Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO and founder of Djooky, an entertainment company. We have a streaming platform for up-and-coming artists from over 140 countries.

What challenge were you trying to address with Moai Team?

We needed help with web and mobile app development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Moai Team is our outsourced IT team. First, I gave them ideas of what the project should look like, and we brainstormed together. We also shared our business model. From there, they came up with ideas for the products’ designs. 

The team has developed our website and mobile apps from scratch. They’ve built the apps for Android and iOS. Although it’s a complex platform with a few special features, we asked Moai Team that both the website and apps be easy to use. Our platforms enable users to stream and vote for their favorite songs. We collect the votes, the number of streams and shares for each song, and how many songs are added to a user’s playlists.  

What is the team composition?

We work with four full-time and 4–5 part-time teammates from Moai Team. The teams include a backend developer, a frontend developer, a data analyst, three designers, the CTO, and some specialists.

How did you come to work with Moai Team?

We were using a different company we weren’t happy with, so a friend recommended Moai Team.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent over $500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to Moai Team’s work, we’re getting positive traction. Our app has over 100,000 downloads on the Google Play Store, where it has a 4.7 rating and many positive comments. Overall, we have 200,000 users from over 140 countries.

How did Moai Team perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is good; they’re responsive and find solutions quickly. During development, we had daily one-hour calls. However, now that the products are launched, we don’t need daily contact. We use many communication tools, including Jira, Telegram, phone calls, Zoom, and sometimes Google Meet. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with Moai Team’s good service. I’m satisfied with how professional, responsible, and creative they are. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I have nothing to complain about; they’re doing well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d suggest you have regular calls with Moai Team and request daily reports and discussions.

I am a Digital Solutions Development Manager - 4SERVICE GROUP. International research company managing customer experience. The company has 5 offices in different countries.

For what projects/services did your company hire Moai Team, and what were your goals?

To build the platform - Voicer. Which helps our clients to receive feedback from their users from different channels and work effectively with them.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

When choosing a supplier, we considered three companies. The decisive factors were: work experience, deadlines, proposed solutions, budget for project development.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

In the beginning, several meetings were held to discuss the business challenge. Created platform layouts in Figma. Then they created a detailed task and proposed implementation in several stages. This allowed us to launch a project with key functionality earlier, and then implement additional functionality.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The project manager worked with us, if necessary, developers were connected.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We managed to launch the project at an early stage and connect our clients to the platform. And further refine the functionality completely.

Project management was very good. We quickly contacted and gave good recommendations and consultations on the creation of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We had constant access to the team, often discussed new ideas and implemented them in the project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Сommunication, the proposed solutions are much better than those of the companies with which we cooperated before.
