This adjustment is based on real-time and predictive velocity and acceleration data of satellites and spacecraft. The core of our proposal involves the development of a novel protocol that utilizes heartbeat messages for the dynamic adjustment of communication parameters in orbital communication systems. This would entail the formulation of a new message format to convey essential velocity and acceleration data, alongside a mechanism for calculating dynamic communication margins. Before we proceed with our detailed proposal, we seek to confirm a few critical points with you guys:
1. Given that our concept is original and currently lacks a formal draft or pre-existing specification, would our project be considered appropriate for submission?

Measuring the success of a project largely depends on its desired outcomes. Since different projects have varying goals, their evaluation criteria for success will also differ.

I was working on waterfall projects typically have a defined scope, schedule, and cost at the outset. If changes are required during project execution, the project manager returns to the planning phase to determine a new plan and expectations across scope, schedule, and cost (commonly called the iron triangle).  

I have also learned about the schedule variance is the difference between the work planned and completed at a given time. It helps project managers understand whether the project is on track, ahead, or behind schedule. A positive SV indicates that the project is ahead of schedule, while a negative SV suggests that the project is behind schedule. Monitoring this metric throughout the project allows teams to identify potential bottlenecks and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.

I've noticed that the actual cost represents the total amount of money spent on a project up to a specific point in time. It includes all expenses related to the project, such as personnel costs, material costs, and equipment costs. I had also learned that the cost variance is the difference between a project's expected and actual costs. A positive CV indicates that the project is under budget. Monitoring cost variance helps project managers identify areas where the project may be overspending and implement corrective actions to prevent further cost overruns.

The planned value is vital to estimate the value of the work that should have been completed by a specific point in time. I’m the CEO of a company that creates and delivers craft cocktail experiences, bringing elevated entertainment and artisanal drinks to people regardless of their location, with a focus on creativity and lifestyle enhancement.

We needed help with fundraising.

What was the scope of their involvement?

FasterCapital has developed our profile and aligned our data with what makes sense to present to investors. The team has built our pitch for investors and completed market research to ensure it makes sense. Currently, we’re in the matching phase with angel investors, and soon, investor meetings will be arranged.

What is the team composition?

I’ve been in contact with three teammates from FasterCapital in different roles.

How did you come to work with FasterCapital?

I found FasterCapital on LinkedIn. Initially, we weren’t looking for an accelerator but rather for fundraising. However, FasterCapital suggested they could enroll us into their accelerator for free and then take a cut from the raised capital if successful. Thus, they had an option that others didn’t.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with FasterCapital in June 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

So far, FasterCapital has delivered reports and calls regarding investor questions. We expect investor meetings to begin within the next month or so.

How did FasterCapital perform from a project management standpoint?

We don’t have a time limit per se. Since it’s a fundraising project, no one can guarantee a timeline. We communicate through email.
