I’m the CEO of a company specializing in lead generation for the real estate industry.

What challenges were you trying to address with ThinkUxer?

We needed to develop a CMS platform to help us change our business model from personalized services to a software-based system.

ThinkUxer was supposed to develop our custom CMS.

We found them through an online search.

We spent about 75,000 Mexican pesos (approximately $4,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in November 2021 and finished in April 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?

We didn’t have a good experience. At first, it seemed like they knew their job clearly, so we felt confident and paid three months in advance as they required. Unfortunately, they didn’t meet any of our expectations.

Their project management was horrible; they were very slow, and sometimes they didn’t even answer. When they finally delivered something, we weren’t happy with it. By the next delivery, they just didn’t reply. The company was a fraud; they wasted our time and money.

How was project management handled?

They always took too long to reply. Initially, they were very formal, but then they stopped responding to our messages and just didn’t deliver anything. 

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

At first, it seemed like they knew what they were talking about. ThinkUxer showed a good portfolio, but it was just that.

In what specific areas can they improve?

They shouldn’t proceed the way they do because it isn’t fair to their clients.

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

Don’t work with them or make any payments until you have a contract in hand.

For what projects/services did your company hire ThinkUxer, and what were your goals?

Create an application tailored for pets and have the advice of a company that will guide us and support us to do something cool.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had an arduous search for businesses that made applications in Mexico that were not expensive but that did not give us the job for free or because they were cheap they gave us poor quality. We had meetings with about 16 companies from Mexico City, Queretaro, Guadalajara, Monterrey, with all of them we had virtual meetings, we sent our requirements in pdf so that they could quote us. We received all kinds of budgets, some very expensive, others very cheap, others reasonable, but we decided on Thinkuxer because even without hiring them, they gave us many tips, ideas, recommendations and a clearer idea for our app to be competitive. For this reason we chose them, in addition to a reasonable cost to be a new project and in addition to various types of contracting methods.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Well, after several meetings by meet, and a couple in person at their offices in Mexico City, a document was made of what our project would have, the functions and how the progress would be presented and we as owners of socialpets had a certain number of days to make our observations. Once everything was clear, they began to make us some prototypes and we began to understand how it would function, we learned many things that we ignored and we participated a lot contributing our grain of sand, when they came to the design how our app will be seen, they made us 3D characters, we did not expect this and they were very cute. When the design was finished, they made us some links on the internet so that we could test what had been done, and when we approved all the designs, they continued to develop our app for all the app stores and that's how it was.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We were assigned to 5 people, but the interaction was always 1 to 1, very personal, we always had the attention of one of the owners. But we had a crew leader as they call them, a 3D designer, another designer who has made us our provisional brand, and there were 3 programmers. And also when the part of how to promote our app was touched, other people specialized in marketing attended us there

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We could only say that the quality exceeded our expectations, we expected something simpler but we received an incredible design.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Well, there was always communication via whatsapp, by phone call, as well as meetings by meet and in person (at the beginning, when presenting the type of design that they would give us, and upon delivery). they also made us use slack

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The one who understood us at first what we were looking for and needed. We liked their quality of service and their attention. They gave us a guarantee of their service several months after giving us our app.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In our experience, perhaps they could give an introductory course to clients who are neophytes in technology issues, of course not if they give it for free, but it would be good if they approach us with terms that one does not know
