They communicated well throughout the project; they were straightforward and answered quickly to my inquiries. In my case, they went in a different direction than what they usually work with, and they also helped me solve all my issues. In terms of communication, we used email and video-recorded messages.

Communication stood out throughout our engagement — they listened to what I needed and were available for my issues.

The Free Website Guys have access to amazing programs at low or no cost to set up a website. They guided me every step of the way and delivered in a quick and professional manner.

I had one contact throughout the project which really streamlined the whole process. I got some tutorials and videos from additional staff but Sven was my main contact at the team.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

I finally have a website of my own. I'm excited to use it for my students and my copywriting projects. It's fresh and new so no major statistics to share but the very fact that it's there is huge progress.

They communicated via email and sent over videos and tutorials. The timeliness was impeccable, and they were super forgiving of any delays on my end. They were a real pleasure to deal with in that sense. Organized, comprehensive and they really walked me through the process.

I did not pay them for their work and yet they did an amazing job, no skimping or cutting corners.

No they did great, I highly recommend them!

I already had a business website with another website provider, and I wanted to “copy” that website and make it a Wordpress site in order to save costs and have more options when it comes to plugins, such as for bilingual sites etc.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I found their post in a Facebook group.

As you can imagine, I had literally no idea where to start. The Free Website Guys helped me to create my hosting and my Wordpress account by giving me the exact instructions for each step I had to take. Moreover, they advised my about all the different options out there for bilingual sites and WordPress themes, giving me detailed explanations about the benefits and costs of each one of them. After I chose the theme, they even offered me to access to an AstraPro subscription for a one-time payment of 25 $, which would normally cost 10 times as much. In the next step, they ask you to make a video in which you tell them exactly which elements you would like to change/ add/ delete on your site, creating a basic structure in which you can later add personalized content. I personally did not do that, because I preferred doing the whole design process myself.

As I had a new business idea during that period, I ended up not copying my old site, but creating a completely new one. It was super easy to do so, because The Free Website Guys had previously send me a personalized video in which they explained all the exact functions to edit the website. After finishing the design process of the new site, I had to point the domain from the old provider to the new one. Sven told me exactly what to do, and I honestly have to say that I would have never been able to do that myself without his help. After that, they created a Google Analytics account for me (among other things), sending me a details video customized video about everything I have to know in future.

I mainly worked with Sven, but I there were a couple of other people involved, for example for the creation of the customized videos etc.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I am literally overwhelmed by the effort that the Free Website Guys put into the creation of my site. I would have never thought that creating a new website – or even just copying an existing site – takes so much work and decisions to take – from choosing a hosting service to selecting the right theme, comparing prices, pointing the domain, creating a Google Analytics account.

The Free Website Guys helped me to choose between each option by advising me about the pros and cons as well as the costs, and, as soon as I had taken a decision, they explained in detail each step that I had to take next, even creating personalized videos for that.

Their service goes far beyond only creating a website – they`re advising you about everything you need to know, they´re always there to answer your questions (I had thousands of them) and they´re committed to finding the best solution for yourself. Really recommendable!"

Very effective. They always respond the same day, issues were dealt with immediately.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed by the amount of work they put into not only the creation of the website, but also to advise their clients about all the choices out there. Moreover, I was really impressed by their patience. We started working together in October, and due to personal issues, I couldn´t finish the designing part of my website until June or July. When I came back to them, they were still super nice and helpful, not even asking why it took me so long.

They updated me just about every day with what was going on and where they were in the process of building the site. For the things I needed to do, they had detailed videos which were easy to follow and written instructions that were also super easy to follow. I was a tad confused with one part of the process so I asked some questions and they immediately took the time to really explain everything to me.

I worked with Sven directly and then some of the videos with content were from other people in the office working on my site.

I love my website too! It's fast, looks great, and its everything I wanted and needed it to be! I am super impressed! The videos The Free Website Guys sent at the end of the process explaining how to make changes and add more content were so helpful and I have been able to update the website on my own without breaking it!!

It was great! They kept me up to date pretty much daily on what they were doing on their end and what the progress was.

They were extremely patient with me and took the time out of their busy schedules to explain in more detail all the things I was confused about and helped me understand the best choice to make for certain things. They were professional and happy to help as well.

You can tell thet enjoy what they do and my site is perfect! ITts fast and I am able to make changes without breaking It!

We used Bluehost as the basis, gave them admin rights to the URL, and they built a website using WordPress. We picked a theme or two and they integrated in for us.

While we still haven't completed our website (COVID is to blame...), we are absolutely delighted with the work they did for us.

Our company worked with The Free Website Guys to build SustainableTracker.com to begin aggregating information, events, and actions related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The Free Website Guys did not charge to build the website but selected our project based on their vetting process. Costs for the site were only for the hosting and Wordpress theme (optional) that gave them a small affiliate payment.

Approximately 5 months after submitting the project idea to The Free Website Guys, Sven - the Lead Developer - reached out to say that they selected SustainableTracker.com to build. With each step of the build out, he sent clear instructions including videos recorded by the team to get feedback and input on what to build.

The process was very straightforward for them to build the backend based on the look and framework of content that I wanted, and I was able to easily go into the backend to wrap up the project by turning the site live and editing the template with content that I wanted to put on the website.

I had one main point of contact only, Sven (Lead Developer) who indicated that overall the team spent about 7 hours on the website.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The website is now live and I'm able to make edits to it whenever I would like, and get feedback from the public on the content. There will be more work to get the content to the next level and begin driving more traffic to the site.

Overall, Sven and The Free Website Guys team are awesome! They have a straightforward process to build the framework for a new website, with videos and written details to make it easy to update content. The team is highly responsive and able to turn your vision into reality. I look forward to growing the SustainableTracker.com website and appreciate The Free Website Guys for helping to get it off the ground.

It's unique to find a website development company that will not charge for the hours of service. I think that their process is buttoned up and scalable.

I wouldn't change anything in the way they worked. They allowed me to follow up on my own time, and were also quick to respond after I did send them the required information to move on to each next step.

I took a look at their website to understand their capability and how they could help; I quickly made an application since I had to set up a new online presence for my property development business and I wanted to outsource the heavy lifting for the task.

Their team was so quick to get back to me with the good news that my project was of interest and from the point they set the ball rolling Sven was absolutely great with communication, progress reports, providing easy to understand videos which laid out options for next steps and helped me know what was required at each step of the way.
