed by a previous provider. 

Emizen Tech has spot-on technical expertise, which is strengthened by their capacity to bring our creative ideas to life. They’re always willing to share valuable insights, which lead to our platform’s refinement.

We mainly rely on Skype and Slack for communication. Emizen Tech has a team of good communicators — they see to it that each project phase is digestible for our team and the technical terms are explained adequately. More importantly, they’re always prepared with productive suggestions and reliable references.

They’re committed to meeting our timelines and goals. Emizen Tech has excellent planning skills and a personal approach when it comes to addressing our needs. We share the same beliefs and values, which makes for a smooth working relationship.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ll appreciate more clarity from Emizen Tech in terms of scoping and setting deliverables. There are times when their passion overpowers their thought process, and we aren’t informed enough about what’s going on and what’s been done.

Understand your goals and determine if they’re in alignment with your budget and schedule. Once these boxes are ticked, you may go on and relay everything to Emizen Tech’s team.

I am one of the Co-Founders of CHOMP. CHOMP is a new mobile application designed to change the way people feel about food consumption and encourage sustainable living in Hong Kong.

We hired EmizenTech to develop a total of four mobile apps for us, two for iOS and two for Android. For each operating system, EmizenTech built a Vendor application and User application.

Our goal was to launch our app as soon as possible in Hong Kong to match competition, whilst ensuring we have an easy, user friendly and simple solution ready to combat food waste.

EmizenTech had competitive pricing and quickest timeline for delivery.

EmizenTech was contracted to handle the overall design and development of our 4 mobile applications from start to finish. We began our work on figma with UI designs and mockups and reviewed these on a weekly basis using trello to keep track of milestones. 

Once development began we received regular builds and updates from the team, sometimes daily, until we were comfortable to submit to the app stores.

We were mainly in touch with our day-to-day Project Manager, who also made himself available after working hours, and a team of 3 developers, one for iOS, one for Android and one backend developer. Great team!

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Onboarding process with vendors has been good so far. Our soft launch is in sight and we are ready to make a public announcement soon about the launch of our app.

We communicated primarily through Skype in a large group chat with all the developers invovled as well. We also communicated over WhatsApp and made long distance phone calls for urgent matters. We were delayed a couple of times due to unforeseen events, but the team even stayed in the office till 2am on several occasions to make up for lost time. Our Project Manager made himself available at all hours. 

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They've sent revised builds of their application often so we can keep testing them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

More consistent reviews of OVERALL timeline and make sure to proofread materials before sharing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Emizen Tech currently heads our app development efforts — they’re involved in every phase of building our information platform. Our app connects two kinds of users with each other: migrant workers and members from our public partnerships. Emizen Tech has developed an agile system to accommodate those on top of our information flow.

Emizen Tech has also implemented complex solutions that enable profiling and categorized discussion forums among our users. Additionally, they’ve integrated a sign-up page into our platform.

Their team’s ongoing work for us centers around app design and developing more features to optimize the quality of our platform before its go-live. They’re currently working on implementing more backend functionalities for our internal team, and they’re building an event management panel for our coverage partners. Lastly, we’ve tasked them to integrate an RSS feed to give our users access to a standardized summary of information.

I don’t have quantitative metrics to share yet as our product has not reached its go-live stage yet. However, I can confirm that Emizen Tech is a hardworking team that strives to meet our performance metrics. 

I’ve checked in with our evidence manager, and he’s validated the end date of our project, which can be earlier than what we’ve expected. We’re happy to be working with a team that delivers our needs when we need them. Overall, I can confidently say that their team continues to meet our expectations, both quality- and schedule-wise.

How did Emizen Tech perform from a project management standpoint?

Emizen Tech is a cooperative team that’s keen on meeting the timelines we set. There’ve only been a few instances wherein I’ve asked them to complete an iteration within a particular timeframe, and they’ve given me a vague response. However, it’s understandable given the circumstances caused by the pandemic. We still think of their team as a valuable asset, and we’re working on streamlining our communication efforts now.

They’re a very straightforward team — they deliver flexible solutions based on our budget. Emizen Tech understands our needs and does their best to meet those.

Emizen Tech can benefit from a more structured and goal-oriented workflow.

Communicate your goals concisely, especially design-wise. You can’t expect an agency to predict your design needs accurately, so you have to do your part in relaying those.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our website was an older version of Magento, and we wanted the upgraded it to Magento 2.6. Emizen Tech upgraded the website from scratch, handling both design and development; we gave them the UI/UX.

What is the team composition?

We had one point of contact, but it’s changed twice. There have been three developers, but right now there are only two.

The developer team has good knowledge. They just have to work on QC part, but everything is great.

We got quotations and proposals from different companies. We analyzed the quotations and proposals they shared, and then we finalized with Emizen Tech, as they were willing to deliver what we are looking for at a fair price.

We’ve been working together since February 2020. It's an active engagement, but some matters keep getting delayed.

Everything Emizen Tech delivered has been on time and great — it’s exactly what we’re looking for. COVID-19 was also the problem, but they still worked on our website and delivered this on time. They provide support and give suggestions that fit your needs.  

How did Emizen Tech perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is good. We communicate via WhatsApp and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Emizen Tech delivers on the timelines we set. Sometimes they get lax, but that’s only a small issue that they need to work on. Everything else is fine. We’ve worked with other agencies but they don’t provide what we’re looking for. Emizen Tech listens to us, knows what we’re looking for, and delivers accordingly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could work on quality control, as sometimes website-wide changes aren’t fully implemented. We’ll say that we want to change one word on every single page, but some pages don’t reflect the change; we have to go through to check whether it’s done or not. This back and forth costs time and money.  We’re still talking with them about how to solve this issue.

We give something to change, they do half, and then when we check it is not complete. They don't check properly. We have to do back & forth. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You’ll be happy if you work with Emizen Tech. Talk to them before giving them a project and make sure they understand what you want. Everything needs to be clear to both parties. Have everything written down. If they don’t deliver what they agree to, then you don’t have to pay.
