One minor area for improvement was the time zone difference—Mediusware's team being 12 hours ahead of our US team sometimes made live communication and immediate feedback challenging. However, they mitigated this by proactively scheduling key meetings and discussions to accommodate our hours.  I was very concerned about this at the start, but the team's strong work ethic and detailed daily updates made this a non-issue.

Scope of Work

Starting from a pre-existing code-base, develop a web application using PHP that meets all stakeholder identified requirements. Develop a service in the Rust programming language that acts as an agent that can communicate with the web application using an API. This Rust agent must support multiple operating systems (Windows, Debian, Red Hat, etc.).

Key Deliverables

• All code necessary to compile and run both the web application and Rust agent
• Any necessary database schema changes (maintained in DB migrations)
• Documentation for the Rust agent, including how to build the code into an executable binary for the various distributions, and user documentation on how to install and use the agent.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Mediusware Ltd. successfully worked within the confines of our SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) to address over 70 requirements and/or issues we identified to develop a web application that met all of our immediate needs. They also built and delivered the Rust agent code-base from scratch. Thanks to Mediusware we have a robust solution that we can start delivering to our clients.

For our project, Mediusware Ltd. did an excellent job of keeping open communication with us on progress and they made sure they continued to have sufficient tasking throughout the process. They gave daily updates with all details necessary to keep the project moving forward. 

If there were ever complex issues that required detailed conversations, they worked around our available times to schedule meetings so we could discuss in live voice chats. If there were ever changes in requirements or questions, they were extremely responsive and detailed in their responses.
