Please describe your company and your position there.

We are a solar and energy storage company. Our businesses have evolved and now include operations and maintenance and an online marketplace.

For what projects/services did your company hire Ponticlaro, and what were your goals?

We hired Ponticlaro for ongoing website development and maintenance. There were three big projects that Ponticlaro did for us, which included launching our rebranded borregosolar.com site (now retired), borregoenergy.com site and anzarenewables.com site.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

When I started in the position of leading the marketing team at Borrego, Ponticlaro had already been maintaining the existing website. I decided to continue working with Ponticlaro for five more years.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We use WordPress for our websites, Salesforce for our CRM, Salesforce Gravity forms for our main website contact us forms, and Hubspot for marketing tracking and automation. We hired Ponticlaro for ongoing website development and maintenance.

There were three big projects that Ponticlaro did for us, which included launching our rebranded borregosolar.com site (now retired), borregoenergy.com site and anzarenewables.com site. We had a retainer model with Ponticlaro and a running list of improvements or fixed needed. For the big website launch projects we had more detailed project tracking lists specifically for those efforts.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked mainly with Hunter Cross, the founder and main developer, and Lance Clifton, another developer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our launches were technically successful and delivered on time.

Email is the main form of communication, and there were also bi-weekly check-in meetings. In addition, there was a shared Gsheet to manage work priorities and progress.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They worked hard and provided technically successful web development.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There wasn't a good system for transparency in retainer hours worked on different work items.
