We needed help with web development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dot IT provided web development services. We started the project with a kickoff meeting to discuss their offerings and processes. Eventually, we decided on a WordPress site.

We then shared our requirements and ideas with their WordPress development team, and they gave us feedback on what they could do for us. Additionally, we supplied them with both written and visual content.

They then started to build the site out according to our feedback. We initially had another hosting provider, but the website worked better on Dot IT’s hosting solution, so we decided to stick with them.

Dot IT continues to maintain the site, which is available in both English and Arabic. It features a contact form, a floating banner on the homepage, and more.

What is the team composition?

A team of 3–4 worked in the background, but I only spoke with the founder and director.

How did you come to work with Dot IT?

I researched various companies online and asked for some proposals. Dot IT suggested having a phone call to discuss what we wanted for the website, and it went well. Price-wise, their offer was also reasonable, so we decided to go with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $1,000–$2,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from May–September 2021. They recently just handed off the website.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since we just launched the website, we have yet to receive any feedback. However, we were satisfied with their work.

How did Dot IT perform from a project management standpoint?

Dot IT managed the project very well. The team was communicative and in contact with us almost daily. Whenever we gave the team feedback, they would apply it to their work within 1–2 days.

We didn’t use any project management tool, but we communicated over email, WhatsApp, and phone calls. Their replies were always quick and on point, and if we had any issues, they would get in touch with us immediately.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It was a very smooth process — we were delighted with their services. Even now, we know we can always reach out to Dot IT and receive a swift reply.

They could’ve provided more frequent status updates. However, this wasn’t something that really bothered me.

We needed to work on our SEO performance. Last year, if someone was to Google top law firms in Egypt, we wouldn’t have appeared in search results on the first three pages. That wasn’t good for us, so we hired Dot IT to work with us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, Dot IT built our website from scratch. The previous site we had wasn’t good and presentable, so I wanted something that looked professional. Just by looking at the website, people should be able to trust our law firm to handle their legal problems. Moreover, the website we wanted wasn’t basic; it had a lot of information and talked about our team.

At present, Dot IT helps us with our SEO efforts and keyword research campaigns, giving us guidance around the keywords we must include on the website. Their team also tells us which keywords should be included within our articles to increase our ranking on Google search results.

Speaking of articles, our work is highly technical because it’s in the legal field. Being the PR director, I can’t write articles; they have to be written by a lawyer. Given that, Dot IT recommends the topics we should write about by giving us keywords. One of our lawyers will then write about the topic.

My main point of contact was their owner.

How did you come to work with Dot IT?

I searched for the top SEO companies in Egypt on Google, and they came out number one in the results. I thought that if they could put themselves there, they could also do it for us. I had no previous knowledge of them, but since they were ranked at the top, I believed they knew about SEO. As a result, I hired them.

We paid about $1,000 for the website. At present, we pay around $9,000 a month for their retainer fee.

Dot IT continuously does a great job, and I haven’t felt any drops in their performance at any point. Thanks to their continuous work, we now appear on the first page of search results. Every article they’ve recommended us to write has been shown on the first page of Google.

On top of that, we’ve received more than 1,500 emails through the website from potential customers over the last year. In other words, we’ve gained a wide reach, and we’re reaching the right people.

How did Dot IT perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re always on time. If something’s urgent, we communicate through WhatsApp since I’m not easily reachable via email. Moreover, we receive reports from them every month using Google Analytics, which shows us how the website is performing. It also shows us where our visitors come from and what keywords make us appear on search results.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re always on time, and their owner doesn’t overpromise. He tells me what we can reach for a certain month, and we often reach it. He sets realistic milestones and knows what he’s doing.

No, there aren’t any.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Listen to what Dot IT says and deliver what they ask. In our engagement, we experience a drop in our SEO performance when we fail to deliver the article they request. The fault is on us since we fail to give them what they need.
