Our website had become outdated and needed refreshed, we also wished to have a more targeted approach to SEO and marketing.

We discussed options with several possible suppliers but felt the offer and relationship with Vision was the best fit.

We had several conversations with the Vision team to understand what we were looking for. They then came back with a couple of visuals which were then narrowed to one and fine tuned until we got the final result.

We have seen increased traffic and enquiries through our website and improvement with our Google position for our products.

Very effective, we have a monthly review with the Visions team and are in touch with them on a weekly basis.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We are impressed by the way they understood what we were looking for and also how they appreciated that as a small business we maybe didn't respond to their requests as quickly as we should have. They alway gave us a polite reminder of the tasks we needed to complete.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Things always change and evolve and I believe Visions see that within our business so I'm not sure we would be looking for anything different.

I am the Company Secretary of Avrenim Group and we are based in Liverpool, Merseyside. Our key areas of work are are Consultancy Services and Design, Project Delivery, Facilities Management, Energy Services and 24/7 Helpdesk Services. Our main customer focus is large estate, including healthcare, educational and local authority customers and we are passionate about supporting our customers through the UK energy transition from conventional power/thermal generation to low carbon and renewable energy solutions to meet sustainability and decarbonisation targets.

Our website was in need of an update as we had recently restructured our business and so we needed a new fresh look and a re brand.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I looked at some businesses local to where I live and gave them all a call and contacted them via their websites. Visions gave the best all round response so that is why I chose them

We started with meetings with our CEO and business owners with the team at Visions and then this progressed to them coming back to us with some intial designs for the rebrand and then we gradually filled in the content once we had a map of what was required.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The overall look is fresh and in line with our new strapline which is to supporting you on your journey to net zero. The site traffic I believe has also increased. People do comment on the new fresh look.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had good communication and most of my requests were dealt with, there are still some matters outstanding but that will be part of a phase 2. We were happy with the deadlines being met.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their knowledge of web design is clearly that of people who know their stuff and I was happy to leave them to it as the site was created from scratch rather than using a template so I was impressed with their expertise. Also, I wanted a young, forward-thinking team and that was what I received.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were some issues around the news page but that is being addressed. I would have liked to be able to see a preview of a post before I put it on there but at least I can remove if it looks wrong. However, the work that is put on there by Visions is of a high quality.

Our website was built when the company was first started in 2015 for a small fee. it has served us well but we are now at a size that we felt it didn't represent us anymore. we wanted to refresh our logo and website to show our ethos and what we now encompass as a successful, growing business. we began working with an seo agency and this was working well with us so we also wanted to improve the website with more visitors now reaching us via this platform.

We were recommended Visions and we had 3 agency that put proposals forward. we felt that Visions understood our brand and core values from the get go and had a similar ethos.

It was a long process as we found that our ideas with what we wanted to achieve did change in the beginning. It was also difficult not being able to have meetings in person but we made the most of keeping in contact via online calls and always found the team very responsive.

The team did change a few times in the beginning but once we had the consistency of Charlie on board the project really took shape.

We have only just launched this last week but we would be happy to share feedback once we are at a stage to do so.

Charlie was always on hand to communicate with us in any way we felt necessary, telephone call, in person meeting or zoom catch up. She was always timely with her responses and really kept the project on track.

We love the new website and we were impressed with how the team has picked up our values and brand identity.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In the beginning to be kept in the loop of team changes would've been useful. felt that this maybe added to some of the design/mis comms in the early stages.

Our website was created over 5 years ago and looked very outdated and clinical, we engaged Visions Design in order to provide a modern aesthetically pleasing website, that improved the user experience both on desktop and on mobile.

We looked at a number of web development companies, after receiving proposals from 4 Visions were chosen based on their understanding of our requirements and their engagement with our brief.

We had a series of discovery meetings in which we discussed our ideas for the site, and specifically what we wanted to avoid with the designs of the new site. We received initial designs for the home page of the website and subsequently all the remaining pages which required unique design.

Visions provided an comprehensive wireframe of the site which we were able to edit and amend until we were happy. The project was managed throughout the development stage with two-weekly progress meetings, and the test site was made available on schedule. Once we had access to the test site we were able to feedback any amendments we wanted quickly to the team and they were efficiently dealt with.

in total we worked with 4 people at visions, but had predominant contact with the project coordinators.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have received positive feedback that the user experience has improved due to the new site, especially on Mobile.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication with Visions Design was extremely easy and having a dedicated point of contact with the project coordinators made the process of developing the website stress-free. The regular progress meetings ensured that we were kept up to date on the progress of design and development at all stages.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was really impressed with their effective communication. regular updates make the world of difference when managing such a project and Visions are incredibly pro-active at ensuring that we were kept up to date at all times. They also showed great patience during the design phase, with our indecision on colour!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There are always little elements that can be tweaked but we cannot fault the design and development of the website overall. We ended up with a fabulous site

After our initial meeting, the team went to work on initial designs and mock ups. After some slight alterations they began to build our site and during this time, provided us with a holding page.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching our new site, we have received a huge amount of positive comments on how great it looks and how it better details what services we provide and how we can help our clients. We have seen traffic increase significantly and on the back of this, increased profits.

We were in communication with our project manager throughout, being updated at every stage, via email and phone. Always informing us of timescales and any relevant changes.

They produced a site that is fantastic and even better than we first imaged. They were highly efficient in what they do and were always very responsive.

We had some teething issues when we first launched, however, these were rectified straight away.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

All our customers liked the new website since it was easier to use. Our stakeholders were also excited with the site — they felt it did a much better job presenting our company.

How did Visions Design Lymm perform from a project management standpoint?

Visions Design Lymm’s project manager was very good — they kept us informed and sent weekly status updates. We could always see what they were working on and provide feedback. We had weekly Zoom calls, and we communicated through email and a project management tool.

Their design ideas and technical knowledge helped to ensure that the project was a success for the new site to go live.

The project managers were approachable and easy to communicate with, the meetings were conducted via zoom and email. We were kept up to date at all stages of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were most impressed by the team's patience throughout the project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only point I could think of would be that when the site went live, we naively didn't know the impact that would have on our internal servers resulting in no emails for 3 days. Going forward it would be beneficial to point this out to the clients who don't have the technical knowledge to understand the impact.

We needed a complete website redesign and build that would paint a modern picture of our company, whilst concisely conveying key messages to website visitors.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I compared 6 or 7 web design companies, but chose Visions based on great up-front communication, an idea of how the designs might look and a reasonable price.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss the direction of the website. Visions then put together some designs that we went back and forth on until we were happy - all of this was well communicated. Once the designs were signed off, Visions built the website. I was then able to log into Wordpress and make edits to text and images until I was happy with the final product.

We were appointed a project manager who looked after the bulk of the work, but also had discussions with designers and the company owner up-front.

We have only just launched the new website, so yet to see any measurable outcomes. We are, however, all very happy with the look and appearance of the new site.

Visions Designs stood out from other agencies right from the start. Their own website stood out to us initially, and that gave us the confidence that they would be able to guide and help us.

Initially, we had a very good and well structured discovery meeting from which Visions produced a detailed and well presented proposal. Once we had made the decision to run with Visions, we had a series of design and development meetings working up the design and content of the website.

Initially, we were assigned a Project Manager who we had for the duration of the project as a first port of call. We also worked with the Developer, Account Manager and Designer.

It's only a week in since the launch of our website, but we have already had comments about the great appearance and usability of it. We never had such comments about our previous website!

Right from the outset, the team have been enthusiastic about our project. We consistently felt like we were Visions' only customer throughout the duration of our project. The attention they gave us was exceptional. They consistently met or exceeded deadlines throughout the project - we really cannot fault them.

Honestly, we feel that they couldn't have done much more - the team really are brilliant there.
