What challenge were you trying to address with Aqualeaf IT Solutions Pvt Ltd?

Because we’re working in a really unique way, and not like other companies that get rates from other suppliers, we decided to build our own system. This system will feed all of our rates from all of our suppliers, so we can basically build a custom reservation system with the help of Aqualeaf.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We basically built a portal that has the frontend interface for the agents, and back-office support for the management. We connected the two APIs from suppliers like TripAdvisor and currency exchanges.

Afterwhich, we built the mechanism that takes all of our contracts and put them in the system so that agents can see it the same way. You can see everything down to the smallest detail like flight dates, and hotel types and features.

The project was only for two months. However, we really liked the results they delivered so the company decided to invest in them and the partnership has been ongoing ever since.

I deal with the two owners on the commercial side, and I also have a developer that’s working for me full-time. Sometimes when we do special projects like building landing pages, we use their designers to help us with our WordPress site. I can say that we deal with 3–4 people from that company.

I found them on the website, freelancer.com. I proposed the initial project for bidding to develop the system. After we posted the project, they put their bid on it and told me that they were already working on something that’s related to mine. They showed it to me, I liked it, and then I gave them a chance to work on my project.

Our ongoing partnership started in April 2018. This is the day I first communicated with them, which is also the day I hired them.

Basically, whenever there’s a new development, we check with our QA team to look for bugs and issues. If we find something, they’ll fix it right away. 

How did Aqualeaf IT Solutions Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

In terms of communications, they’re really good and they speak fluent English. They are always available to answer any questions, even in crazy hours and on the weekends. If I need something urgent, they’ll always be available on the phone and Skype.

And because it’s a full-time engagement, we don’t really have any time frames for deliveries. I’ll send them what they need to do and they’ll give it back to me after 2–3 days. We’ve never had the issue of waiting too long for something.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I worked with many IT companies and this system is the first experienced I’ve had with almost no bugs. It’s unbelievable and I’m shocked about it because I can’t get rid of the bugs from the previous companies I’ve worked with. However, with Aqualeaf, it’s almost nothing. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m really happy with them and I don’t have anything to say that they should improve on. They’re honestly one of the best companies I’ve worked with.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would say to be upfront with your budget, how much you’re willing to spend, and your time frame. No matter how long the project is, they will always commit to the agreed-upon price. If you have ongoing projects, like mine, you can always negotiate with them on a monthly basis.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The platform allows models to stream from their mobile device or laptop without any additional software, while customers can pay per minute for a chat with each model. In order for the platform to work as I envisioned, Aqualeaf IT Solutions Pvt Ltd developed a payment system that allows our customers to buy packages and tip our models.

They also built an earnings portal that displays how much the model has earned, which transactions they fulfilled, if they’ve earned a referral bonus, and request a payout.

We worked with a designated developer and a person I talked to about my requirements and what my options were.

I found them through a freelancer website and I chose them because they had the experience I needed, they were easy to talk to,  and they answered all of my questions.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They’ve fulfilled everything I’ve wanted. They’ve gone above and beyond to do things that I hadn’t thought about before. Some of their work was even better than what I designed.

Once they finished the project, I pointed out anything I didn’t like or didn’t work properly and they fixed it immediately. Just the other day, I asked them to change the same thing about three times and they were happy to accommodate my requests.

I can reach them at almost any time of day or night. They have long hours and are available on Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Due to the nature of our platform, problems normally arise late at night. If I report a problem quickly, they usually fix it before I wake up in the morning.

Nothing comes to mind at the moment.

List everything you want in detail. I noticed that I forgot a couple of things, and I wished I asked for them initially so they wouldn’t be an extra cost.

Product Configurator - Window Glazing Company

Project Overview
We are seeking to develop a product configurator for three key products: bifold doors, 20mm sliding doors, and 47mm sliding doors. This tool will allow users to customize these products by adjusting dimensions and adding features such as blinds and vents. The configurator will provide real-time visual updates and indicative pricing. The concept is inspired by the configurator on Tylko's website, specifically seen here.

The configurator should ideally be developed as a React application. However, we are open to suggestions if the development team believes another technology would be more suitable.
The codebase must be well-documented and annotated to facilitate future updates and maintenance.
A Git repository should be used for version control and collaboration.
