I started www.collegesportsprep.com as a former University Soccer coach for 20 years, I stepped away and became a consultant helping aspiring college athletes find the right fit and guide and council them as a consultant or recruiting coach. At first I was doing it without a website, which cost me some customers because seeing is believing. Brian at Connect 4 an old acquaintance contacted me about what he does and presented a plan to help me get more exposure, build a website and have a real business that people can search, get advertising and grow my business. I didn't have a lot of capital, but he made it work. I tripled my amount of customers in the next three months and grew it to 180 clients in about a years time for roughly the cost of $10,000 to design and build a fully functional website where customers could browse, shop, and register for the plan they wanted. I've already referred a few of my other friends to them, they do a great job. Good insight, patience explaining suggestions for a first time business owner.

Brian Bambl the company founder for Connect 4 called and chatted with me about my business as we were both in the soccer world and playing indoor soccer and stuff. So he suggested I look into it.

Built me a functional searchable sports recruiting website, visit it yourself I mentioned it above. Click the pages, search info or tabs, and players. Its a good clean website that looks sharp and no problems. Tech, searchable database for players by position, or club, or level of play, grad year, ect. Tech, Word Press, Stripe, go daddy.

2-3 people from graphic designed, to website design, to coders.

Had over $100,000 in personal sales my first year, exceeded my goals.

Communication, phone at first. Then zoom video call so they could share screen and show me. Went in to their office in Alpine when ready to seal the deal and chatted with them. Website was about a 3-4 week project working out the things I wanted in there and me fumbling around trying to decide. They helped and kind of led the way.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Quick and timely to build a website that looked very professional, helped me market and grow my business. I was impressed by the knowledge and guidance of the workers.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Gave it to me free! Lol. Not really, I am pleased with what they did. I had them build me a second website for a different side job after that and it looked good too. Have referred them to others as they do a good job.

I’m a project manager at Intermountain Healthcare. We focus on pediatric injury prevention, and we’re funded by the Utah Department of Health. My main responsibility is to network with providers in every single hospital within the state.

What challenge were you trying to address with Connect 4 Web Design?

Our old website had a lot of problems; it was hard to maintain and didn’t effectively communicate with hospital providers. Hence, we hired Connect 4 Web Design to completely rebuild our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Connect 4 Web Design rebuilt our website for us from scratch. In doing so, they helped us put and publish all of our educational materials on the site. Additionally, we needed to communicate better with 52 hospitals in the state, so their team developed hospital-specific pages for that purpose. They also provided maintenance services; we just reached out to them whenever we wanted to implement any updates or changes to the site.

We primarily worked with Brian (Principal CEO) and Patrick (Web Developer).

How did you come to work with Connect 4 Web Design?

We found them through a Google search. We decided to go with them because they seemed to have a well-defined business model; the other companies that we were looking at hadn’t formalized their work and didn’t have much to display.

We spent about $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together on this project from February–June 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We got a lot of positive feedback regarding our new website; most users said that it’s easier to find the information they’re looking for. We’re also tracking whether or not our published documents are being used, but we need about six months' worth of data to determine if we’ve had the impact we’re hoping for.

How did Connect 4 Web Design perform from a project management standpoint?

The project took longer than expected, but we had no concerns about that because they still managed to deliver a great product in the end.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with their response time and effective business model.

Are there any areas they could improve on?

We’re still trying to figure out a way to get users to sign up for a Mailchimp account, where they would receive an email every time we update the site. We’ve asked their team several times for help on this issue, but we haven’t made any progress.

Once they start developing your website, they’ll ask for different types of information, so make sure to respond to their requests on time to avoid any delays.

I’m the manager of an online cleaning supplies business. We ship to customers all over the US.

What challenge were you trying to address with Connect 4 Web Design?

A company in India had developed our previous website, but now it was very outdated and didn’t function correctly. We had a lot of problems with it, but we couldn’t get any help from the developers due to the language barrier. Thus, we started looking for a local company to help us rebuild our site.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Connect 4 helped us rebuild our site from scratch. When we first met, the owner came to our location, talked about our options, and explained which one they felt would be the best for us. They advised building our site on WooCommerce because of its continuous update, which would allow us not to run into obsolescence issues again.

After the initial meeting, they started to build the site. Then, we met again in their office to go over some details and other design options. In a couple of months, we had our new site ready. After delivering the site, Connect 4 trained me on how to add products and different details to the site, as well as how to create packages of products.

Now, Connect 4 hosts our website, keeping it updated and backed up. Additionally, they help me fix issues and add features when needed.

During development, I worked with Brian (Principal & CEO), who was in charge of the entire process. Now, we contact one of his employees when we need help with issues.

We were looking for a local company. We found out that Connect 4 was a 15-minute drive from us, allowing us to have in-person meetings and really connect, which would be very beneficial for us.

We’ve spent around $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2018, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our new site’s loading time is amazing. The pages load very quickly and are very responsive. Additionally, the checkout system is a lot better than our former site’s, and overall, the site is much more user-friendly.

How did Connect 4 Web Design perform from a project management standpoint?

Connect 4’s project management is perfect; they’re helpful, responsive, and constantly on top of everything. I text them whenever I have an issue, and they follow up on it via email. We also have phone calls and in-person meetings if needed. In the beginning, we also collaborated via Zoom, where they shared their screen to show us design options for the different pages.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Connect 4 is very responsive, and they’re capable of taking care of every problem we have. For example, we had an issue where bots were using our website to test credit cards without our knowledge. We got a bill for around $2,000 from our credit card company. Thankfully, we were able to revert the bill, and Brian identified the issue, adding a plugin that recognized if the buyer was a bot or a human.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. They’ve been doing a great job, and I’m very happy with their services.

Don’t look any further; Connect 4 is a great company to work with.

There were some minor bugs after launch, but we’re quickly reaolved!
