Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm a Head Sale Manager for MarineHub working in Mediterranean Sea area (Italy) as well as Warsaw Poland.

For what projects/services did your company hire Solvee Studio , and what were your goals?

We hired Solvee Studio for developing marina management system. In particular yachts' berth reservation system. We need ecosystem of several web apps as well as mobile apps.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We met in Warsaw, Poland on some business network meeting, where Solvee proved to have experience in complex app development. We also had common friends who where their clients and were satisfied with that cooperation. What more Solvee had free resources and could start almost on the spot. Those were the deciding factors.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We conducted several meeting where we worked on business domain of our Project, creating processes, outlining needs, identifying required integrations and creating mocks. Solvee wrote Specification based on that and we focused on graphic layouts design. After that Solvee Studio split Project into modules and tasks and we have decided the order of development creating 2 weeks sprints. We have decided on PHP/Sylius and ReactJS / ReactNative technologies.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

So far we are on schedule and within a budget. Work in prgoress.

We conduct daily short meetings as well as one longer meeting per week. Solvee Studio proposed this model and we are satisfied with it. We use Gitlab/Slack/Trello. We have constant access to dev version (CI - run by CodeShip). It work well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Didn't know that understand the business domain of a Project can speed up it's development and save from many problems. This is what Solvee brought on the table. They've saved us a bit of money and time especially.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not that I know of.

The beta version was build. The heaviest issues were solved.

Great communication and management skills. Working on gitlab as task mgmt tool.

Very good architecture planning, task mgmt, good coding skills

Java development could be better
