Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Unitrai built and has maintained the entire platform behind our transfer pricing database and information services since 2012. The engagement has been full-stack and end-to-end: they architected the system, built the application, and have kept it running reliably for over a decade. The core deliverable is a complex, data-heavy search application. Unitrai handled server-side development in PHP across the CakePHP, CodeIgniter, and Laravel frameworks, built RESTful APIs, and engineered fast, accurate multi-criteria search across a large dataset using Apache Solr alongside MySQL with extensive stored procedures. They developed and maintained the Python scripts and scheduled cron jobs powering our automated data pipelines, implemented Java-based command-line processes for batch data integration, and built an AJAX-driven front end with HTML5, CSS, jQuery, and Highcharts.js for interactive data visualization. The system runs on a scalable, fault-tolerant AWS environment on Linux, architected behind load balancers across multiple connected databases, which Unitrai set up and continues to manage. Beyond the build, they have provided ongoing maintenance, security, and platform support throughout the relationship, treating the platform with real ownership rather than just responding to tickets. Key deliverables: the full client-facing search application; a multi-database back end with extensive stored procedures; RESTful API development for backend and frontend; a high-performance Apache Solr search layer; automated Python data-ingestion pipelines; and long-term hosting and maintenance on a load-balanced AWS infrastructure.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The clearest measure of success is longevity: Unitrai has run our platform reliably for over a decade, and the relationship is still ongoing. That continuity is the strongest signal we can give. The platform handles complex, multi-criteria searches across a large dataset and returns results quickly and accurately, which is the core function our users depend on. It has remained stable and performant in production over years of continuous operation, with consistently high uptime and no major disruptions to our service. Unitrai has reliably delivered every component we have needed, from the core search application to APIs, data pipelines, and ongoing maintenance, and has kept the system current and dependable throughout.

Over a relationship this long, project management has been steady and dependable rather than rushed. Unitrai works at a measured, methodical pace, and what they deliver is solid and well-built. For our platform, that tradeoff has been the right one: we have valued reliability and quality over speed, and the system reflects that care.  Communication has been direct and easy.  Unitrai is responsive when we raise issues, understands the platform deeply, and we have always been able to reach him and rely on him to resolve what matters.  After more than a decade, that trust is the most important thing, and it is why we keep working together.

Two things stand out. The first is the sheer breadth one team has handled. Across more than a decade, Unitrai has covered the entire stack themselves, server-side development, APIs, search engineering, data pipelines, front end, and cloud infrastructure. For a small operation, having one dependable partner own the whole technical picture has been invaluable. The second is the sense of ownership. Unitrai treats our platform as if it were their own, rather than as a series of tickets. They understand not just the code but what the system is for, which means we can hand them a problem at the level of intent and trust them to work out the technical answer.  After this many years, that combination of full-stack capability and genuine investment in our success is what sets them apart, and it is why the relationship has lasted as long as it has.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Unitrai Private Limited could have done differently?

If anything, the pace can be more measured than fast on larger pieces of work, the natural tradeoff of one team owning the full scope.  It has rarely been an issue for us given the quality.  It has never changed our decision to keep working with them.
