We need to transfer our website from another CMS to Shopify. We wanted to provide the same design and experience as previously to users but including shop function embedded in the site. We want it done quickly and error free.

We selected SuperCo because of their extensive experience with Shopify. They had experience in Shopify 2.0. They could start straight away and had robust ways to manage the project.

We explained the project. Identified the pages and end site structure. Superco built designs out and we approved them. Superco then built the pages and we approved them. In a matter of 3-4 meetings the work was complete. We have tested it and it will go live next week.

3-6 team members worked on the project. Even though different people involved across Superco it was consistent communication and repetition was not needed.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our aim was to have the Shopify version of the website by mid-January and we have achieved that. Website launches next week, but we anticipate improved conversion in the shop.

Various software was used to support the project planning, design. But the tool we found the best and most interesting was Bubble which enabled fast and easy commenting on the website.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We appreciated their simple, straightforward workflow and consistent communication. No repetition needed. Did what they said they could do in the planned timing.

What challenge were you trying to address with SuperCo?

I needed someone to do my website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SuperCo worked on design and development. They did the website from scratch through Shopify and held my hand along the way. The team did the basics, graphics, and usual setup. After we went live, they were accommodating and offered me their support.

They initially created a mood board and put tons of ideas I was interested in using for the website. Then, they put it all together and started with website design. SuperCo gave me graphics, fonts, and all the imagery options. They ordered everything as I wanted, and then they added things that were out of my reach if I were to do them on my own.

What is the team composition?

We worked with about four people. I initially spoke to Tom (Co-Founder); we did the logistics together. After that, we worked with someone on the design elements. From there, Pablo (Product & Operations Manager) took care of everything. Once the design was done, he helped with more things — he was the one I contacted if I had any issues.

How did you come to work with SuperCo?

It was through a mutual friend. He worked with Tom and had great feedback about SuperCo. Since I was looking for a website developer and designer, he put me in touch with Tom. We had a Zoom call and went over everything.

I spent $2,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October–November 2021. However, I keep in touch with them. They’re more than happy to help if I need to make changes, so I’ll definitely engage them when I need updates.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It’s significantly impacted my business because I wouldn’t have been able to build a website without their help. However, they were also quick and efficient. I’d been told that this kind of work takes a long time, but they did everything in the timeframe I wanted. Overall, they got the job done and were approachable.

How did SuperCo perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed very well. I could email them without problem, and they’d get back to me quickly.

They offered a great experience.

I don’t know, to be honest. I don’t have much to critique; it was a simple project.

Reach out as much as possible if you have any questions. The more questions you ask, the more you understand, and everything becomes clearer. Also, define what you want — it makes their job easier.

We had an idea for research innovation in testing products on masse but in a contextually appropriate way. We wanted to build a custom e-commerce platform that connects with our panel to allow us to track their individual journeys through the store and then follow up with conditional-based logic question based on their purchase decisions.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

This is a pretty new-to-world research solution and therefore required a team with some vision and strong technical knowledge to help realise it. Having met with a handful of agencies and teams with differing backgrounds, we decided that SuperCo seemed a great fit for what we're after - an agency to partner with who understood the scope, and interrogated the brief and component parts required.

We needed a platform built on Shopify, but customised to reappropriate and remove some of the core features of the platform (ie. no payment gateways and user checkouts). The platform needed to work in multiple languages simultaneously, displaying different products per market, and different storefront variations so we could split test adverts and product priming. We also crucially needed to track each individual journey through the site, so the team also built a private shopify app, utilising webhooks and an AWS database to store all page interactions. Following the kick off call, the team built wireframes and user journey flows, then built and tested the private app, before moving onto the various iterations of the storefront. There was a timeline of 6 weeks to build and deliver this, from kick-off to the first go-live date.

We worked with 5-6 of the SuperCo team, with the lead developer Tom being our main point of contact.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

As this is a new-to-world research platform and methodology we don't yet have measurable outcomes, however it's a platform that the team have worked incredibly hard on, works fantastically, and we're really excited about the future possibilities that it will unlock for our agencies clients.

We had regular catch-ups along the way, with almost daily zoom calls, emails and whatsapp messages as we were approaching the launch and refining the functionality and store products

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Clearly very experienced with Shopify. More than anything, it's been the agility and enthusiasm of SuperCo that has been impressive. It's never easy taking on an "in to the fog" type project, but Tom and the team have shown extraordinary energy and willingness to pivot when challenges have arisen along the way (and there have been a few!)

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing to note really, the communication style is informal but that personally suits me, and really helps us work as a wider project team and as agency partners right off the bat.

SuperCo started by doing a detailed audit of the work previously carried out and were quick to see where the faults were and correct them. Our main point of contact where kicking off the project was Tom, co-founder. Once the project was underway we spoke to Emil who was the one working on the development. We felt at all times that we could get a quick and detailed response.

From our side, the project was delivered on time and in budget. This could have been a bad outcome for us as a previous agency had failed us before. Tom and his team were quick to jump on the project and save us from having an unhappy client with a site that didn't work. The outcome for the client is that she's seen a a large increase subscribes and engagement. More than she was expecting. The general feedback from her customers is very positive.

Efficient, personal and professional. We started most of our comms using email. SuperCo use the online portal where you can see open jobs, billings and project history. Very easy to navigate.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

SuperCo were impressive from the start. Their in-depth Shopify knowledge was very reassuring. The efficiency of which they picked up the pieces and solved the issues caused from the last agency was incredible.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

From start to finish we've been impressed with SuperCo and we'll be looking to use them again with our next web build. No areas for improvement at this stage.

We needed to revamp our website and improve our e-commerce piece with an emphasis on visitors taking action. We needed to maximize the SEO components and make it easier for our potential customers to engage and make buying decisions.

We had been looking around when I watched a webinar with the owner of a successful e-commerce brand. I reached out and asked him how he developed his website for the brand and he informed me his other company was a website design firm. We struck up a conversation and we ended up engaging SuperCo after speaking with several other firms.

We had an initial meeting and expressed some of the components from our current site we liked and wanted to keep and discussed how they might design and build around those components and how they could accomplish our other goals. They were on-time with all the deliverables and exceeded our expectations with the work product delivered. We are pretty green in this space so we needed a trustworthy source who could walk us through some of the more intricate parts of our product. We were also moving to the Shopify platform and we had no experience with Shopify. They made the transition manageable.

We had direct interaction with four or five of their team members. All were sharp, reliable, punctual and gifted at what they do. We worked with two of the Founders, a project manager and a developer/tech guy.

We were changing our platform and we ran out of product while in the development of our site which should have caused more problems but it didn't thanks to SuperCo's expertise. We have done some testing of our new site as far as the look and maneuverability of our site and the aesthetics and the feedback has been outstanding.

They are laid back guys with confidence that comes from expertise. They communicated well, primarily via phone, email and Zoom. They made great suggestions but were never heavy handed. We got what we wanted, not what they thought we should have.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They produced a site that will help us be successful and they had the creative ability to utilize what we wanted to keep and fold it into their vision for the site. They understood how to to make our site more inviting to the visitor and presented our highly technical and scientific material and presented it in the best way possible.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not live in London as that created a small window with which to meet and have calls. I would have appreciated it if they had had the ability to get some of the photos done vs us having to arrange for them.

First, we explained what we wanted. SuperCo showed us competitor’s sites and different options, and they made changes based on our feedback and created a new Shopify site for us.

The site has an inquire button with custom forms for clients, and we can respond via email. There’s an about page, testimonials page, and visually strong product pages.

We were pleased with their consistency and ability to handle add-ons without pushing our deadline. On the other hand, while it’s too early for metrics, we’ve had excellent external brand support and marketing support feedback.

They did a great job. They responded to feedback, were transparent throughout the process, and kept us updated on progress. SuperCo met our deadlines, and they were responsive and available, even on weekends.

Unfortunately we had bad luck with 3 previous developers who could not deliver this project then Superco came to the rescue and overdelivered at every step. A welcome saviour.

Response and execution time and detail and accuracy of work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Sometimes, they are unable to provide a quote because the task requires scoping. While I understand that it isn't always possible to give an exact quote, it would be great to always be given a more clear idea of how long something will take to be scoped out / completed.
