The health and safety dashboard is a web application that that displays up-to-date data visualizations related to health and safety incidents and hazards within a facility. The visualization’s inputs come from an uploaded database (ie. historical incident data) as well as user-entered form data (ie. ‘real-time’ data). The primary fields are Date, Incident Type or Hazard Type, and Location. As real-time data gets inputted through each form submission, the data visualizations automatically update.  At a glance, workers can see where incidents are happening in the facility. The dashboard shows a heatmap of incident-prone areas according to the number of incident types.

We have an operational draft of our product with an innovative user experience unlike any other app in the marketplace. We are unbelievably excited about the inventions created in collaboration with ZAPTA Technologies.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

At first the workflow was tricky because my team was inexperienced. However, we quickly figured out a flow switching instead of detailed notes on specific pages/designs to just screensharing live and seeing the changes in real-time. It's a FANTASTIC experience seeing real-time design changes. It's extremely efficient and is a demonstration of the Zapta's skillset.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team was ridiculously fun to work with. They were empathetic when I got covid and were flexible and patience with me juggling a newborn etc. We did so many screensharing sessions, they even gave me a tour of their office and I was able to meet the team face-to-face virtually. We really had fun while producing a show-stopper product.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I obviously wish they were in the United States to make our time zones overlap easier but their value proposition is simply unmatched.
