They were to deliver a whole website and mobile website, ios and android apps and tablet apps. They never finished anything. We used python backend, IOS was Swift/Xcode, Android is Kotlin and Tablet apps are React Native

The CEO, CFO, Project Manager as well as their head person for tablet and head person for Mobile App and QA contact.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Deadlines & Late Penalties Agreed Upon Mean Nothing – I had very strict timelines and penalties for being late. They never once met a deadline and they never accepted the penalties that they agreed to in writing. This happened 3 times to me where they reneged on the penalties and they were YEARS late and never finished!

STAY AWAY. This is a very unprofessional company. Although they claim to be a CMMI Level 5 company, I highly doubt that claim because they are probably the worst run software development company I have ever dealt with. And most of all, they won’t finish your projects and leave you high and dry. Here are my experiences for two projects I had with them:

1. Low End Developers and Project Managers & Management - They have very LOW END Developers whose English is abysmal. They cannot understand sophisticated algorithms or concepts and have a very hard time understanding basic concepts so they require a ton of hand holding and still get things wrong 3 and 4 times in a row. The project managers were not detail oriented and they never understood USA standards in my opinion and they tried fooling me many times into changing sprint tasks all the time and then removing tasks from previously agreed upon sprints to lessen their workload and demand payment. They told me always that things were “working” good enough even when they were broken. Their standards for what works is not per USA Standards in my opinion.
2. No QA – They claim to charge 20% more for QA but then they don’t do any real QA. They rely on me to do all the QA. For most sprints 80% of things never worked properly and then it was a big fight with them every time to fix things and because it took them 3 and 4 times to fix things properly, they kept fighting and basically asking me to deal with stuff that didn’t work. They always told me they would fix in the next sprint but then never would actually fix anything. All despite our contract stating that all fixes had to be done first before working on the next sprint.
3. Contractual Terms Were Meaningless - The contract I signed with them was very precise yet they never held to the contractual terms. They always kept trying to extract more money from me at every turn. When they had bugs to fix in a sprint every time they refused to finish the sprint and kept demanding payment without finishing and if you didn’t pay, they would hold you hostage by just not doing anything.
4. Sprint Task Deliverables Didn’t Work – Repeatedly about 60-70% of the sprint deliverables they would not even work on and tell me they completed it! Instantly they would send an invoice and they got upset every time I told them how bad their deliverables were.
5. CEO and CTO are unsophisticated – The CEO is Rupinder and CTO is Ganesh. Both are very unsophisticated business people as they refused to sign contract addendums. They said their legal team prevented it. That makes no sense. The CEO is a person in my perspective who is highly sensitive and if anything happens, he cannot even think about work. It took him 2 months just to setup a call and demo with me. No development happened the whole time. Everytime a family member of his had a sickness, he stopped working. The CO and CTO both were not sophisticated enough to read our contract and adhere to the terms.
6. Horrible Communication - Ganesh and RP and the PM’s are so childish that they all stopped communicating with me. They are like a cult and they don’t care about customers at all. The CEO buys these guys cars as a thank you so he gets their loyalty and they do whatever he says so if they say not to correspond with the customer, nobody will.
7. No Talent – Because of the pandemic, their developers have left them in droves because they can get hired by someone in another country for double or triple their salary and work from home. So they have really almost no developers there to work on projects and a result all their projects are suffering tremendously. This is another reason why they will just move your devs to another project where they can bully customers into paying them or else lose the developers. Seasia Infotech is the reason why Indian Software development companies are considered horrible. They have all the worst things you could ever have in a development company. A company with a great idea will never get their projects off the ground with them. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!!!!

There is so much improvement. There is nothing that I can say will fix this comapny. The CEO has poor standards and does not communicate properly at all and it all flows top-down. He comes off nice but when it comes to getting his help he does NOTHING.

He is totally hands-off. So all the bad development issues flow to Ganesh the CTO and he is not smart in my opinion, does not appear educated, he does not care about agreements or signed contracts he signed. And everyone is below like Project Managers are not sophisticated at all and there are zero repercussionw for missing deadlines and timelines.

WikiReviews and Serendipity are two projects which Mr. Sunil Wagle claims to be owning and both have been developed in bits and pieces by different IT companies. Any CR-related discussion takes ages with him as he always expects that if the contract is signed for A, B, and C points, D & E are also to be covered as those are logical as per his assumption.

In our case after a few milestones of work (approved, delivered and payments received), he asked us to deliver the codebase, database, etc. Along with that he also asked to create detailed documentation for the codebase. We delivered the codebase, database, documentation, and any other information he asked for. Once he received that, he puts a refund request for the payments made on already delivered milestones. After so many months of our efforts and hard-earned money, anything like this seriously looks like a fraud to us. Even after receiving all codebase and deliveries, he is now trying to get the money back maliciously. We got to know that he has done the same thing to other companies also in the past and now again looking for new ones to play the same game.

Two teams, of 24 frogs each, compete to maintain a presence on Turtle Island. Played on a grid of 64 lily pads, It is as simple to learn and play as checkers, yet has the strategy of chess. Like chess, the central part of the lily pad field (Turtle Island) is critical. Also like chess, the match can be won at any time with clever strategy.

Like checkers, it is important to conserve your frogs - especially those on or near Turtle Island! While going through the company profile, we could see that Seasia has a considerable number of years of experience in game development with various interesting game projects within their portfolio. After initial discussions with the Seasia team, we were convinced that they would be able to deliver as we were expecting.

Describe the project in detail.

Our app is destined to be a classic strategy app based on the old board game, King’s Court. It's a cross between chess and checkers. It is simple to learn, like checkers, but requires the skill of chess to master. It is a two-player gaming application in which two teams of 24 frogs each compete on a grid of 64 lily pads. There are 16 lily pads in the center of the game board forming a 4 X 4 grid that is called “Turtle Island”. The island is surrounded by 48 lily pads, creating an 8 X 8 grid of lily pads. The two frog teams compete for domination of Turtle Island. Whichever team jumps all of the other team’s frogs on the island first wins the game. You do not need to take all your opponents frogs on the board outside of Turtle Island to win, just the opponents frogs within Turtle Island. Seasia created this game in Unity3d game engine, using Aapwarp for login and multiplayer services.

What was the team composition?

Team comprises of Three Unity3d developers, one Business Analyst, one Project Manager and two Quality Assurance resources.

There are so many positive impacts which we can currently envisage, our business can witness after the full-fledged launch of the Frog Fun game app in the iOS and Android app stores. In fact we are already in discussion with the Seasia team for launch of the game in India.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The whole project management process was very systematic; they made sure we were completely aware of every phase and process being carried out by their team. There was clear and focused transparency on both ends, and this approach, as a whole, came up as a great experience to us.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

There are so many things which I have personally found so good about Seasia. Be it the time responsiveness, effectiveness, the way they carry out their project, and the enthusiasm they have for their job; everything was impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement?

To this date, there are no specific areas of improvement for our project, but yes, we have given them a few suggestions on the addition of certain things, and they deliberately worked on it! One of those suggestions was that the Seasia Team provide more feedback regarding other or better ways to solve an issue within the user interface. As a project manager, I’ve really enjoyed the fact that Seasia is amazing at implementing all my suggestions. However, I would have been happy to consider some alternate suggestions for what I was requesting. After working in Silicon Valley in California for many years, I am used to spirited debates on how to solve UI issues.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

The project was the development of an e-commerce engine that could become the backbone of multiple e-commerce platforms. We can now use this engine to develop fully fledged e-commerce applications.

What was the team composition?

Seasia Infotech analyzed our business needs and provided a team of experienced resources. The company assigned a steadfast project manager that handled the processes associated with our project. Apart from this, dedicated frontend and backend developers were deployed as well.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We’re currently doing internal testing and verification on the engine across multiple platforms. The results have been more than satisfactory. We were pleasantly surprised to see such an outcome with our budget.

We always had very transparent communication regarding the progress of the project. The entire development team and allocated manager coordinated with us like a single team. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The best part about Seasia is that they engaged their rich domain expertise from day one. It provided us with a different point of view and identified improvement areas in our business idea. We’ve seen companies that only will do what is requested without putting their brains to it and not deliver a value-add.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We’re doing great in the international markets, and, from this association, I don’t see any improvements areas. However, I will be using them further and will communicate if there are any improvement areas.
