Our old ERP system was not suited to our needs, so we hired Scandiweb to help us find a new ERP system, and to migrate all the functionalities and data from our old ERP system into the new one.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Scandiweb was found through an online search, and the reason we decided to work with them was that they were prompt in their initial replies and were able to start the project without any delays.

Initially we had a video meeting to explain our needs and meet some of the team. This was then followed by a visit to our office by one of Scandiweb developers to get a more detailed idea of our current processes, system functionalities and data that needed to be migrated. Basically, the idea was to assess the complexity of the project so that Scandiweb could propose the best system for us, but also to be able to provide more info about the cost and the length of the whole process. We had a tight schedule and the whole process had to be completed the latest by the end of October. We were then given a proposal about which system would be best for our business needs and optimistic as well as realistic estimate for the whole project. To make ERP migration smoother there was also a need to change our current website hosting, so we started with this, Scandiweb first migrated our hosting, however, work on the ERP system was going in parallel to hosting migration. There were clear deadlines set for both projects and both were achieved before the deadline.

Our priority was to move to the new ERP system before the deadline when the old ERP system would shut down, we also wanted a system that will work better for us and make our processes more efficient, but most of all we wanted smooth migration which will not have any negative impact on our website e.g. customers not being able to order etc, which was what happened in the past. And we achieved all of this.

We have had weekly meetings with Scandiweb team for the whole duration of project. During those meetings our project manager would present weekly progress, shared any questions they might have, or any obstacles that could have an impact on the deadlines, we then also raised questions we had. Between the weekly meetings our and Scandiweb team were in constant communication via emails. As we progressed through the project the team was also making guidelines for us and sharing them via Notion page which was very helpful. We were able to ask any question we might have and we would receive an instant reply from our project manager via email.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were a super-efficient team who was prompt in their responses,  knowledgeable, and correctly priced. The communication was top-class.

I cannot think of anything because the whole experience from start to finish was just brilliant.

Our business had only physical stores across 3 countries and we hired Scandiweb guys to move us online. We had no in-house team responsible for digital and it was mainly on me :) Main challenge was to adjust all our retail-based processes to work into omnichannel way, and integrating with our legacy ERP system to ensure live stock updates.

We did a tender across 7 agencies and scandiweb provided the most meaningful solutions to our business needs - they provided most of the answers on suggested technological solution even before discovery started.

It all started with discovery process lasting for 1 month to get to know our business and prepare business requirements for our new platform. When technical discovery was ready, we kicked off design phase and visualized all our ideas on paper. In parallel, scandiweb started to work on back end modules integration. When design was ready, we started to see all puzzles together. We worked in agile way, meeting weekly to align on sprint goals and expected deliverables. Our new store is running on Magento 2 Open Source solution and we are happy about it!

During project development it was 3-4 devs, one project manager and on-demand help from SEO and CRO teams. After we went live, we have 1 dedicated developers and PM working with us daily for further enhancements and our phase 2 wishes implementation.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Since we had no e-commerce before - nothing to compare with. In the first month of launch we got hundreds of orders which was very unexpected. Our Conversion Rate is a bit below industry average but we work closely with scandiweb PPC and CRO team to get it up with mainly better marketing campaigns. We are very happy with the results, all process was very smooth and outperformed our expectations.

They follow agile methodology, we had weekly meetings with PM and instant communication with anyone necessary. Communication is transparent and top-notch, with reports provided every week and visibility on what we are paying for.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their knowledge in eCommerce business and especially Magento solution is way above any other company I worked with. Other impressing this is pro-activeness and strategic planning for our account that I have not seen from any other service provider.

We had some communication challenges with our ERP provider, and die to summer period was hard to get everyone aligned since many vacations from every team. But we resolved everything and it was not scandiweb fault as such.
