Brainvire has the ability to really adhere to the designs, which matters especially with the more dynamic ones. We’ve given them some challenging designs, and they’ve come through.

The customer response is very positive. They’re getting much higher engagement and conversions, and there’s generally a much more elevated experience for users.

They’re very structured. We use Jira, Google Sheets, and Slack, and we follow weekly sprints. They give us daily updates before and after starting the work. They make accurate estimates, and they’ve never been late.

Brainvire is proactive. They’re very skilled at WordPress development, although they can do more complex work than that. They have a good sense of best practices, and they’ve made a lot of recommendations to us.

There really isn't anything that comes to mind. We’ve had a positive experience with Brainvire.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

They should make sure to have well-defined requirements and designs. Once Brainvire gets going, they’ll move so fast that the client might run out of things to give them. There should be a well-defined backlog in place.

We researched several vendors and also posted questions and requested recommendations from our networks. Brainvire was among the list and after interviewing with the team, we felt we would make a good team.

We hired BrainVire to help us build a user friendly Android App that offers users a way to learn guitar easily and effectively. The app required some music knowledge and the team was very willing to work with us to successfully accomplish all milestones. Some of the key elements included:

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started from scratch, so first, we discussed the concept. From there, we went back and forth on what the pages would look like, what functionality we needed to implement, and how the database tied into the data.

Then they built a framework and tested it. Once everything was approved, they went into coding. They originally built the system using PHP, but then they decided to use another scripting language. The platform ties into our invoicing, ordering, and emails. It is also connected to an app.

The project manager ensures everything is on track. The database lead is quite knowledgeable, and their team works well. They’re very responsive – we have a standup call every morning. Sometimes, the call is 10 minutes, and sometimes, it’s an hour.

What did you find most impressive about them?

So far, I’m happy with the way things are moving along. I’d consider them for a future project.

I’ll be able to answer this when the project ends.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is dependent on the timeline someone has. My original estimate for our project was 18-20 weeks, but we wanted to get something delivered in 12-14 weeks.

I can release the MVP in my current project, but we’re still building other bells and whistles. That allowed me to cut down some of the timelines, but that depends on the project.

I usually like to have a standup daily early in the engagement. Once we get settled in a certain stage, I’d shift it to every other day. Many times, methods get lost in chat applications, and everyone has their own working style. Just pick up the phone and clarify rather than going back and forth on email – this is something that suits me.

Our CEO had an idea for a new safety product. I was employed to manage all of the design and market research all the way to development where we needed to engage a partner.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I’ve been working regularly with them for the development of the digital safety system. We started with phase one to get it to an MVP. I did a lot of the functional requirements and detailed designs. It was only in the last two weeks that we’ve gotten to the end of phase one. Now, we’re transitioning from the defined work of phase one to an ongoing time-based role.

The solution is basically a SaaS-based, online safety management system. Users will be able to manage their safety in their own way. They’ll be able to go in there and set up the account for exactly how they want to manage safety. Hypothetically, if they have an inspection or checklist that they do, they can build that in the system. We have a form builder in there. They can build their forms as they need to and then go out into the workplace and actually manage them on their phones and tablets or can complete it on the desktop.

What is the team composition?

I spent most of my time engaging with Rohit (Team Lead) who works as a business analyst. He sat between me, the frontend developer, and the backend developer working on the project. Over time, they ended up getting another developer involved as well.

How did you come to work with Brainvire Infotech Inc?

I did my due diligence to the best of my ability. I looked at organizations within Australia, the Philippines, India, and a couple in the US as well. There were financial considerations as well because we’re a startup. I came up with a list of about 50 different vendors through online search efforts, including Clutch. I reached out to all of them and shortlisted some. In the initial engagement process, we felt Brainvire Infotech Inc would be a good fit based on the team they’d provide and their reasonable pricing.

We started working together in August 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I don’t have any metrics yet. When we looked at phase one, we broke it down into 5–6 key areas of the platform. The first part was getting the UI done, but it was then integrated with the user registration like user authentication. We break it down in that fashion and then we set each of those as a milestone. We roughly attributed a month for each milestone. Some milestones are a lot bigger than others. We based it on that. We approximated it would take 4–5 months.

How did Brainvire Infotech Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re really good. Their team was very flexible in using what I wanted if I felt strongly about something. We use Trello for the most part. With the new system, I had used Jira before but they were very open to whatever I preferred. I use Jira to copy all the functional requirements and they run with that from what I’ve given to them. I used Figma to design the UI in collaboration with their frontend designer. I’d give them all the design work that I’d done and morphed it over and made it their own.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One of the things that I appreciate most is their willingness to go out of their way for me. They are very good at communicating exactly what the options are, what we could do, and even helping me understand from a technical standpoint. I’m not a developer. I’ve picked up things over this journey which has been amazing. Brainvire Infotech Inc has really helped me with that.

They’re really good at communicating with detail. I can reach out to developers specifically and have one-on-one chats to help them understand the requirements if there’s any miscommunication. It’s allowed for a cohesive development process. There hasn’t been the bottleneck of everything going through one person.

Nothing has ever been a problem for them. Some teams can be very passive and nod their heads at what the client wants. They do that but are also very open in providing feedback and sharing their own ideas. That’s been really appreciated.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s always an initial period of getting to know how each team works, collaborating together and building the relationship. Overall, I haven’t had any issues at all with working with them. If there was ever anything I thought we could improve on, they’ve been completely responsive to everything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I get a lot of value out of seeing people and talking to them. Being an Indian-based company, it could very easily be done on Skype without ever seeing them. I found it very rewarding getting on video chats with them. That contributed to me selecting them in the first place.

I felt very happy to get on video chats and have those kinds of talks. Knowing the people you deal with means a lot. They’re quite comfortable with video chats. If you’re comfortable using any certain communication tools, tell them. That made my life a lot easier.

We engaged with Brainvire Infotech on two projects. For our e-commerce business, we previously had multiple websites, which was a challenge. It was difficult to maintain all of them under different platforms.

For example, we were using Magento but then used different versions for different countries. Some were using Enterprise, and some were using the community versions. Our challenge was to try to maintain multiple sites with the resources we had.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We got Brainvire Infotech to look into our e-commerce web structure. It was the whole structure for the whole group, and we engaged with them to try and standardize a standard version so that we could apply it across the group wherever the country of operation is.

We wanted to have one single instance, making for more efficient upgrading and updating of data. Their team took us through that process.

Because of their familiarity with the site, we decided to engage with them for monthly maintenance. In terms of troubleshooting and technical issues, they’re the ones that support us regularly. We also have engaged them to work on another project to implement a standard ERP system across the group, which is ongoing. As we have multiple entities in the group, the implementation will be on a stage-by-stage basis.

We started working with them in early 2020, which went through the coronavirus pandemic. We finished that project in August or September 2020, but we’re currently working on the ERP project.

We have timelines for these implementations and different stages. In the case of our most recent project, we have regular updates. We use a Gantt chart for various releases and weekly updates to ensure everything is on track. We have regular communication with their team.

Because of their efficient communication style, we know who to approach for any issues that arise. We’ve maintained a close relationship with their project manager.  Their team keeps us updated on what they’ve developed. They’ve been responsive and quick to answer our queries, which we’re happy with.

Along with our project Gantt chart, we use Jira. I believe Brainvire Infotech also has its own project management tool, which helps them know weekly completion status.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve worked with third parties that took a while to get back to us in the past. Whereas with Brainvire Infotech, we’ve been able to reach out to them, and they get back to us very promptly. They also have an account manager that we can get into direct contact with. That’s been very helpful.

So far, there isn’t anything I can think of at the moment.

At the very beginning, time must be spent on scoping out the project so that both parties are aware of the extent of the involvement in any implementation.

I am the COO and CFO of an artist management platform. We promote US-based artists through our platforms, including our physical book, web portfolio, and social media channels. Our website allows users to export and manage their own portfolios.

The SSL, the security function on our website, was expiring. Due to the security expired function, users had a problem managing their own website, so it became an urgent issue for our business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

In addition to renewing the SSL, Brainvire Infotech Inc suggested we expand our scope of work and recommended that we update our code and switch the server to AWS.

There were three dedicated members of their team working on the project. On top of that, a few supervisors worked with us occasionally and oversaw the project.

I looked at some outside resources to fix the problem. Brainvire Infotech Inc was one of the strongest candidates that I found. I think they were referred to us and I also found them in a search. They seemed to be really solid in tech and apparently, they were the right size to be able to handle different problems and inquiries. I approached them to address the problem and asked for a quote to have them solve those issues.

We began working with them in December 2020, and we are wrapping up the project now. It is almost done.

I am satisfied with their service. They are dedicated to our project and they provide valuable input. They estimated they could complete the project in 100 hours of work, but they spent more than 300 hours on it because they found unexpected issues, bugs, and problems.  However, they didn’t request additional payment for their work. They autonomously figured out what they should do and completed the project as promised.

How did Brainvire Infotech Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

Our project manager is very open about their progress. Even though there is a time difference, he is flexible and responds to our requests. We usually communicate through email, Google Meet, or Zoom. We also use Skype for instant communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

There is a time difference between our team and theirs, but they still communicate well. I would compare them to any US-based provider because they’re able to provide more attention to our project despite the time difference. Their prices are also very competitive.

I don’t have anything right now.

Before hiring them, clearly define the scope. Then establish open communication channels so you can easily get in contact with one another. Skype might be a good option considering the time difference.

I’m the IT director of automotive for an automobile services company. We’re dealers of multiple brands such as General Motors, Ford, Cadillac, Honda, and more. We have various support businesses focused on the automotive industry such as quick-service chains.

We needed help to develop a B2C mobile app. We didn’t have any web or mobile solutions that customers could use to look at our portfolio or access various services such as a booking system. We had a legacy system that wasn’t very usable. It had limitations that we wanted to address with a partner.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed our iOS and Android app. It was a B2C mobile application covering sales and after-sales. They developed everything from the UI, design integration, developing, testing, and deployment for about six of our brands. It was a collaboration between their staff and several of our teams to research ideal app functionalities for our end product.

It was a hybrid project with onshore and offshore resources. There were two teammates on-site and about 8–10 people working offshore.

Their work quality was pretty high, especially their design deliverables. They were generally on time but took a little longer than expected in the original estimate. This is the first app within our country and peer group with this set of functionalities.

Scope out the project and engage on the design up front. Split up the project into design followed by execution. That way you can have a very detailed scope in place without much ambiguity in the project.
