Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the founder and director of the ROH group in Ontario, Canada. ROH's mission is to promote, represent, and support professional homeopaths, thereby enhancing the role of the homeopathic profession as an integral part of health care delivery in North America.

For what projects/services did your company hire Syoft, and what were your goals?

To address the business needs of homeopathic practitioners in view of the recognition that we are very well-trained as clinicians, but may lack the skills, tools, and knowledge to build a thriving business practice and lack of technical expertise to leverage on latest technologies for our growth.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We received multiple applications for our requirement through various sources, Syoft's application was received after we posted it on one of our personal LinkedIn profile. After thorough discussions with all the applicants and our board members, we were impressed by the knowledge and passion of Syoft's team.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

They understood the business requirements, suggested us the best approach, and also assisted in cost-cutting through devising optimal requirements. The scope of work was to develop a telehealth platform that was in compliance with HIPAA and PIPEDA and a custom ERP system to manage day-to-day business activities.

The scope also included hosting on a Canadian server with 12 months of cloud maintenance. Technologies used: React Python-Django PostgreSQL WebRTC

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There we 4 people in the main team which included a Project Manager, SCRUM master, Tech Lead and Analyst who were in constant communication with us. The other members which included Senior developers, Junior developers, DevOps, Tester and Designer were coordinating internally.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We successfully launched the telehealth platform. Currently, we have 180+ registered homeopatic practitioners associated with us.

The project planning and management were commendable with the team having sound knowledge of technology, most of our queries were answered immediately and a very few which needed some market research was answered quickly.

For project planning, they used their internal application and the reports were shared with us monthly. Most of our communication was done through email and very few video meetings.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their entire team was impressive with the project being onboarded and delivered smoothly. The change requests were welcomed to ensure the output which we desired is delivered which is appreciable.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They provided impeccable service and also helped us figure out a profitable business model!

I was looking for a company who can understand the line of business and suggest me an optimal solution. I wanted to build a web application which is simple, intuitive and easy to navigate.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was doing a google search to list out the vendors who can build my website and take care of my business technology needs. I spoke to almost 12+ IT companies and these people stand out in understanding our requirement.

Their business scoping and analysis was done by their Sales Lead and we wrapped up the requirement in the first call. Just talk about your requirement to these people and trust me you will get the best solutions, ideas and advices. They are so proficient with business and tech aspects that revolve around it.

Metrepersecond.com is the web application that we wanted to be build. They took me through a planning and prototyping process where we spent a few days designing the solution before actually building it.

During this phase they spent the time to understand the problem and solution, as well factor in my go-to-market strategy. Once in the build phase they used agile delivery teams to build the solution week on week. They have built my platform on Laravel & React JS and have deployed it on AWS.

I worked with their BA team to freeze on the requirement and then their design team and finally their CTO and creative director on coming up with the solution. From there I worked with their product owner, as well a team of developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

I was always impressed by how quickly the team could respond to bug tickets or change requests, make the necessary work and release them. It was great seeing the lean process being followed so well with each sprint building a better product.

The team was very effective in communication during the project. They work in sprints where you can see what is coming next on the development roadmap and plan your features according to the feedback you are getting. We were communicating on slack and emails to make sure effective communication is in place.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their technical knowledge was a pivotal aspect of our product’s success. The first and foremost thing I looked for in any development company is to understand the vision of the business, stand in the shoes of the owner. I see this through syoft.

They understand your business in detail through their business scoping and analysis team. Their communication and project management style in our project was also one of the main reasons why we chose Syoft.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They could expand their team to avoid getting bottlenecked and slowing down the processes of the smaller tasks but apart from that they are incredible. Thanks to their proficient and capable team that was able to complete what was necessary within budget. They also provided easy communication.
