I'm the founder of a development service company specialized in sports events.

We needed a partner who could help us with website and app development for our business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pearster Global provided us support in creating web, app, and back and front end development. One of our last projects was a mobile app that allowed users to log in via SMS and follow live all the information and stats of a sports event. The platform was also linked to a website for event organizers to set up information and create and manage events.

We worked directly with 2–3 people from their team.

They were referred to me by someone who already knew their work.

We spent about $7,000 with them.

We worked together from June 2017–July 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have 10,000 active users on the app, and that number has increased steadily since our launch. We’ve also had great feedback from our users; they say it is easy to use and that they’re delighted with it.

How did Pearster Global perform from a project management standpoint?

They were fantastic; they were attentive and willing to collaborate from day one. We mainly communicated via phone calls and WhatsApp —  I liked their project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their client services, rapid response, and agility in the project's development are the features that stood out the most throughout the engagement.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have a bigger team and offer more services like UI/UX design, for example.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear on your goals; they're precise and quick with their work, so if you are clear on what you want to achieve, they can get to work right away.

Please describe your company and your position there.

ACE Australia provides personalised consultancy services to individuals seeking to live an work and study experience in Australia. I am a co-founder and my current role is as process development engineer.

For what projects/services did your company hire Pearster Global, and what were your goals?

We had to integrate different systems (CRM and ERP) within the same solution which could be accessed from different devices.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We scope around 3 providers that claimed they could provide a solution and we arranged some interviews. We asked them to walk us through a similar solution and we selected Pearson due to their experience.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We started 2020 with the main objective of taking our operations to the next level. In order of doing that, we soon identify that we wouldn't get there with our current capabilities. We explored some solutions in the market and we managed to implement a CRM and a better ERP.

We utilised Zoho products suite because our intention was to leverage the integrations available. Unfortunately, it was not as straightforward as we expected and then we decided to seek professional help to accomplish this integration.

This is when we started looking for a service provider and Pearson provided the solution we were after. They deliver a seamless integration that lets my team operate flawlessly with a fraction of the time (and data management requirements) that we used to handle.

We only worked with one individual, who manage both the project and the implementation so everything was more fluid.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our original intention to reduce administrative times by half was not only met but surpassed. I have not measured yet but I can also highlight a positive impact in terms of data management as the integration makes sure the data is sync and we can always refer to a unique source of truth. We were planning on hiring an extra full-time resource at that stage, but thanks to the successful implementation, we hired someone part time.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

They are really easy going and there were no language barriers. They adapt to our times and requirements really nicely and saved us some headaches. They provided a project timeline and they were clear on our deliverable needs and when they needed our input to avoid any delay.

They set a Jira board and we communicated through Discord when we needed to chat or call. They always replied promptly, even out of business hours which I really valued because I was worried about the time difference.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It was like having a satellite team. After a couple of weeks, it felt like they are a part of our company. They really took some burden off of my shoulders.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think we should have been more prepared for the scoping sessions, that would have saved some time at the beginning of the project. It was our first time doing something like this so we would have needed some heads up on the time requirement we needed to put from our side to ensure the project run smoothly.

We needed to integrate the webpage with our current e-commerce (WooCommerce) with WordPress and design the entire webpage experience

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I work in technology in a Big 4 and have many contacts in the field. I asked for quotations to several providers and Pearster was one of them. They provided one of the lowest quotations for the work and, as I personally have worked in the past with the man behind the company, decided to go with them.

We needed to improver our previous ecommerce website using latest Wordpress/WooCommerce solution to properly integrate with local tools. We hired Pearster to put the design together and deliver an attractive front-end, with a back-end well tested and integrated across all of our systems.

We worked with two people from the vendor. A developer/designer and an account manager.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their communication and transparency during the entire project were impressive. The resources were available for any questions or concerns, even after the webpage became live. Pearster provided a free-of-charge training on WordPress to our staff, providing the knowledge transfer required to become autonomous.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They executed exactly what we asked, but they didn't propose anything additional or out-of-the-box.
