We've been quite satisfied with them. We have all the ceremonies, including the retrospectives, when we examine the goals, figures, and accomplishments because our organization uses Agile, especially Scrum. The Scrum manual is the primary source of the metrics.

The group uses an internal communication tool, YouTrack, for tracking and GitLab for the code. They remain within budget and fulfill deadlines; when they don't, they follow the typical pattern in our department. They haven't created bottlenecks or slowed us down.

While the project was still active, they successfully delivered:

App wireframe and design - They exceeded my expectations by creating a great UX flow and wireframes for the application. They were also very careful to consider my budget, while also allowing me to have a clearer notion of what features may put me over the limit and by how much. They also identified holes in my UX flow, which proved useful in gaining their experience at this level and beyond.

Miracuves continues to provide ongoing development support for our web app, collaborating closely with our internal development team. They assist with front-end and back-end development, DevOps, and product management.  

When the project began, the app's core structure was already in place, so Miracuves took the time to study the existing codebase before diving into development. Their team is actively adding new features to the current version while simultaneously building a new version of the app, set for release by the end of 2022.  

The tech stack includes Python with a flat API structure for the backend, React for frontend development, and AWS for cloud management. The platform enables customers to run phishing and social engineering attack simulations. It features a dashboard that provides key statistics, such as how many employees fell for an attack and which strategies were most effective.  

Additionally, users can distribute educational content to their employees and create surveys to gather insights on why employees fell for specific attack tests. The dashboard then compiles and analyzes this data, helping organizations strengthen their cybersecurity awareness and training programs.

We conduct regular code reviews, and so far, we’re very satisfied with Miracuves' work. They’ve successfully implemented the features we need while consistently meeting our deadlines.

Project management is one of Miracuves' strongest qualities. Their communication is excellent, and their workflow is highly transparent. They consistently meet our deadlines and proactively inform us if a timeline needs adjustment, allowing us to plan accordingly.  

For project management, we use Jira, while Slack and weekly video calls ensure smooth and efficient communication.

Before signing the contract, we held initial pre-sales meetings where I shared documentation, and we signed an NDA to ensure confidentiality. Miracuves then delivered a comprehensive 50-page project proposal outlining their approach in detail.

Once the contract was signed, we kicked off the project with a dedicated sprint week, meeting daily with six Miracuves team members to define the process and overall structure. The technology stack for the project includes React.js, Python, and Django, with the entire backend hosted on AWS.

Beyond development, Miracuves has also supported our marketing efforts by providing design resources in Figma to enhance our pre-sales and pre-market strategies. Additionally, they supplied demo materials to help us create compelling pre-sales content.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We’re extremely happy with how everything has turned out and with the entire Miracuves team. Their willingness to discuss issues, resolve problems, and assist us whenever needed has been outstanding. Looking back, I wouldn’t have wanted to develop this product—especially the MVP—with anyone else.  

Our results have exceeded our expectations, which is why our partnership with Miracuves continues. We wouldn’t have extended our engagement if their work weren't exceptional. However, it made perfect sense to keep working together from a business and collaboration standpoint. They enjoy working with our team, and we love working with theirs—it’s a great partnership.

We’ve encountered a few timeframe hiccups throughout the project, but that’s been expected, given the evolving requirements and changes along the way. Whenever there are cost differences or overages, they absorb those costs themselves, which has been a huge relief and eliminated any financial uncertainties.  

We use Zoom, Slack, and email for communication, while Jira and Confluence help us with project planning and tracking. Their structured approach has kept everything organized and running smoothly.
