TechsBiz designed and developed the cybersecurity platform. Their team designed the UX/UI and executed on the development. They primarily used Ruby. They also managed our AWS implementation. Now, they’re performing maintenance too.

I’ve been happy with their processes and management. In some instances, we could’ve had issues that made for an ugly situation. It’s a testament to their organization that those instances strengthened our relationship.

In the beginning, I was heavily engaged in the development process. I had strict oversight. By the time we finished the development, I'd given them guidance and trusted them to execute on my vision.

We used JIRA to work through the program and had weekly meetings. We followed an Agile methodology with two-week sprints.

The project was broken down into 2 stages:

(1) The first stage focused on migrating and upgrading an existing React Native app to support our subscription service. Our Connected offering tracks the oil level in a customer's tank (our own device) and optimises the purchase point for oil. Since we were upgrading our offering via the website in parallel, TechsBiz needed to be responsive to a moving target.

(2) The second stage embedded our oil ordering process for all registered customers leveraging nativce app capabilities to reduce friction. Early signs indicate that conversion, via the app, is stronger.

We have only just started properly promoting the app but there is growing evidence that conversion is stronger through the app then via the website.

Now, it's managing the hosting and updating the website to ensure optimal performance.

The new website has enabled the firm to position itself as a market leader and has sought a 90% increase in organic search and a 70% decrease in bounce rate.

We then went through sprint stages with the teams. The product team had some really great analysis which helped us to avoid mistakes, and it was enjoyable to solve product problems with them and come up with creative solutions.

We were able to launch the app on time and resolve any post launch issues with the team. This led to great market discovery with putting the app in people's hands, getting feedback and being confident to increase marketing. We were happy with the app. We were able to launch the app, iterate on it, and build on the foundations that they had set up for us.
