BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I work as Manager Consulting for Absol. Absol is a Talent management and consulting company specialising in IT talent solution both on and offshore.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Nexomos, and what were your goals?

We wanted to created a talent management system, interated to our website and mobile application. Nexomos created a holistic web and app based solution for our team to manage the talent services on the go.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found nexomos to be highly effective in their strategy and execution planning at reasonable costs. Projected costs for the project were about 45% less than the nearest competition for the same project.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The frontend of the solution was built on React and backend was build on NodeJs. using modern technologies, Nexomos created a fully functioning solution which works on both IoS and Android platforms and equally effective on the web as well. A custom UI was created taking in account user journeys and after going through holistic process reengineering.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

An Agile project team was put together including UI/UX designer, Frontend developer React, Backend developer NodeJS, Full Stack Senior developer, Content Writer, Business Analyst and a Project Manager. we went through comprehensive testing phase at the end of each Sprint and utilised QA tester for the phase.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Within 3 months of the soft launch to only 10000 users, we managed to increase our resource screening from 250 a month to 875 a month, which was a substantial growth and we are currently growing the user base at steady 18% every month since the full launch in February.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We found Nexomos to be highly effective in their project management style. We had access to a senior Manager in Account Management capacity, providing weekly steering updates to our senior leadership.

Agile Project Management methodology was followed to deliver the project in increments, regularly releases to MVP. Used Jira for project tracking and MS Sharepoint to upload and reuse project documentation through the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were particularly impressed by the communication, from both top level management to day to day management of the project and release management plans put together. Lesson learnt sessions at the end managed by Oscar was very effective and always focused on the deliver.

It was a great experience overall working with Team Nexomos and we are looking forward to working with them again shortly on a different engagement. We highly recommended Nexomos for any website, mobile app, or custom software solution services. Team's can do attitude, eagerness to deliver quality outputs on time and within budget was particularly impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Towards the started of the project a research phase was outlined for 3 weeks to go through the processes and understand what needs to be done to defining and gathering requirements, this phase was increased to 4 weeks as the projected processes to review increased in number. this was managed very efficiently by their team. overall a huge success.
