I’m a board-certified physician specializing in hospital and internal medicine. I’m located in Orange, California. With a commitment to quality care, I’m affiliated with UCI Health, providing a range of medical services to meet the needs of patients.

What challenge were you trying to address with Scionis RCM?

I needed help cleaning up my collections, reducing denials, and taking the billing burden off my staff.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Scionis RCM handles end-to-end billing, coding, AR follow-up, denial management, and regular reporting. Basically, they own my entire revenue cycle.

Initially, they rolled up their sleeves, did a real gap analysis upfront, and showed me exactly how they’d tackle my specific revenue cycle bottlenecks. No cookie-cutter nonsense.

Now, they give me clear monthly collection reports, denial trends, AR aging series, and actionable insights to fix issues fast. No fluff, just what I need to make decisions.

What is the team composition?

I work with 11 full-time employees (FTEs).

How did you come to work with Scionis RCM?

I found them through a referral. It’s always the best way, in my opinion. Word of mouth still beats fancy ads any day.

How much have you invested with them?

I pay around $1,200 per FTE per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them in May 2023, and the engagement is ongoing because they’ve earned their keep.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Clean and simple, my collections have gone up, denials have dropped noticeably, and my AR days have come down. That’s all the proof I need.

Specifically, my collections have improved by about 20%, denials have dropped by roughly 15%, and AR days have come down from 65+ to around 35–40.

How did Scionis RCM perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is solid. They deliver on time, stay on top of tasks, and respond quickly whenever I need something. No babysitting is required.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Honestly, their proactiveness. They don’t just wait for instructions; they spot issues before I do and come with solutions ready. That’s rare and impressive in this industry.

Are there any areas they could improve?

If I’m nitpicking, sometimes their reports could be a bit more tailored to my specialty. However, overall, there’s nothing major. They get the job done right.
