Our old website was made with wordpress and an old page builder which did not work well any more. Every time we wanted to update something then something else was broken. Also every time our old Theme was updated then our ordering page broke. We wanted a modern look web page with a page builder that would go out of date in the near future. Baniwal could offer us that design with our own custom theme which ensure us that it will not break the order process page when we update something.

We received an offer from them with the right key words like custom theme for Elementor page builder. After checking them out on Clutch and other online reviews we decided to go with them.

At first we described the style we wanted on our pages, then we received some mock-ups for the main page, we asked for some changes and received new mock-ups. This iteration went on for some weeks until we had some mock-ups for the most of the pages.

At that point they build the website and we could follow the process and comment when needed. We then added our new text which required some new modules which they created and finalized for us. Due to an exhibition we wanted to go live with the website even though it was not fully completed. Baniwal have without any question continued to finalize our website.

I only met with one person from Baniwal but I think there were one designer and one programmer as well in the team.

The website turned out better than expected and people have commented that it looks very professional.

I had one contact that was very responsive. We communicated via Skype and it was easy to follow up on tasks that needed to be done.

I liked the fact that there never was an argument if this or that was included in the deal or not. We ordered a complete new website and they made all the pages we wanted, no questions asked.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Some SEO information was not transferred from our old web page. They corrected it later but I would have liked to have a check list where they described what they have done for each page. This would have given me a better overview of what we have done in terms of SEO.

The deliverables were completed to industry standards, within the timeframes provided, and their team was able to work with our Git repositories, servers, and all other collaborative systems. Clients were generally pleased with the outcomes of the projects and felt comfortable providing additional projects under the same scope.

Their owner and project coordinator are very responsive and they respect timelines, they've never missed a deadline. They integrated well with our project management tools, company email, chat, and more specialized platforms. As an augmented workforce with a narrow scope, they did this quite well. Their English skills are very good and there were never any problems interfacing with us or our clients directly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are the right fit for us due to the array of talent they provide to handle a wider range of programming tasks. You feel that you're working with a lone individual, yet it's a small team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not necessarily, I would like to see them maintain that smaller feel where they have in-house individuals to lease to you, not a farmed-distributed approach that many others like them take. With a farmed approach, quality and consistency is lacking, but Baniwal was able to overcome this internally by maintaining a small, controllable core of talent. That's important for their continued success.

After few corrections, their team designed and developed a WordPress site. They updated content and images, downloadable marketing collateral and adjusted colours to represent our brand, as we requested. They also created contact form, thank you page so we can track lead generation, contact forms for downloading our marketing collateral, etc.

A project manager, Rachit, was our main point of contact throughout the process. There were also a few developers and designer working behind the scenes.

Clients love the updated design, and they now have a better understanding of our services. In weeks to come, we are hoping to see increase in traffic and leads coming through, as this website is launched just recently.

We had daily communications with their project manager, who communicated with the rest of the team. They were very responsive, professional, and friendly. They would jump on any requests we had in 24hrs timeframe. We used Zoom, WhatsUp, and dropbox to coordinate, and they worked well with me.

They delivered a professional site that’s easy to update with many great features & downloadable material. I do have previous experience with WordPress, but on any questions & uncertainties I’ve had, Rachit was very responsive and helped to understand how to manage the website in future.

When we first launched, they were couple of minor issues with 1 link, but Rachit fixed the issue in less than 24 hrs.

I had another web site which I hired another company to do the same service. The other company had much more of a hard time delivering the same project. I was very impressed with the final result Baniwal delivered since there were much fewer glitches and I had to get involved much less than I did with the other company.

The site was dated but also the e-commerce aspects were dated and suffering from a long list of issues. We wanted to create a compelling front-end UX/UI but also needed to update the catalog and back-end processes.

I was explaining the challenge to a friend of mine. I was not sure I could get everything they wanted with the site, especially the back-end work. He suggested I reach out to Baniwal. He had used them for a project so I worked up a list of requirements.

I was not sure if they would be up to the task so asked a lot of questions before hiring. In each case they had provided a good response and the quote was inline with expectations.

The job was to build a new front-end e-commerce experience that would allow for good usability for a fairly large catalog of items. In addition, the client needed a way to manage changes on the backend for new items, inventory levels, shipping, etc.

The client did not want a traditional WordPress or Shopify site. Baniwal helped me decide on Laravel for the back-end system and a custom front-end in React and Node.js.

We settled on a JavaScript based e-commerce utility. The result was a highly performant front-end site with a secure back-end management layer. We mostly exchanged emails during the initial discussions.

I only dealt with the project manager and she handled all of the internal communication with the team. It was super easy.

Client was very pleased with the site. The design came out great and most importantly the UX/UI was also much improved. Due to the tech stack the website was also very performant.

We are not following up with this client on his ongoing sales or marketing so in terms of a boost is sales we are not sure. We did make a few tweaks to some of the design elements and product filters based on client feedback but it was fairly minor stuff.

They were good about providing project updates but sometimes I had to ask for more clarity and examples. Their project timeline was on the mark and the project came in on budget.

We had regular touchpoint meetings setup on Monday's. Each week I'd have my punch list of deliverables for the week. Our PM was good about providing updates and timelines. We mostly used email and Slack for our communications.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They had enough experience where I didn't have to explain in much detail. They seemed to know what I wanted. In some cases they made suggestions I had not thought of. It appeared that they knew the space well.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were a couple of times where things were lost in email translation and I had to provide a visual for clarity. I'm thinking if they would have had a virtual whiteboard or collab space some of this back and forth could have been avoided. The project status reports could have had more detail but they were sufficient.

All projects were delivered on time, in-budget, and per expectation.

Even though there was a time difference, they were easy to work with. They worked late hours to accommodate my schedule, often presenting deliverables for review and consideration in the early morning hours.

The workflow and communication were seamless, utilizing project management tools like Smartsheet and other tools such as email, Slack, and WhatsApp.

They were extremely clear about the work being performed, managed against a schedule, heard, and considered additional requests. They were excellent about managing expectation by not over committing or under-pricing projects.

If there was any improvement it would be for selfish reasons, I would have liked for them to have a Squarespace developer.
