I’m the director of FlowerShop, an online flower store.

What challenge were you trying to address with ProArea?

I hired ProArea because I needed a team of specialists to build my website and mobile application.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I didn’t have many specifications in place, so Bogdan (CEO/Founder, ProArea) worked with me to refine my goals. We elected to build an Android app and a WordPress website, which features a WooCommerce installation and custom PHP and JavaScript code. I relied on ProArea for all design and development tasks.

Bogdan worked with support from a project manager, a UI/UX designer, and a developer.

How did you come to work with ProArea?

I found them during my search for Ukraine-based developers. I preferred a local developer with whom I could easily communicate.

I spent $5,000 with ProArea.

We worked together from May–July 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

ProArea delivered platforms that make it much easier for customers to connect with my business. I appreciate that the products are simple yet stylish and that they are integrated with my Facebook and Instagram to promote greater interaction.  

How did ProArea perform from a project management standpoint?

They used an effective scrum process and set up tasks based on my conversations with Bogdan. Their team asked a lot of questions to learn more about my business and what I wanted, and they stuck to the plan they put in place. I contacted Bogdan and his team every week to learn more about their progress.

What did you find most impressive about them?

ProArea strives to understand their client’s business, and they do their best to meet all requirements. They are unafraid to ask about what they don’t know, and they worked to determine the fastest approach to meet my needs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there is anything that needs improvement.

I would encourage clients to have ProArea help them determine the scope of their project. If you don’t fully know what you want or need, ProArea can help fill in the gaps.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The developer we hired successfully refactored and scaled platform's code base. He optimized the Flutter code for better performance and maintainability, modularizing components for easier updates and feature additions and developed several key features.

The developer was great at managing the project. He always delivered on time and kept things running smoothly. Whenever we had questions or needed something adjusted, he was quick to respond and really easy to work with.

I`m the CEO of a marketing agency based in Kharkiv, Ukraine. We work on a variety of digital projects around the world.

We were looking for Software Development Partners that would help us develop an e-commerce mobile app to sell women’s underwear and complementary goods with a deep understanding of the industry.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I’ve known the founder of ProArea Digital Agency for years. We met each other at a business educational course. We had decided to work together after reviewing their portfolio and receiving professional feedback on our request. After the first meeting, our team was sure that these guys would get into details and create outstanding products.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail. The task was to develop a complicate mobile app with following features: home page with a sale propositions, best goods, content for involving users to the interaction; shop with a bunch of categories and products, wish list, shopping cart, personal account with nice badges for the gamification, settings screen, blog, map which shows all the store locations and working hours, etc.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There were 3 Mobile Flutter Developers, QA and a Project Manager.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was huge, so multiple teams were involved in a collaboration. The design was created by a different team and the server side was provided by the end customer we worked for all together. Proarea managed to find common ground with them extremely fast. The developed app gave a possibility to measure KPI in details: visit time, quantity of visits, transactions, money spent by the user in a specified period of time, influence of different marketing activities, etc. These for sure resulted in revenue increase.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

It was good, we worked with 2 weeks of iterations and used Scrum as a management methodology. Jira was used to manage tasks and track time. I believe it’s a common practice for all development agencies.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have finished the project on time. Firstly we thought it’s impossible because the amount of work that should have been completed was huge. But they managed to allocate an additional developer to make it happen. Also the level of communication with every person in a team impressed us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They were probably too focused on the work so sometimes we received reports with minor delays.

We found a ProArea team in the process of analyzing the outsourcing market, we liked their website and cases aimed at education very much.

They developed for us the server side and system interface, which would be convenient and understandable within the team. The system processes a considerable amount of data, helps to manage student flows, schedules, programs, etc.

I was assigned a project manager. Also, there were 3 developers, and a web designer, as well as QA.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our workflow has become faster, more confident, we have become less worried about our data and information flows, now everything is manageable and safe.

The main thing is the responsibility of the team, which is rarely found now.
