We meet monthly with Victorious to stay on top of our SEO rankings and how we can improve. They offer various methods from SEO specific optimization techniques, to more general analysis of our website's technical performance or EEAT rankings with new Google algorithms. 

We have seen increase in our organic search traffic, especially on identified keywords as well as optimized pages. In addition, we've seen more awareness and education in our team on SEO best practices and how to move forward in a changing digital landscape.

Kelsey is the absolute best project manager. Always willing to lean in, answer questions as we have them and change directions if deliverables don't land quite right. We were looking for an SEO service provider. Our goal was to improve our company's Google search since we hadn't had a marketing team for a year prior. We were very down in search results and wanted to boost our ranking.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Victorious provided SEO services for our company and was responsible for keyword research. We gave Victorious six pages we wanted to boost our Google rankings. After launching our new site, Victorious conducted an SEO audit. The team also offered blog writing services.

We worked with a sales representative, who then moved us to Anthony (Customer Success Manager), who became our go-to guy for all questions. We also worked with an IT specialist and three other teammates who worked on blogs and keyword research.

We found Victorious through a Google search while looking for SEO companies. We emailed them, and a sales representative got back to us. We had 2–3 meetings with him, the marketing team, and the CEO.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

After implementing Victorious' SEO strategies, we saw the results they promised. We redesigned our site while implementing the audits and SEO keywords the team provided, so within two months of launching our site in August 2023, our numbers spiked. Our website visibility and web traffic doubled.

How did Victorious perform from a project management standpoint?

Victorious delivered work on time and on budget. We used Asana for project management and communicated well via Zoom and Google Meet. The team was upfront and honest.

I want to shout out Anthony. He was fantastic to work with and had a plethora of knowledge. He was patient when we were behind and stayed on top of work to ensure tasks were completed. He showcased integrity and always had an answer to our CEO's questions.

Victorious' specialty was helping customers improve their organic Google search results. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Victorious could improve in blog writing. We requested client-based blogs instead of candidate-based blogs, and I know they had to base the content on specific keywords. However, if they could shift how they write blogs, it would be helpful. I don't blame Victorious since we had specific requests, but our biggest struggle in this project was blog writing.  

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I suggest performing the audit changes presented by Victorious. When we launched our new site, the team identified things we brought over from our previous site that needed changing. Victorious pointed out things that slowed our site, like photos and videos, and every time we changed those things, our site's speed changed significantly. Overall, Victorious' SEO audits improved our website.

Their personal and specific attention to detail to my business. Their people are their greatest resource as they are personal and yet focused; friendly but to the point; fun but knowledgeable.

My only thing I would add is that since they are an SEO company and this touches other aspects of services they dont offer like web development, google analytics, etc... they should just offer or maybe contract out to third parties for other services that are hard to understand for people like me. However even here they have helped and pointed me to some web developers to speed up the processes.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our team aims to improve our organic clicks, impressions, traffic, users, and conversions. On top of that, we want to rank for new keywords and grow our audience. Victorious offers various services, and we primarily use them for SEO strategies and research.

Generally, they help us identify core search terms to target. Once they identified those targets, they tell us the best path forward and show us strategies to go with it. Moreover, they tell us what pages to rewrite or fix and what new content to create to rank for keywords and compete with our competitors’ keywords. 

Since I’m a one-man team, I sometimes can’t do what they’re suggesting. In that case, they have services where they help us do the work. For instance, they can do content generation. If they tell us to optimize a page and rewrite portions of it, I can ask them to do that for me and send their recommendations to us. Then, we can incorporate their suggestions into our strategies based on what we can and cannot change.

What is the team composition?

I mainly talk to Nick (Customer Success Manager), and we have meetings about our campaign performance and what we want to do next. Then, he talks to his team and relays what I need. They work through the tasks and give them back to Nick, who returns to me with my requirements. I don’t interface at all with the strategy team.

How did you come to work with Victorious?

Our company was already working with Victorious when I joined it, so I took over the partnership. I believe we found them through a word-of-mouth referral. We knew a company that worked with them, and that company suggested their services. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Victorious in November 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Since November 2021, our organic keywords have grown by 71%. Our top keywords on Google search results have grown by 4%, which is a huge increase. On top of that, our organic traffic has risen by 32%, which is sizable. 

Overall, Victorious has met our expectations. They’ve built a whole new SEO strategy for us while maintaining growth  — being able to do that has been great for us. Right now, I’m looking forward to the future with them. 

We’ve had satisfactory results last year, and we’ve renewed our contract with them. This year, we’re making good headway, and I’m excited to see where we go in the next calendar year. I have big plans, and they’ve been a great partner in helping me turn those plans into reality. 

How did Victorious perform from a project management standpoint?

Having one main point of contact makes my life truly easy. I don’t have the time to interface with an entire team of people. I just need one person to talk to, and that’s Nick — he’s incredibly knowledgeable and absolutely fantastic at his job. I love working with him because he makes it easy for me to get what I want and understand what I’m receiving from their team.

Meanwhile, we use Asana to manage the engagement. Nick does everything for me. We also use Google Documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and similar things. For communication, we use Google Meet and emails, and they’re truly responsive.

Their knowledge base and strategies are great. Victorious delivers solid results, and they communicate clearly. For comparison, the other SEO agencies I’ve worked with previously didn’t seem to know what they were doing. They were simply saying things. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. They’ve been fantastic, and I don’t have anything to criticize at the moment. That’s because they’re open to constructive criticism, which I truly appreciate. 

For example, there was a month when we trended downward, and I didn’t know about it until we reviewed our report. I told them I’d appreciate it if they reached out to me before our meeting if they noticed a dip in our performance. They could send me an email to figure out how we could course correct. They were receptive to that feedback. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Victorious has many services, and they’re flexible. Given that, be upfront about what you want. Be clear about your goals, and don’t be afraid to ask them for a bit of extra work — they’ve always gone above and beyond for me.
