I wish there was an easy to access 'total hours spent' project tracker. They are adding that to their project tracker after I asked for it. :) Occasionally I felt like things went a little slower due to us not having a full time design resource, but it was cheaper, and we were slow on things on our end so it worked out.

I wanted a prototype on my phone earlier, but I didn't know I wanted it earlier until I had it, so not really Wolfpacks fault. :) Maybe in the future ask the client if they want a super rough prototype in a few weeks? but of course hindsight is 20/20

This includes front-end and back-end development, database management, and system integration.

• They successfully developed a fully functional QR code generating platform that, in my opinion, is visually appealing. Additionally, they carried out thorough testing and continue to provide valuable maintenance and support services.

Though no company is perfect and there's always room for improvement, the minor areas for growth were outweighed by their commitment to deliver results.

Our company helps connect insurance shoppers with insurance providers. I'm the CEO of the company.

For what projects/services did your company hire Wolfpack Digital, and what were your goals?

We built a prototype of our application on shared spreadsheets and had worked out most of the key processes that were needed, and we reached out to Wolfpack Digital to translate what we had built into a web application.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We knew we needed a development team that not only could meet our business process requirements, but also had the capacity to make a beautiful and intuitive UI and UX. I spoke with their team and met one of their developers, shared our business processes, and over a few meetings, I gained a confidence that this team could meet all of our requirements.

We used PostgresSQL, Vue.Js, and hosted on AWS. This was developed on a staging server and we were updated with each new release. Wolfpack Digital took and incorporated all of our feedback. They maintained a patience while many processes and interfaces required several rounds of development, feedback, development, feedback, etc.

I believe we had 4 developers at our peak. We also had a dedicated designer and project manager, which was very helpful.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our primary concern was that our development team would actually get the project across the finish line and launch. We have heard many stories where projects were abandoned midway through. If that happened to us, it would have been completely devastating.

I was assured at the outset that Wolfpack Digital would see this project through, no matter what. There were challenging and frustrating times for sure, which is probably true for all projects, and I am happy to report, that Woflpack never wavered in their commitment to me to make sure this project was completed.

Wolfpack Digital made use of video conferencing, design software that we could comment on, and access to the staging site so we could also do our own QA, (in addition to their QA team). We had sometimes 2 meetings a week. They were always on time and always had something to deliver.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They didn't give up, no matter how hard or frustrating the process was. They also really care about the quality of their work and they have a pride in their work that shines through.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think everyone wants their project done faster, and cheaper. But getting a functioning and well designed project is what really counts.

Novum Bank Limited was incorporated and licenced to operate as a credit institution. The bank licence provides a broad range of banking services. The bank has two lines of products, card/store value and micro-lending. I am the product owner for the credit cards project, being in charge of the development and delivery of the product.

We started the collaboration with Wolfpack Digital for the native mobile application on iOS and Android. The goals were to launch the MVP of the mobile app for the credit card product on Q II of 2022 and to continue with the development and release of the rest of functionalities.

We have done a market research to find out the best companies that offer mobile app development and we chose this vendor based on their past projects and their experience in finance products.

We had several meetings to discuss the scope of the project based on the requirements and wireframes provided by us. Wolfpack team started with the design and after it has been approved by the bank they continued with the app development which started with iOS and followed by Android.

There was a close collaboration between the mobile team and the backend team from Novum, including weekly meetings for discussion technical implementation and demo meeting. The MVP was launched according to the planning and the work continued for the rest of the functionalities as push notifications, device enrollment, analytics, etc.

A project manager has been assigned to our project who has coordinated everything (the scope of the project, the communication, etc) in a very efficient way. There was a designer who created all the screens and took care of the user experience. For the mobile app development we had worked at the beginning with two senior developers (one for iOS and one for Android) and after that other two junior developers have been also assigned. An account manager has been also assigned.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have launched the product and it is being used by our customers. The development is still ongoing for new functionalities which require a lot of work and a good collaboration between the teams.

The communication has been very effective, including weekly calls, direct conversations on Slack and emails. The Wolfpack team was really involved in achieving the goals and provided all the necessary technical support. In all the timelines have been reached and everything that has been requested was delivered.

They have understood the project needs very fast and always came with the best solutions. Also the management is very good.

Everything went very well.

I’m the COO and CTO of Equality AI, a SaaS startup focusing on machine learning development tools for healthcare scientists.

We wanted a full stack development team to help us with custom software development based in Microsoft Azure.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Wolfpack Digital is helping us build a web and cloud-based application for machine learning development. Their team will also provide support for the platform, which will eventually phase out.

Regarding functionalities, the platform offers a cloud-based development environment to import data sets and use that to train models using machine learning techniques and philosophies. It also allows developers to collaborate with other teams that have been or want to be involved in the system's decision-making process.

We’ve been working with 4–5 members of their team, depending on the project’s status. These members from Wolfpack Digital include Dana (Product Owner), a scrum team, and developers.

I found them through a TechCrunch article and chose them due to their solid UI/UX development team and their background in machine learning and big data.

How much have you invested in them?

So far, we’ve spent around $300,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their flexibility has been a huge factor in getting us where we are — we’re about to have an MVP to launch that looks beautiful! The product is very visually pleasing. Moreover, they’ve put together a robust platform in terms of technology. They’ll deliver something user-friendly with the main things we’re looking for.

How did Wolfpack Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Wolfpack Digital’s team is great at providing spot-on estimates regarding budget and reasonable timelines. Regarding tools and communication, we use Jira, Azure DevOps Server, Slack, and Google Meet. In addition, they’re swift in applying changes or creative solutions — Dana stays on top of everything and ensures that communication is efficient so they can meet our expectations. They have a high-level organization that works well with both teams.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team has an excellent agile approach and a Scrum process that allows them to complete sprints quickly and in an organized manner. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had hiccups along the way because we’ve been working with them through a new approach that their team was not used to. Still, as we went along, we found a way to get around this problem.

I am the CTO of a medtech start-up based in Copenhagen

We needed to develop an Android app to work with our medical hardware that would need to be CE IIa certified. Another goal of the project was to be able to easily take over the code and development in-house.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected this vendor based on their past track-record of succesful projects in health-tech as well as good reputation for culture and work standards.

We had a couple of discovery workshops in the first weeks, using Miro, after which we proceeded with more detailed requirements for the mobile app (as was necessary for meeting our regulatory needs for medical certification). This lead to a better understanding and refinement of the project scope. After this step, a roadmap was developed, and work started in sprints, with periodic builds being delivered to us, as well as weekly discussions on the project scope and technical implementation.

I interacted with a project manager and the two developers most of the time. There was also an account manager available every time i needed it (not that often).

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Development is still ongoing, but we now have a stable production ready first version of our app, developed according IEC62304, as well as being in a very good position for taking over the codebase.

The project manager was very professional as well as really easy to communicate with. I saw a lot of involvement in achieving the goals of the project, and speed in tending to urgent matters. There was a lot of direct communication (in calls), and, especially important to us, good communication with their technical team. I felt like the project was managed in a quite predictable manner, and they lived up to their estimates and timelines. Basically, they delivered the right thing when they said they would.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their management and communication are impressive, as well as their maturity in technical decision-making.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In person product and technical discovery workshops would probably have sped the first phase up

In this project I play the role of the technical lead, and the company I am working for is a South African tech-health company who uses AI, technology, and efficient human processed to democratize ultrasound medical investigation.

One of the things we like most is their management style. Working with their delivery manager is absolutely amazing. Yes, they use Jira and all the bells, but the communication skills and their predictability is what makes the collaboration so enjoyable.

There are several things we really like about the WolfPack team. I would mention their culture. They really look like a team. I had the opportunity to visit them at their office in Cluj, and the whole working environment and their internal team relations blew my mind.

I have been a general contractor for a long time and I had an idea for a software tool I wanted to build to help my business, and possibly release more widely for other GC's to use. My goal was to develop an MVP proof of concept and try it out

When I initially contacted WOlfpack it was because I had read an interview the CEO did and I liked her perspective on tech development. When I reached out I was impressed with the individualized attention my project got, and the time the CTO took to understand what I was trying to do and model it up. I have never worked with a develpment agency before, but I did not expect the level of service that Wolfpack provided, and that made me decide to move forward with the project.

Fisrt we mind mapped the idea from begining to end, then wireframed it and designed it. Once it was where we wanted it we made User test that I can send out to my network to get feedback on the product.

When I had comments or feedback the project manager would make sure they were heard and addresed. There was also a client owner who made sure I was satisfyied with the process at all times. I am CTO of JAMM technology. Our company focused on offering competitive insurance premiums for safe driving underpinned via technology.

We hired Wolfpack to build our consumer facing mobile app and insurance dashboard for analytics. We had the goal of offering customers a seamless insurance experience based on gameification: the safer you drive the cheaper your car insurance. Wolfpack build multiple features like onboarding the customer for insurance, displaying trips with stats / user profile, and gameified challenges.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked for an effective team at the right price point.

There were multiple iterations of design, technology scoping, and feature building. All organized in bi-weekly sprints. Key deliverables included introduction to jam flow, customer onboarding flow, trips stats and display flow, and gameification of driving flow. Technology stack was native iOS, Android, Swift, Kotlin with rust.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had a very lovely project manager who was excellent at clarifying objectives and organizing a team of 1 designer, 2 backend engineers, 1 frontend engineer. There was also managerial team of a CTO for budget setting and customer excellence team member.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Months after the app was launched we gained our first initial 35 / 100 beta driver customers who spend on average $1,000 per policy sold. This would not have been possible with out the app.

The project manager was available in email, whatsapp, and slack (integrated in). Great communication and availability. No communication issues while building the app.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive quality was the technical execution and friendliness of the teams we worked with. I was impressed with how they set and delivered to expectations.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It would be nice to forecast in advance if a project would run over budget and by how much.

I’m the head of product at Primary Diagnostics. We’re a digital health platform for tracking, testing, and immunization.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Wolfpack Digital?

We were trying to launch our first consumer mobile app. The engagement was a detailed view of what we wanted to do with the consumer app. Wolfpack proposed a couple of changes based on their knowledge of Android and OS development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built the app using React Native for Android and iOS. They were building a standard Android app and a standard iOS app with some web views baked in that we wanted for our backend.

The purpose of the app was to create a user management system for people who wanted to record their test results and vaccination status over the course of weeks and months. It’s a simple interface for people to log new tests or view their results.

What is the team composition?

They assigned a project manager that we mostly worked with, and then there was an Android engineer, an iOS engineer, and a designer. It was a pretty slim team.

How did you come to work with Wolfpack Digital?

We found them through a Google search. After sending them a slide deck of our initial scope, they called us back and we hammered out a contract with a few estimates.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent from around $20,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since January 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They delivered the full product to us by their initially stated deadline of April. 95%-100% of the time, they hit the scope and the timelines we agreed to. That’s the biggest success metric. We’re in the beta phase right now with a small group of testers.

If there are any bugs or crashes, they’re fixed within one business day of us submitting the feedback. They also let us know if they see any frontend issues.

How did Wolfpack Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

We met once a week to align on requirements and then handled everything else asynchronously. Slack helped with communication, as did Figma.

Communication is a bit harder than normal, as we’re in different time zones, but they’re very prompt in following up. They do all the project management internally, so we don’t handle any of it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re super flexible and have molded to our work, rather than trying to force us into some sort of template.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Early on, when we were proposing doing a lot of things on Slack, they were worried that we wouldn’t have enough audit trails for when things got approved or they didn’t. Once we got into a rhythm, however, they responded to everything over Slack.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They have a lot of talented people on the team, so sometimes ask them to redesign what you have, rather than simply implementing what you provide them with. Those are two very different types of projects and can lead to very different outcomes.
