BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the Marketing Manager of a transportation company. We are based in Dar es Salaam.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Larven Syndicate, and what were your goals?

We wanted to facilitate bus ticketing services using digitally. So that customers wouldn't physically have to book bus tickets. We hired Larven to help with this project.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were referred to Larven by one of our partners, after Larven developed an AI model for them. We consulted them and after going through their portfolio and track record, we were convinced that they could deliver.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The scope involved designing the user interface and experience, implementing the designs, the infrastructure and database. The key deliverables were the mock ups, the website, server and admin portal. The technologies used were NextJS, Firebase, and AWS.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with one senior engineer, two mid-level developers, a UI/UX designer and one product owner. 5 personell in total.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have gotten the deliverables in time. I couldn't be more happier with that. We have done a soft launch which has given us much traction. We are now set to launch by August this year.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We communicated via Google Meet and Discord where we had our own channel. They shared a project timeline with deliverables and deadlines. Hence we were able to track progress on our end.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The customer service is second to none. We had two weekly progress meetings which would keep us in loop and serve as a platform for us to share our feedback. This impressed me the most.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None that I could think of.
