The project scope includes early exploration of ideas and solutions, defining key features and targeted users, agreement on critical business outcomes and creating delivery milestones that is achievable. Once project requirements and scopes are finalized, the development process starts with wireframes, design systems, screen designs and eventually moving on to agile user stories and continuous releases of completed features.

Towards the end of project, production release readiness includes stress testing and load testing to ensure platform performance can meet projected business growth in the first year.

Prior to a planned Beta launch, we had a series of pre-launch test or pilots planned. There’s a total of 4 test planned with the intention to improve our launch confidence and test/validate ideas pre-launch. All 4 test requires the product to be in various state of readiness so that internal users can run simulated scenarios and real-life scenarios using the platform. The project team managed to deliver on-time and always on stand-by during our test period which at times lasted for 2 weeks.

The team followed a standard Agile project management style, where we would have a 2-week sprint to deliver high priority tasks, after determining what goes into the sprint in our sprint planning calls. The team created an iOS and Android application for our sales team. When we met the first time, their team got to know our ideas before coming back with their suggestions. Once we decided on a solution, I provided all of the content before their team focused on all of the design and development.

The app would host all of the spec sheets, brochures, literature and any videos that went along with each product. It also has an ROI calculator. When the sales rep is meeting with the customer, they can punch in the parameters of the warehouse and receive what the ROI would be.

Our teams meet to go over issues or things that could be improved upon. Since we’re not experts by any means, they also give us feedback on what could be better.  

Everyone is excited about the app. I revealed the concept during a sales meeting. I let everyone know what we were working on and what designs we had. All of our sales reps are pleased with it.

Their team is excellent at getting back to me. I could send them a message right now, and within seconds, they’ll respond. For project management tools, we use Slack, email communication, and sometimes Basecamp.

They developed the websites for both of our stores, and they still maintain them today. Their team got to work right away on development. Originally, the site was built on Magento, but we’ve migrated the platform to Shopify so we could add features that could be integrated with our point of sale system in the store.

Then, they trained us on how to use Shopify so we could update content ourselves. While another person inputs all of the products into the website, maintains the site on a daily basis, They supports us as well. Sometimes they add banner photos, or after a photoshoot, we’ll send them the pictures to edit, crop, and post on the site.  

They also helped us establish a social media presence. Although we manage that now, they always give us tips and ideas of new things to try.

We had already developed the AI behind our app, and we had built an app around that AI. However, it had been built on an old programming language, so we needed them to move it into a new language that met European data security and cybersecurity regulations.
The scope provided us with developers who built almost a completely new mobile app for our AI on React Native. When they joined, we provided them with the app’s design and specifications for its features and functionality. Using that input, they developed the new app completely from scratch for iOS and Android.

Rushkar has done everything they said they would do. Moreover, they’ve stuck to the timeline and have been very diligent about keeping us on track. We’ll transition from design to development and track how smooth the process is and whether we stay on time and budget.

I’ve worked with other vendors, and my partner comes from the service provider world; we’re both impressed with their project management. For example, we had early questions about things we initially included in the scope that weren’t included.
