BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the project manager at winglesoft and most of our work started flowing in when I joined the firm in 2020, we are an offline marketing and advertising firm and had no online presence. In 2021, that changed a bit when we started working on this portal with zeki experts.

For what projects/services did your company hire Zeki Expert Solutions, and what were your goals?

This operations management portal is basically everything we do offline, was sent online. Starting from approaching our clients, managing their requests, campaigns, results, costs and queries. The management portal helps us keep the records, be more efficient in managing our work and employees.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Someone recommended us a few software companies and we went through their portfolio first, then held meetings and finally decided to go with zeki experts.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

It is a cloud based management portal that was built using MERN stack. We started with online meetings and a team from our side communicated our operations and SOPs to the team at Zeki Experts. After a week, we had a concrete SRS document, second step was to go with some wireframing and prototypes. They used Figma for that. The initial design was approved by our management and the development started in the 4th week of our initial contact.

We had our first testable module in 2 weeks. We followed CD/CI method and kept receiving new modules every Friday. The final delivery of the final module was made in 10 months, however, at this point we had already started using the software for more than 7 months.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I was in contact with Mr. Rizwan, their COO, Mr Waqas, their PM and the rest of the team was managed by them. I got into scrum meetings and they had 7 programmers working on our project. It also included a graphic designer and a UI UX designer, but they were not full time roles. A quality assurance professional also joined in after the first month of development.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were hoping to start operating this management solution before 2023 and we achieved that way earlier. We started adding the client queries, ticketing, CRM data and campaign data by mid 2022 and it was fully operational for us. The rest of the modules kept coming in and it was managed so well by zeki experts that the integrations were seamless and had no affect on our existing data.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

It was CD/CI method. We had a scrum meeting every Friday at 3pm. All the approved modules were integrated to our operational cloud after the meeting. We used Slack for communication, JIRA for bug tracking. Timelines were managed via Trello.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Communication was fantastic. The slack channel was open to us at all times. Their Project Manager was very responsive. We had access to all the team via Slack and were always able to get updates on time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Working with them was a great experience. Specially considering it was out first time working together. We had no glitches, everything was perfect. I am not sure what improvements I can suggest on a perfect experience.
