CrediFit is an Australian fintech platform that simplifies business loans application for SME's. It collects a business's financial information once, analyses its financial position and prepare a lender ready application.

• Produce a downloadable, lender-ready report from the data captured in each application.
• Design the data model and architecture so identity verification, AML checks and lender integrations can be added later without redesign.
• Give a founder with deep finance expertise a technical partner who could make product and engineering decisions alongside the founder.
• Move a manually run loan application process into a multi-step web application that captures structured business data.

Technical advisory and product decisions, UX/UI design  and web aplication development. Testing led 2 product decisions: a lender agnostic report and a focuse on non-bank lenders that match SME loans. The data model and flows were designed so identity verification, AML  cjhecks and lender integrations  can be added later without redesign.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Real users from the founder's network tested the application flow and lender report. Weekly iterations on their feedback shaped the questions, flow and report format.

Testing confirmed the value of a lender-agnostic report and moved the product focus to non-bank lenders that match SME loan sizes.

Technical foundation in place for the platform build, with a data model designed for later identity verification, AML checks and lender integrations (deliberately deferred from the proof of concept).

Working proof of concept delivered on the fixed eight-week timeline (July to September 2025): multi-step application flow, structured data capture and a downloadable lender report.

I’m the head of product for SlaveCheck, a SaaS platform for supply chain due diligence and modern slavery compliance. We help businesses identify and manage modern slavery risks across their supply chains, engage suppliers, and produce reports under modern slavery legislation.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ostride Labs?

When I joined, the platform had accumulated quality and delivery problems and couldn’t be released, while enterprise customers were waiting. We hired Ostride Labs to take over the codebase, stabilize the product, and get it to launch. Then, we wanted them to keep developing it as an enterprise product.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ostride Labs has been responsible for enterprise UX, admin tools, the release process, and AI-based data collection. The first phase of the project was from May–October 2023. During this time, Ostride Labs triaged release blockers, prioritized tasks, created a controlled release path, and launched the product. After the launch, they redesigned the enterprise interface, rebuilt the admin panel, and set up a multi-environment release process.Currently, Ostride Labs is working on AI agents that collect supply chain data from public global sources and prefill records. Throughout the project, compliance-related requirements such as modern slavery act reporting and data residency have shaped the engineering. The team has used React, TypeScript, AWS, PlanetScale, and custom LLM-based agents.

We started working with Ostride Labs in May 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We launched the platform in October 2023, about four months into the engagement. Since then, multiple large enterprises have onboarded; onboarding has involved hundreds of users and thousands of supply chain counterparts. AI-powered data collection runs in production, and reports generated by the platform have been accepted in compliance reviews. Development continues.Additionally, we’ve seen a confidence in system stability, user satisfaction, engagement growth, and high levels of customer success.

How did Ostride Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

Ostride Labs has triaged and prioritized release blockers at the start. After the launch, they introduced a multi-environment setup and a controlled release process. We receive daily progress reports on Slack and have a weekly call. The launch was reached about four months into the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Ostride Labs’ technical excellence, autonomy in technical decisions, and their team’s ability to operate as if it were their own product have been impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I’ve been highly impressed with their attitude and delivery.

We hire Ostride Labs for challenging projects where we usually need cloud-native and full-stack expertise - such as managed scaling applications and platforms, security and general turn-key deliveries.

Ostride Labs was selected from a number of candidates using our standard interview and due diligence process.

The project was focused on video streaming processing in a cross-platform mobile app. Ostride Labs helped implement a successful proof of concept and moved on to the overall implementation up to the application release to stores.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The project team consisted of a functional analyst, up to 5 full-stack engineers and a quality assurance engineer.

The project was a success. The Ostride Labs has professionally managed requirements changes and constantly evolving business needs. We have met all project deadlines and were able to ship an innovative and competitive product that exceeded all client's expectations.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication was transparent and clear. Ostride Labs are experts in organizing collaborative work between teams and has a well-defined process for it. This part was essential to the overall success of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with their readiness to take on changes and adapt to new information and our quick decision-making - while ensuring the delivery is going forward successfully.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Ostride’s team has a rigorous hiring process - all engineers that worked with us were extremely professional, but we would ideally expect a quicker allocation of newly requested resources.

I’m the CEO of FrostFlow International Pty Ltd, an Australian early-stage company developing cold therapy applications.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ostride Labs?

We hired Ostride Labs to review and strengthen the technical architecture of our cold-therapy application. Our main goals were to validate that the platform was being designed correctly, improve its scalability, reliability, and AWS cost efficiency, and define a clear health-data orchestration approach for the mobile application. We also wanted a practical architecture blueprint that our in-house team could continue implementing after the engagement.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ostride Labs reviewed our existing technical architecture and worked with our team to strengthen the overall design of the product. Their scope covered the connected device, cloud platform, and mobile application, with particular attention to how those parts would work together reliably as the product scaled.The main deliverables included a recommended AWS architecture and future-state architecture blueprint, a proof-of-concept cloud environment using infrastructure-as-code, AWS cost and scaling forecasts, a health-data orchestration plan for the mobile application, and technical scope documents covering the backend, IoT, web, mobile, and compliance areas. They also helped us work through some of the more complex technical decisions and continued reviewing our team's pull requests after the main engagement.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The clearest measurable outcome was that the agreed architecture and planning work was completed within the fixed engagement and accepted by our team. We came out of the project with a defined target architecture, a proof-of-concept cloud environment, AWS cost and scaling forecasts, and clearer technical plans for the mobile application and connected-device integration. Most importantly, our internal team was then able to continue development on that foundation, with Ostride Labs providing follow-up pull-request reviews and technical guidance where needed.We didn’t track formal production KPIs such as percentage AWS cost reduction or development-time savings because the engagement took place at an early stage of the product and was primarily focused on architecture and technical planning. We did, however, use the AWS cost forecasts to understand how the platform would scale at different usage levels, and we measured success by whether the agreed technical deliverables were completed, accepted, and gave our internal team a clear foundation to continue development.

How did Ostride Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

Ostride Labs’ project management was structured and transparent. We worked against a clearly defined scope, used a shared ClickUp board to track the work, and had regular weekly calls to review progress and resolve questions. Communication was straightforward, and we always had good visibility into what the team was working on. The agreed deliverables were completed within the engagement and accepted by our team, so overall, we were satisfied with both the process and the timeliness of the delivery.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What impressed me most was how quickly they understood both the product and the stage our company was at. They didn’t try to replace our internal team or overcomplicate the solution. Instead, they worked with what we already had, challenged us where necessary, and gave very direct and transparent technical advice. That combination of senior expertise, honesty, and willingness to adapt to a small early-stage team was particularly valuable to us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were no major issues from our side. Because it was a relatively short, fixed-scope engagement, there were naturally areas where we could have gone deeper if we had more time, particularly around implementation and follow-through. Within the agreed scope, however, they delivered what we expected and worked well with our internal team.
