I’m so happy with how my site looks. It is set up exactly how I wanted it. It was done in very quickly in my opinion, it would have taken me so long to do what they did

Constant communication and very responsive. I had some things come up and didn’t focus on the website process and not once were they pushy or rude that I hadn’t responded for a few days. They made it very easy to understand what they were doing and why

How attentive and detailed they were. They treated my website like their main priority

I truly can’t think of any!

I had very little knowledge of Wordpress, but I trusted their instructions and process and so far, the site is perfect for my needs.

I worked with one person who gathered my information, then one person, Sven, ran my project. He was prompt and communicated clearly. I was never lost in the process even though I know nothing about web building.

I have yet to update and customize the website.

I wanted something elegant and yet simple for me to operate going forward. Getting my brand out there was very important to me and I needed someone to help create the look I was going for.

I heard about The Free Website Guys through a networking group on Facebook. It sounded too good to be true, but I reached out anyways, and I'm so glad I did!

Creating a web store is something that I knew I couldn't do on my own. I explained what I needed, and how and wanted it to look, and the team did the rest, keeping me up to date every step of the way.

What was the team composition?

I was initially introduced to Sven who became my main contact and walked me through the process. He wrote an Email to me a minimum of once or twice a week, and made sure I was aware of every step and had complete control over any design decisions.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I have only just begun to add my own content to the website, but I am very pleased so far and looking forward to seeing where it takes me!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I was personally in contact with the same person throughout the entire project. I was extremely pleased with the communications between the two of us, and greatly appreciated that only one person was handling my case and didn't need to deal with explaining things to a different person every time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I, of course, was thrilled with the price point of this service, but the thing I appreciated the most was that Sven never made me feel silly or stupid for not understanding the "tech lingo" or for asking if he could walk me through certain processes.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I really couldn't say that I was unhappy with anything the team did during this project.

The Free Website Guys built my website from the ground up. I had a clear vision for my company and the website was an integral part to Eventing Together's official launching. I envisioned a colourful, easy to navigate website with a friendly feel.

The Free Website Guys take on a couple of 'free' clients. I applied for this channel with my startup idea, and was accepted to move forward in the process. This allowed me to spend money on the website theme, domain and other startup costs.

The Free Website Guys supported me in setting up everything from a domain, host, WordPress account, BlueHost account, etc. Each step was clearly laid out for me in email or in a step-by-step video by Sven and his team. At the end of the project, I was given a handover video which made the transition process seamless.

I believe three people. Sven Nilsen, the lead developer, was my point of contact. Some of the step-by-step videos were done by others who I am assuming were developers as well!

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Once I had officially launched the website, there were 86% New Visitors and 14% Returning Visitors. I was very pleased with the number of views just in the first day and visitors were averaging 1 minute and 32 seconds on the site - which is great considering the website content I have put in is just bare bones for the time being.

All communication was over email. Very professional and welcoming spirit.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The handover video is VERY helpful, as I am not super familiar with WordPress. The Free Website Guys showed me exactly how to edit content and add my logo, etc.

Email response time could be quicker, however, they were building a free website, so no complaining here!

They had to build a WordPress blog. We chose a magazine theme. They kept us up to date on all the frontend and backend processes they worked on.

I am unsure how many, I had contact with only one person. Sven who was the lead developer. He did a lot of the work and helped us out a lot.

All deliverables were met on time and the team was very helpful. I think The Free Website Guys is an awesome service. It has allowed my team to have another service we can offer. The free website guys are fast and efficient. They explained each step along the way. They have some of the best customer services I have experienced. I give them a 5 out of 5.

It was all through email and the explanations for things were via video tutorials.

They build websites for free but take it very seriously and professionally.

I feel like it would have been nice to get to know them more on a personal level, but I am an extrovert. So that area of improvement isn't for everyone.

I am very happy with the website that was built for me by TheFreeWebsiteGuys! I was a little hesitant at first but I also had no idea where to start with building a website. They were very helpful with building the site and getting me started.

Sven consistently sent updates about the progress and with a time-frame about when things would be completed. They also created a hand-over video about how to edit the page once it is complete which was extremely helpful. Highly recommend them!!

Very effective, they did everything in a short time frame and communicated very well.

The explanation videos, forms and information that they shared. It was well organised and easy to understand.

I was satisfied with the work they did. The only thing is that occasionally it took a while for them to respond or update me BUT I also understand the workload they have and they did my website for free.

I wanted a visually pleasing website that was inviting and fit a coaching atmosphere; I wanted very few pages to not confuse with easy navigation. After I finish populating my website with photos and text, I will have the confidence to direct potential clients there; since I am in charge of the website now, will allow me to present myself in exactly the way I want to come across to my clients - that is very exciting!

I tried to build the website myself, but did not get far. I had looked around for website builders and asked other coaches, but did not like what I saw. Then, I happened to come across an ad for the Free Website Guys and liked everything about their ad.

Once the design team leader Sven and I began emailing, the dreaded process became very easy. I wanted a basic design and the website set up in such a way that I would be able to make changes later to make this cost-effective for me. Of course, I also wanted the site to be found when searched. Each team email led me further; from choosing a host to my logo, from design choices to be made to the number and kind of webpages within my site. Sven's team took care of all the setups that I would not have even known to ask about, such as plug-ins and data collection on visitors.

I emailed with Sven only, but his team worked on my website. The "hand-over" video was created by a team member.

As this is a new launch, I have no data yet. First feedback from friends has expressed how good the website looks, and that it serves the purpose I wanted it for - a client looking for a health and/or wellness coach.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

All their communications were flawless, prompt, and concise. Scheduling was excellent. My expectations were exceeded by a mile; the support included either step-by-step instructions, PDFs or access to non-public videos. I used all of their supplied tools to either respond to the team or later, to edit my website.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The support structure is very unique and to the point. It seems like all possible questions have been collected and are answered before they are asked. Also, their response time is marvellously short. I even received emails on the weekend! I have been in business long enough in different capacities, and their service is just top notch.

No; I know that I received a high-quality product.

All in all, they really helped me deal with the tech side of things I'm not comfortable with. This helped take the pressure off, as I knew everything would be done right. They also helped me understand WordPress and other key plugins better.

Let's get real - the guys are offering their services FREE OF CHARGE! The most unique factor is that they're very professional and helpful despite the fact that they're not being paid.

No, but maybe future clients would like to get some extra advice on website customization. That's perhaps something to think about, but it's entirely up to the team to decide about that.
