We hired Geeks Root to rebuild our website. We needed a cleaner, simpler look to get our services across to the customer with newer content available. The main goal was to build a clean new website that integrated our scheduling and payment app, giving our clients another avenue to purchase clothing, equipment and services other than solely on our app.

Before meeting with multiple vendors, I checked out websites from other fitness facilities throughout the country and pieced together pages, ideas and things I liked. We are a small business, when meeting with vendors, pricing was a big talking point. Our project was not very complex, so pricing and the overall time it will take to finish the project was key. Geeks Root was good with both of those factors.

Our initial call with Geeks Root, I went over everything we were trying to accomplish with the new website. The sales rep took clear notes of our wants & needs. Once we were ready to move forward, I was introduced to an onboarding team that helped me the rest of the way. Through that time, I would send emails for changes on the site and they were made within the hour usually.

The communication between the onboarding team and myself is great. If one of my requests was not completely clear to the team, a call would happen to further discuss.

I believe throughout this project I've worked with 3 people mainly. The sales Rep, the onboarding team and the overall project manager.

Our site hasn't launched yet, but based off of what I am seeing with the new website it will allow our advertising & marketing to come full circle through social media and our website. As well as allow our customers a simpler and another avenue to make purchases.

The project manager lets you know every step and what's going on along the way. They really leave it up to you the customer to determine how fast you want this project done, if you the customer are dragging your feet or get busy they reach out and help you continue along the process.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I thought the troubleshooting integrating our business application into the website was impressive as it wasn't one of the most popular apps used in the fitness industry, so we made them do a little homework, but it was able to be integrated which was a deciding factor. Also, the idea of expansion in our business by adding locations, we built a site that can be grown as we do.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think the whole process was great and they are doing a great job. Any other technology projects we have in the future, Geeks Root will be my first phone call.

All the issues reported in the automatic feed were fixed, landing page was developed according to customer's expectation. Also the new website along with feed was developed with the provided content.

They kept us up to date with the progress and answered our queries in full. We did not have to spend much time to explain issues and requirements as the team is technically sound. We also held regular calls on skype to track progress and discuss issues faced during the testing.

We were impressed with the team's personality as it's hard to find a good technical team with the right attitude. They are friendly, professional and respectful.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Although we did not have much issues, but I think testing is the area where they can improve a little as sometimes (not always) things were handed over in rush without much testing. However upon highlighting those issues, those were fixed quickly.

We were required to do an API integration with Inventory Management Systems and Catalog System to keep our database in Sync with the suppliers. This project was performed by Geeks Root.

They had the required experience with our shopping cart system. Also, they have demonstrated past experience with API integrations.

Once we agreed on the scope of work we provided Geeks Root with access to our shopping cart system development area, and also gave them access to the supplier API integration manual. We also gave them the necessary credentials to that they can start making requests to various resources through the API. Our cart system uses PHP scripting and MYSQL database system. For this project they had to use JSON, XML and Java Script

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Once the project was completed we were able to display accurate inventory on our website, our prices were also automatically updated relative to the cost. And we were able to import new products automatically.

We developed written specifications, then we had a video call to explain and demonstrate integration points with our system. The call was recorded and probably used to brief the vendors internal team of developers. Periodically we would be asked to review progress and make comment. Once the bulk of the work was done, we started a round of testing, followed by necessary tweaks, and so on, until the work was done.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They recorded our explanation which was done via screen sharing tool. This probably saved a lot of back and forth and reduced the number of misunderstandings. They completed the project without problems. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We were lucky to have completed the project with no hiccups so I would not change anything that wasn't broken.

My company just launch and new product and was looking for several services to help with awareness. I was looking for a web design company that was capable of building an e-commerce site with custom features, help with designing info-graph images, and social media marketing. One of the most important things that I was looking for was consistent communication. I've been working very closely with Tony on all of the task. 

He has been extremely pleasant to work with. There were a few challenges, but nothing that couldn't get worked out. The website looks fantastic, the images are outstanding, and with social media marketing began working within a few hours once a campaign had launch. The followers and likes start showing up really quickly somewhere around 20 - 50 per day. Being that I work in IT, I understand when things don't go exactly as planned. There was nothing about my request that was cookie cutter. 

This is where you will see how customer service either shines or shows to be a disaster. Working with Tony has shown that he clearly understands the urgency for resolutions. There are still just a few task minor task that need to be addressed. Other than that, we've been good to go. And I absolutely can see this as a long term partnership. 

Would I recommend GEEKS ROOT's service? Absolutely. GEEKS ROOT is the 3rd company that I've used, and by far the best. They understood my request and the requirements. They understood my product. And they understood my budget. 

 We have weekly status update call on progress, anything that needs addressing, and roadmap planning for 2024. Things have been moving in the right direction. Very please with my decision to use GEEKS ROOT.

My Site for 8 months still does not function properly. I will need to pay another person to fix all Geeksroot mistakes. Two things in my CONTRACT. They did not provide a- 6 Filters b- Payment integration. 

1. 3/11 the manager that worked on my website emails me with threat of law action for posting a review. LOL it's perfectly legal to write a review. 
2. 3/14 the owner of the company writes an email apologizing and that I had every right to be frustrated and EXACT QUOTE "would love to have your issues resolved swiftly and of utmost quality as a part of compensation, I would refund all the monies that you have paid over this project to us" (LIE he did not and has not)
3.  3/15 I say thank you and ask for my refund 
4. Again it takes 2 whole days to get a response and when I do, The owner tries to BRIBE and offer not a FULL money but ONLY 50% contingent on I take down the review and then will release the rest. (UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICE and AGAINST TRUST PILOT RULES) 
5. 3/17 I do not agree and continue to ask for full refund as promised in the first email. The owner doesn't even know my contract of how much money I spent. This incompetent behavior. He didn't research but said he read ALL The communication. Also admits the Threats were wrong. 
6. 3/18 I don't hear back and try to reach him on the phone. The employees LIE to me several times with excuses why he can't come to the phone. Also their phone system sometimes goes on auto response and asks for extensions but the employees claim they are not authorized to give direct extensions or the PUBLIC last name of the owner who already has his last name in the email. They have "another employee" with the same first name, however he is not in the directory as well. 
7. 3/18 Owner promise like every other deadline missed during the project, that he will contact me in 1.5 hours. 3 and a half hours later I call and surprise he's not there. He does not CALLS BACK. Instead I get an email claiming family emergency. Apologizing. They always apologize but often do not actually DO what they say. 
8. 3/18 Email says that he can't (THE OWNER) refund the money (HE PROMISED) but only part. Not even half the money. Claiming I'm using the website. SITE IS NOW CLOSED UNTIL I GET FULL REFUND Yes it Was up and running but I have no clients or workers cause the site isn't functioning properly DUE TO BAD CODING/DESIGN. WHEN I WAS OFFERED FULL MONEY REFUND this was the case. Nothing change from the first email. WHY NOW IS HE NOT OFFERING ME EVEN HALF REFUND. 
9. Overall claims he can't refund the credit card I paid with and ask for my BANKING INFO. I do not trust them with my bank info. They are required to refund how I paid. I even offer my paypal which I know they work with because the manager told me they use Paypal. 
10. I tell them NEVER to contact me again until I see the full refund. They once again TRY TO MAKE THE REFUND CONTINGENT ON TAKING THE REVIEW DOWN. THAT IS AGAINST TRUST PILOT RULES AND HENCE THIS NEW REVIEW. You have been warned...AGAIN. Now all they did was waste a full week of my time and make me angrier and more frustrated. Moreover, they had bad customer service and constantly missed deadlines.

They also managed our website redesigning very well, through this we got a hold in the market and our communication between existing dealers increased a lot and we were able to connect with new dealers.

Greeks Root had prepared a big team for us but most of my communication was only with the team leader, I used to specially discuss with the graphic designer for design related work but I don't have much discussion with other team members but I had faith in their skills, all were quite confident.

A very strong proof is that our genuine client leads have increased and we have been successful in attracting our potential customers, we have been able to showcase the uniqueness and quality of our products in the market. Product packaging plays an important role in the marketing strategy as this market is competitive and it is necessary to stand out in the crowd and Greeks Root has ensured that. Our redesigned website has been very well commented by the customers stating that some of the useful tools that have been added to the website make their surfing easy. This new website best showcases our products and services.

I was majorly connected with the team leader and we used to have regular communication, we mainly used skype as medium of communication, overall our discussions were very fruitful, they left no stone unturned to clear my doubts, were very punctual and responsible, fixed our meeting time and made the weekly report process transparent.

They were very enthusiastic people and they know how to get you excited too, they took the project seriously and responsibly, they were very optimistic and creative and did not hesitate to experiment.

It was easy for us to choose which vendor to give the app development work. We had set some criteria based on which we interviewed 5 vendors and felt that Greek Roots had the most experience and expert team which was suitable for us thus we gave this work to this vendor.

We had an in-depth discussion with project manager and we provided him with a list of our high level requirements then he introduced us to his team members and directed designers and analysts to create a mock-up of the app. We used the mock-up to develop the final UI of the app. After that they developed the MVP to test the viability of our app and after the success of the MVP they developed the app for Android and IOS, they developed the app from scratch.

This app was for all our users who want to check their respective loan status, so that they can maintain their accounts and take small details themselves and do some common operations related to their accounts.

Our team had Project Manager leading all the members and other members included Frontend Backend Developers, UI Designers, Expert Analysts and Testers.

We have listed it for our users on App Store about 1 month ago and have given notification to our users to use it. Almost all of our users have used it and shared their experience, we are very glad that most of their reviews were positive and everyone found it easy to use and told that they have got a lot of conveniences because of this app and they manage their account mostly by themselves.

Some of our users also complained about lagging in the app, but that will be rectified by updating the app.

We worked with them on this project for about 5 months and their style of project management is very good, I noticed that the communication between us and the team was very good, this was because we had routine conversation during the project and we would get an update on the project at the end of the week, overall the management is very good, and there is transparency in the project.

This is a very genuine company, their working style is very flexible and here we have the availability of experts.

They completed the task given by us on time, didn't give any chance of complaint till the end of the project so I can't give any suggestion about it, all is wonderful.
