Our Website was developed a while ago. It was not patient facing, UX was difficult, lacked clear organization, and was not very mobile friendly. Not being mobile friendly was huge problem since over 65% of our visits to our site come from mobile devices The old website was also only in one language and did not meet ADA compliance.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed several large companies. Many lock you into a Long term contract so that the cost upfront is low, but they give you a templated website and you do not own it in long run. Web FX creates a site on WordPress and that gives us much more flexibility and ability to make quick changes. In addition they are able to create content to sync up with our Adwords campaigns.

I was assigned a project manager and after several discovery calls we had a plan in place. The rest was easy. Selecting style, look and feel and then we moved on to content. I was given a staging site that has a tool in place for any comments or edit recommendations. The process has been extremely organized and I have been kept informed during every step of the process. Web FX has made me look great in front of my leadership team.

They had a entre design team in place in addition to my project manager and my day to day Marketing Manager. I honestly could not ask for a better team. Very professional, knowledgeable and patient (this was the first time I was handling a project like this!)

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Once my staging site was built, I got feedback from several people that were not employees. I let them navigate on desktop and mobile and they had great feedback. All was positive. I also asked key employees and the best feedback was "now that I see the new site, I see how bad our old site really was!"

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

My project manager was and Marketing expert form WebFX were amazing! My heroes! Very organized, amazing with communicating and I could always turn to an updated dashboard as well. Any delays form original launch date were on my end not theirs.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their wealth of knowledge in this space was impressive. Recommendations on content aligning with my SEO all made absolute sense!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Web FX has highly trained employees so I see very little room for improvement

WebFX provided several new design layout options, and adjusted them after receiving feedback from our senior team. Once approved, WebFX handled the migration of all our content from the old site to the new, along with some additional edits along the way.

We are currently in a monthly maintenance contract with WebFX that provides assistance on our website when something is beyond our skill set, in addition to SEO support and any additional requests that may pop up.

How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?

We have a fantastic relationship with WebFX and our project management lead, Amanda. I try to make as many edits to the site as possible on my own. If I come across something I can’t do on my own, Amanda is always there to help me problem solve (or to take care of it if we are in a hurry). Amanda is also a great sounding board when I need to think through something outloud.

How did WebFX address the challenges that arose?

Seamlessly. We had a lot of content. Some which was critical to the new site and some we needed to purge. If anything feel into the wrong category, WebFX was quick to troubleshoot and get us back on track.

Everyone is happy with the new site, from senior leads to the employees. It’s updated, it’s current, it’s fresh. With each relaunch we want to make the online experience better for our customers. WebFX helps us make that happen.

Communication with the other WebFX teams members and then back to us was great. The online editing portal made it super easy and no one even noticed the time difference.

Trust WebFX. And if you have questions, they will take the time to explain everything, in a way everyone can understand.

The website’s redesign took place from July–November 2016, but we have an ongoing service agreement with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our owners were very pleased with the upgrades. They loved the way it looks. Further, we believe the new site casts us in a more professional light. When customers would visit our old site, they saw how outdated it was, and that reflected poorly on us. We are much more of a legitimate entity now.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

WebFX always respected our sense of urgency with making quick changes and completing this project. Since the launch, I still attend WordPress meetups and call Amanda afterward talking about features I’d like to implement. She has always been willing to facilitate those updates.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Amanda has taken the time to help me learn how to manage the site on my own, which I have appreciated, but there are still times when I require outside assistance. In those cases, the WebFX team is always helpful.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. We’ve had excellent communication at all times. We’ve been quite happy.

It’s OK to not know exactly what you want. WebFX is well-equipped to help you navigate what is appropriate for your business.

We have seen 100% or better gains over a period of two years! And we couldn't be happier!

A team is very happy with the outcome, both management and at the employee level. With each revision we do, we look to make the online experience easier and easier for our customers.

Most all of our comments or concerns were handled in the editing portal. There were some occasions where I needed to talk through an idea or an issue outloud. In those cases, Amanda was always available to contact directly and help me walk through what I was trying to get at.

The editing portal option was fantastic. I also loved when an WebFx employee came back with a comment. Hey - you're asking for this. That's a great idea. Or hey - your asking for this, have you ever thought if doing it this other way. Their feedback was immensely helpful.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We were tight on some deadlines which in the end made the project run on schedule, but it was hard meeting some of the deadlines when trying to complete other work on my plate.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebFX did SEO for us. It has been a well-guided experience from onboarding to execution; they’re prompt and friendly with messaging and provide detailed summaries and breakdowns for every task we manage together. Also, they supply links and articles in addition to their expertise whenever we have questions on the process.

They also handle our backend coding, work on written articles and optimize them for keyword research, and publish them once they pass our QA.

We’ve only been working with an account manager from their team, but there are people behind the scenes on copywriting and troubleshooting.

We found them through a Google search, and we chose them because they had a personable touch, and I felt like there was real human contact with them, rather than just a bunch of PowerPoint presentations.

Our web traffic doubled in the first six months of our engagement, and we’re delighted with that.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management has been thorough, organized, and friendly.

Also, they have their marketing platform, which offers more in-depth insight than Google Analytics, and it allows us to tweak and retarget our campaigns effectively. In addition to that, the platform can also build out UTM parameters. In terms of communication, we’ve used emails and monthly phone calls, which is useful for us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their personable approach has been outstanding for us; they’ve been able to flow with us as we gain data. Overall they’ve been super friendly with us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their marketing platform is very robust, and I don’t have enough time to get acquainted with it and its updates. Having a little more attention to onboarding clients to their platform would help.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be as creative as you can with your time with them; they have a wealth of knowledge that most people don’t have, so try to keep open communication lines with them.

We’d started recently and hadn’t laid a foundation for organic SEO work. We were trying to get a baseline for Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and some original blog content for our site.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebFX has helped us track where our money goes and where our leads come from. They have a platform called MarketingCloudFX, which allows us to see everything they do. It shows all our leads, how they came through our website, what form they filled out, and even some competitor information. Also, they’ve added content to our site and helped us with our organic SEO.

We initially had 3–4 introduction calls with the company’s president and sales manager. We brought in many different people to hear our main needs so they could get an idea of what we were looking for and the direction we’d go in. WebFX came back and made sure it was what we wanted before they wrote the content. Then, we went over keywords. We started with about 150, and they researched on their end and presented them to us.

We have one leading account manager, and six people are under them. Also, we have someone that helps us with their marketing cloud, which is a dashboard to show us how it works.

I worked with them at my previous job, so I already knew their work. When I got this new job, I immediately called them and set up an introduction call. I had to discuss it with my boss, but he was delighted with what they presented and could do for us. We signed with them as one of the first things I did on this job.

They’re amazing. We communicate through email, but we’ve also had a lot of kick-off calls. Currently, they’re teaching us how to use the MarketingCloudFX, and we have a monthly call. Our account manager is quick to jump on a call if we have any issues. Overall, they’re great to work with; we’ve never had a problem.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The way they report and communicate is outstanding. One of the main things my boss wanted to see was where our money goes. People can spend a lot of money on SEO with digital companies, but it’s hard to see a return on that. However, it’s easy with WebFX. They show us exactly where they put their value and where it’s coming from with our leads, which is extremely important for us. Moreover, they’re quick to help us if we have a question or concern.

I can’t think of anything at the moment.

Be responsive. When they email asking questions, get back to them as quickly as possible. It helps to move the process along. They work efficiently, so they have to wait for the client many times. If you can communicate with them, it’s easy to keep the process going.

Since working with WebFX we've seen a steady increase in our organic website traffic, this has lead to more leads from asset downloads in our CTAs and LiveChat conversations.

They communicate almost entirely through their own tool, Teamwork FX, but this is very easy to use & helps keeps every part of the project organized even after multiple back&forth conversations. Amy, our account rep, was very quick to respond. If they don't know an answer off the top of their head, they'd consult their team and immediately get back to us. It's been very helpful.

Overall level of professionalism & completeness is the work they do

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It would've been great it we could've had a dedicated copy writer that we could work with continuously, someone who was dedicated to really diving into our world of automation to make sure what they were writing was valid & not just marketing fluff.
