BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

Carlsberg was the first large Danish multi-national to enter Vietnam in 1993. For the first 20 years, Carlsberg’s JV partners managed its Vietnamese holdings under Carlsberg Indochina. In 2012, a fully dedicated Carlsberg management team was established and consolidated operations into a single unit with two legal entities (Carlsberg Vietnam Trading and Carlsberg Vietnam Breweries). I am Senior Executive - HR Department, who in charge of managing L&D and employee engagement activities.

For what projects/services did your company hire UPZOOM Studio, and what were your goals?

We built the website in 2020 with some basic features and interface. After two years of use, we wanted to improve both the interface to build a more user-friendly platform, while also fixing system vulnerabilities that our previous vendor cannot do.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

My classmate is a member of the company that recommended this supplier to me. I appreciate Upzoom's organizational structure because they focus on project progress and less number of project members in exchange for high quality resources.

They are responsible for revising the entire look and feel of the site with a new identity, developing existing functions at a more complex level of information processing. We have kick off meeting, weekly progress meetings, triple review process and discussions on Figma, Discord and Jira.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There are 4 persons: 1 CEO, 1 PM, 1 Designer and 1 Developer

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was completed on schedule, our MKT Director especially commended this change. User rate increased by 30%, 93% of those surveyed said that the new website has a friendly, fresh, clean interface and a Carlsberg look & feel

They are focus on time management and the review process to make sure everyone is on the same page and no back-date change or explaination

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are very lean, enthusiastic, passionate and quick. I strongly would love to work with their co-founder - Ms. Huyen, who is also owner of a foreign online book store

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No.

I'm the owner of Bookee. Bookee that was founded in 2019, aims the be largest foreign bookstore in Vietnam.

For what projects/services did your company hire UPZOOM Studio, and what were your goals?

With the emerging of technology we are an offline bookstore wants to keep up the pace and be online. We want to build our own "house" online to be less dependent on supper app like Shopee and Tiki in Vietnam.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I asked on a forum about which vendor good at e-commerce development then lots of people recommend them. Then I searched them on the internet and got the proposals.

I sent them my ideas which is organized on Milanotes then their teams including: BA, designers, full-stack developers and testers work the next steps. They used react-js to build our website.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

30% revenue growth. I'm very happy with their design, my customers really love their design, UX is good too.

Their team has great interpersonal skills, and the developers are skillful and professional. They manage tasks on Jira and daily communication on Discord.

- Constantly communication - Professional manor - Skillful developers - On time

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They should be more flexible on communication channels: they use mostly Discord that is so unfamiliar to me.
