Upcall provides us with a call center service. When a potential customer fills out a lead form, Upcall calls them within five minutes to attempt to get a meeting on the calendar. The team handles all the follow-up calls.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Upcall has successfully booked meetings on my calendar. Moreover, 75% of the calls they make to leads end up with them booking a time on my calendar. Of those meetings, roughly 10% of them result in paid customers.

How did Upcall perform from a project management standpoint?

Upcall’s project management is great. They have high communication and always meet deadlines. We communicate via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

Upcall is very responsive and follows through with everything exactly as they say they will.

They could provide better HubSpot integration.

We needed help engaging leads and setting up meetings with them. We also needed help getting our customers to turn on a new feature.

Upcall has worked on two main projects. First, they’ve reached out to about 1,000 leads and helped us schedule over 30 meetings. Second, they’ve called about 700 customers to turn on a new feature. Upcall provides a weekly summary of their outreach efforts.

We found them through an online search and ChatGPT. We chose them over other options because they had high ratings, good value for the cost, and were backed by Y Combinator. We also liked that they had an integration with HubSpot.

We started working with them in July 2025, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Upcall has scheduled meetings with about 5% of our leads and gotten about 11% of our customers to turn on the new feature. These results are in line with our expectations.

How did Upcall perform from a project management standpoint?

Upcall is extremely timely and responsive. We communicate via email and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with the quickness with which Upcall can start a project and their success rate.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Some customers have reached out to us thinking that Upcall’s callers are spammers. We don’t know if there’s a way to avoid that, but we definitely don’t want to overuse Upcall and have people in the industry think our company is a spammer. Additionally, the integration with HubSpot hasn’t been as easy as we hoped.

Upcall responded almost immediately to every request.  Upcall delivered the first in-person appointment within a couple of hours of receiving a list of prospects from me.

The results are impressive.  I can hardly keep up with the number of appointments they have booked.  I am also impressed with how quickly they can call through a list.  I could have spent the rest of my life dialing the phone and I wouldn't have come anywhere near the number of calls they were able to place within days.

We expected an average cold call booking rate of around 3%-4% but they were nearly double that! They absolutely blew us away with their key deliverables.

UpCall was hired to make calls to cold leads and introduce our insurance products and offer a demonstration to businesses 10-500 employee size in the mid-Atlantic region. Our goals were to run a test campaign of UpCall's platform and connect with 2-4% of our lead list. Along with meeting our connection metrics, we were primarily interested in the platforms visibility and agent professionalism.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our test campaign is still under way but our success has already been achieved. UpCall has checked all our boxes. Complete visibility to each call, agent professionalism and sales metrics achieved. After 1000 calls they have scheduled 2 appointments and over 30 follow up leads.

Lisa is our PM. She is very responsive and quickly enacts suggested tweaks, I listened to our script and suggested a change. Within minutes the team was utilizing the new script. This is the way business should be conducted. Kudos to Lisa and UpCall for building a better service model.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Complete visibility of each call. I've hired their competitors and didn't have much success meeting our sales metrics. Without this key insight how can you make changes that impact success? I couldn't until now.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Upcall could have done differently?

Realizing the call agents are not specialist in every field we cannot expect them to know our industry as well as we do. This lack of experience can be a contributing factor for limited success. Additional attention to product knowledge training and commitment of understanding prior to launch may benefit new campaigns.
