I’m the owner of a website development company that has been in business for 15 years.

What challenge were you trying to address with Digicorns Technologies?

We hired Digicorns for various types of work that changed over time.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Digircorns has done a lot of website design work for us. The projects vary, though I usually start out with a questionnaire to get started. I have a writer who gives me an idea of where things should end up. We then give the photos, content, and existing logo to the Digicorns team, which then designs and develops the website. 

Currently, we’re working on a new website; they’re developing it and its logo from scratch. It’s a much simpler website than the ones they’ve worked on earlier for us. It’s a brochure-type website, whereas the other ones have e-commerce features. They use WordPress to build it. In terms of design, I tend to leave everything up to them other than using the colors in the logo. 

What is the team composition?

We work with 11 teammates from Digicorns, including developers and designers. 

How did you come to work with Digicorns Technologies?

They contacted us, and we did some work with them. At the same time, we were searching for a new company to deal with, so we tried two companies — Digicorns was one of them. I found their procedures and protocols to be much closer to what we wanted than the other vendor. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our most recent project started in February 2023, and it’s ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

In the projects we’ve solved together, Digicorns has shown us that they understand the designs we give them. I simply have to explain how I need the site to work, and they work well in giving me that. We’re happy with their work — they’ve met my expectations. 

We’ve had a couple of hiccups in the beginning, but that’s just because everybody works differently. After getting through those hiccups, we’ve started working better together as a team. That’s the goal in any situation like this. 

How did Digicorns Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Digicorns has project management software. They also have a project manager that communicates directly with me. If want them to fix or do something, I can share that with him. He then delegates the task to the team. To communicate, we use email, texting, and a mix of other communication tools. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The size of their staff is impressive — this is important to me. For context, we had a situation before where we had to wait a long time to get things done because the team only had one person. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. If anything, I need to be more careful with my instructions for what I need — I sometimes don’t communicate something or describe it well enough. As a result, they sometimes misinterpret it. Some things take a longer conversation. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Understand your needs thoroughly and down to the details. When you work with someone for a long time, that person understands you, and you don’t have to talk a lot. However, when you change developers or start with a new company, you must get into the details of what you’re asking them to do.
