We had some discover meetings in the beginning to understand the project scope and what were our goals since we were asking for a POC and not for an entire project. The Rushkar team was amazing. The project was competed in about six weeks and our goals achieved. As an output, we got a report containing the tech stack that could be applied to our project and some performance indicators.

To build these APIs, they used Django and Python development frameworks, database optimization techniques, outdated, inadequately documented code, and flimsy PRDs. After that, they developed more APIs on FastAPI, our other API platform, and performed admirably there as well. We also developed a contribution gateway for a customer; all it required was one of their devs to complete the entire specification and make sure Heroku was properly used for hosting.

Rushkar has also created channels where you can view different brands, athletes, and industries in real-time. Posting functionalities include photos, videos, and VR posts. Users can add text and filters to their posts as well.

The UI/UX they’re developing is beautiful. It’s a very high-level application, and it looks great — not like one of those crappy apps that’s old and outdated. It looks modern.

I work with them every night during the week, and they join me on Pacific Standard Time to talk about the project. At the beginning of each week, we come up with a list of priorities to address. I do the UX work myself and send those designs to them to work through and then we come back to discuss them at night. All communication happens through Upwork.

Their communication and ability to deliver stand out the most. I’m picky with my vision, and they understand it when I tell it to them. I can also always get a hold of them, too, including the developers. Other vendors won’t respond or be available for a week or two, and then you’ll lose any momentum you had. Rushkar isn’t like that.

We worked in mixed teams, working remote, and not having the possibility to meet face to face the other team members, they managed to be part of the team very fast. Rushkar work hard to meet our strict deadlines and are responsive. They also adapted to our agile way of working. They were part together with us of the daily sessions, planing/refinements/retrospective and demos (all virtual).

What was the scope of their involvement?

Rushkar Technology LLP provided mobile app development services. They created my application from scratch based on the ideas I gave them. They implemented various functionalities in the app, including an OTP feature, a chat feature, and voice calling. Additionally, their team worked on the UI/UX design — I wanted the interface and graphics to be user-friendly. Their team also developed both the iOS and Android versions of the app and created a landing page for us. Key technologies used included Swift and Kotlin.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 7–10 people from their side, including front- and backend developers, a team leader, and a communication manager. Everybody on the team had integrated communication, and they also had one-on-one access to me.

How did you come to work with Rushkar Technology LLP?

I searched online and found them among the other 20–30 web and mobile app development companies within my area. I sent a proposal to all of them, and Rushkar Technology LLP replied after an hour. They also seemed enthusiastic about the project, while everyone else took about a week to respond. I also used Clutch to search for vendors.

We worked together on this project from July–November 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Rushkar Technology LLP delivered on what they said they would do. We just launched the application, so I don’t have any metrics yet. I have over 30 users at the moment, which is outstanding for me. The user feedback has been good so far; I haven’t received any negative comments yet.

How did Rushkar Technology LLP perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Google Meet for meetings and had a WhatsApp group for instant communication. We also did FaceTime occasionally for one-on-one calls.

We were impressed with their transparency and honesty.
