The project target was 3–4 months, and Bettertech delivered in three months. When we had some bugs on our app, it was fixed within 2–3 days. After launching our first e-commerce website, we have almost 20,000 visitors per month. On top of that, we have a consistent monthly revenue of $30,000–$35,000. 

Our customers are happy with their designs and professionalism. Internally, we’re happy with their performance so we’ll give them a perfect score on that. More importantly, it’s very easy to work with them.

I'm the strategy director of a firm that deals with digital and financial consulting. We help companies set up their digital presence, whether it be on social media, website, or Google. We focus on small SMEs and have clients across the globe, including Australia, the Middle East, and India.

Since we’re based in Australia and India, we needed a company that’s also based in those countries. In addition to that, we get a lot of inquiries from the Middle East especially from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and UAE, so we have a lot of requirements where we need to create websites and support digital marketing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bettertech helps our clients through digital marketing and provides services such as setting up social media profiles and Google Business accounts — they also help build websites and mobile apps. Sometimes, there are a couple of special requirements where our clients want their mobile apps in the Arabic language, so Bettertech is also able to provide them with that.

For the website, we have clients that don’t understand how the process works, so I take it to the design and strategy team to implement the requirements. Furthermore, we’re able to understand our products, so we provide Bettertech with FRDs and wireframes.

We’re always present whenever we introduce them to clients and the team guides me with what they’re able to achieve with the budget that we have.

There have been a couple of projects since we've been associated with Bettertech, so I’ve been working with around 10 people from their team. I initially dealt with one of the founders of Bettertech, and he was the one who set up the partnership with us.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I've been associated with at least eight clients in Saudi Arabia since working with Bettertech, and seven of them are still working with me — the retention rate is quite high.

We’ve also done a lot of performance marketing and as a result, we gained a lot of leads at a very low CPL. They helped me with digital marketing shortly thereafter, and recommended them to my clients after acquiring positive results.

How did Bettertech perform from a project management standpoint?

Their commitment and their deadlines have always been efficient. Most of the companies I've dealt with in the past slacked off their responsibilities, so their timelines were almost never met — my experience changed when I started working with Bettertech.

We mostly communicate through Slack and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with their commitment and communication. They’re always on point and they don't sugarcoat any details — they will let you know if a feature is impossible to implement. I also like how they take ownership and take the product as their own.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think they don't have the hunger to grow in that immense space. Most of the time when I ask them to take up more work, they would say things like they can't handle that much, their team isn’t capable, or they don't want to overwork their employees.

They need to work on time and project management. While they’re able to stick to their deadlines and accomplish projects at a much higher rate, I think there are other companies that can deliver better outputs. If they can just push a little harder and put in extra resources, they'll be able to deliver high-quality outcomes with ease.

Any advice for potential customers?

When it comes to mobile app and web development, I have a rapport with them so it may not have the same quality as with other companies — I would suggest exploring your options, as there might be other companies who can get it done at a more cost-efficient and agile rate.

However, I would highly recommend them for their digital marketing and ERT services. I would also suggest being transparent with your goals because they will follow them strictly.

Our website was created more than 5 years ago and was no longer useful. Because we didn't have in-house developers, we hired this team to design and build a Magento site for us. Our Ecommerce Multivendor mobile and web apps were designed and developed by Bettertech. Initially, a member of their team came to our office, and we were given a detailed RFP to follow. Then, using Magento's latest version, they built and developed a web app that integrated a payment gateway and logistics. Our iOS and Android mobile app was created by Bettertech.

Our apps allow users to send money to three different nations, and the system is highly scalable, allowing us to add new countries in the future. They gave us with a video manual for training purposes. Whenever a problem arises or changes are required, I quickly contact their team.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

In comparison to our prior platform, we experienced a significant boost in traffic, customer engagement, and sales after introducing our Ecommerce Portal. The product's UI/UX has been improved, and users can now pay with more than one method.

We met with their project manager on a daily basis, and he spoke with the rest of the team. They constantly respond and provide reports anytime I post a problem in our WhatsApp group. They informed us ahead of time if there would be any delays so that we could plan accordingly.

To communicate, we used Slack, Jira, and GitHub, which all worked well with our team. We haven't been to their office yet, but we communicate via email, Zoom, phone calls, and WhatsApp. Our deadlines were met by Bettertech.

Bettertech has a lot of expertise with Magento and designing effective e-commerce websites. In their field, Bettertech has technical competence and understanding. Their crew was patient in teaching us how to utilise Magento effectively, and they were quick to respond to our requests. They examine all of the areas surrounding security and delivery to ensure that everything is correctly channelled.

Everyone can improve, but there isn't anything major about them that I would criticise. Their project research use cases can get a touch too complex at times, so we should work on getting those out a little faster, but it hasn't caused us any major issues.

We invited many such companies who were having ERP implementation experience, and we found betteretech team to be fulfilling our multiple goals like they suggested to use Cloud-based ERP like Odoo ERP which is Opensource by nature and globally well-adopted.

Once we selected bettertech, we had a series of meetings to define the structure and then decided that what is already available in the Odoo ERP System and what needs to be customized. We concluded the design and also set up backend modules like CRM, Sales, Inventory management, POS, etc. bettertech Team outlines the overall migrations and executes within the weekends and to our wonder, we never had any working day when our systems were down. It was a very well-planned smooth switchover from our old systems. Similar was the experience when we launched our new system.

Every breakthrough, execution as per plans were communicated. Transition to this new Odoo ERP system was way quicker than we Imagined.

The project manager from the company was always there to solve any doubts and give answers to any questions over call, google meet, or email. They have always been there to work upon any business problems that we talked upon and delivered well-planned discoveries onto our ERP systems. Conclusively me as Owner not-needed to be in every minor loop of requirement, it was naturally handled by bettertech team directly communicating with our Operational manager.
