Although the process took longer than expected, The Free Website Guys guided me through the process and was always willing to answer questions. 
His team had the technical know-how to choose the most meaningful and cost-effective plugins to make the site work well, things I would have never known about as a novice user. Even after the backend setup was finished, Sven was willing to help when I got stuck editing the site and didn't know how to make things look the way I needed them to. I greatly appreciate all their work.

I am very pleased with the process of building a website with The Free Website Guys. I have wanted a site to showcase my writing and research for several years, but was intimidated and overwhelmed by the prospect of doing it entirely myself.  The Free Website Guys offered the expertise and support to make it happen. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something The Free Website Guys could have done differently?

While there was not a charge for the labor, I did need to pay for hosting and other services that would make it possible for me to easily maintain the site. I wish I had understood this better before I signed up. Even so, The Free Website Guys offered good recommendations and discounts on the services that I'll need to be successful.  An expected timeline would also have been helpful, although I know every project is different and it would be hard to predict.
