• Assist in completing the migration of a legacy web application from ASP.NET (.NET Framework 4.8) to ASP.NET Core. Migration involves moving Web API actions, data models, and Razor views from an older ASP.NET project to an upgraded ASP.NET Core-compliant project
• Coordinate, communicate, and execute in an agile scrum team sprint environment to migrate code to the upgraded web project.
• Analyze and document legacy ASP.NET code to improve the team’s understanding of it and to improve the ability to migrate the code.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The provider would work in two-week sprints to complete tasks. These tasks, held in Jira, contained acceptance criteria for coding work involving migration of ASP.NET Framework code to ASP.NET Core 2. The provider would complete this coding work and test locally. They would then submit pull requests for review. They would then merge the code and test in the test environment, and submit testing notes to QA for further testing. The provider would be measured by their ability to complete the tasks speedily and with minimal bugs, focusing on very precise changes. The provider used internal documentation and tools to assist with the migration.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Completion of tasks in sprints, with minimal reported production bugs.

They delivered items on time and with good care. They were responsive to feedback throughout the length of the contract, making changes to their process to match the needs of the company. They were available as needed for meetings in largely different time zones.
