I’m the Volunteer and Special Events Director for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Topeka.

What challenge were you trying to address with OneEach Technologies?

When I came on a year-and-a-half ago, our website was five years old, to my understanding. We were already using OneEach, so it was time to upgrade to get easier clicks and a prettier version.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We did a full overhaul of the website. We got rid of the old one and come onto Drupal 8. I helped with picking images and videos that would be on the site but they took all the information from our old site and switched it over. I helped mostly on the look.

They provided me with four options for a basic look: movement, big pictures. They helped us decide what we wanted to portray. We chose one of those, and then they worked with us to get personal images specific to the Topeka area.

What is the team composition?

There were eight people in our Basecamp I could reach out to, but I mainly worked with three.

How did you come to work with OneEach Technologies?

We were already working with them, but I looked around and had some conversations with three other companies. Us being a non-profit, budget was a huge thing. The other companies were amazing but they were way out of our price range. Also, they demanded a lot out of me and I didn’t have the time. We’re a big small organization; one person is in charge of a plethora of stuff. OneEach already knew our organization and our mission, as well as what we were looking for and what works for us.

Finally, I liked the vibe I got from Allyson (VP of Customer Relations) and they were an easy pick for our budget.

How much have you invested with them?

Our monthly payment to them for running out site is $1,600 after the upgrade. We got some extra benefits with that, including help updating content as we go. The upgrade itself was $1,800–$2,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together on the website overhaul from November 2019 until January 2020. They still drive and manage our website, however.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have a lot more traffic coming to the site. Our board was very impressed with how easy it is to find the “Donate” button on the new site. On our previous site, it took four clicks where it should have taken one. Our online donations have increased as well, and they’re easier to track.

How did OneEach Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They communicated through Basecamp and explained to me exactly how it worked. It’s never been easier for me to follow a project than it was during this one.

What did you find most impressive about them?

This was my first website overhaul, and I’m someone who asks questions but they never got annoyed with me. They were never not available to talk. Especially Allyson, our main point of contact; she was amazing and gave me a lot of her time to explain the “why” going on behind the scenes.

Natalie (Project Manager) and Lindsay (Marketing Coordinator) were also amazing. During the period when we through we were going to miss our deadline because of the holidays, they were very honest with us.

I have been in customer service since I was 18 and OneEach Technologies was awesome to work with. They were transparent and helped us find solutions to problems.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Because I’m a part of the development team, I was trying to get my boss on the Basecamp and that took a couple of tires. I’m not sure whether that falls on our side or their side, but I had to reach out to them a couple of times. Additionally, there was some delay around the holidays based on days off and when I could get back to them. Our target date was January 14th and the site went live on the 20th.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Pick someone that’s going to give you the best customer service and support; it’s not always the pretty bells and whistles. It’s about knowing who’s going to work with you when you run into nitty-gritty challenges. OneEach technologies excels at this; they’re right up there.

Additionally, be on top of the project and know where you’re at with your deadlines.

Unity of Ventura is a tax-exempt non-denominational church. It has a practical, positive approach to spirituality, based on the teachings of Jesus and the power of affirmative prayer. I serve as the president of the board of trustees.

Our previous administrator had retired, and took all the institutional knowledge about how to maintain our website, which is hosted by OneEach Technologies. I asked for training to be able to maintain our calendar, update photos, and post videos of our services.

What were your goals for this project?

Be able to independently maintain the web-based calendar, update photos and other information, and post videos of our services.

Referred to us by the Unity Association of churches.

Describe the project in detail.

This is our church's official website. Information had become outdated, especially in light of the COVID-19 stay-at-home orders. We needed to refresh many screens.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I learned exactly what I needed and more. Training was clear, precise, targeted and tailored to my learning needs.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The rapport I established with the trainer, Emily Bowen, was excellent. I recommend her highly.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Emily was able to resolve my issues and answer all my questions on the first try. Communication was in "English" and not "geek-speak."

Not at this time.

I'm the executive director at the United Way of Geary County. We're a 501c-3 that raises funds for our county.

We needed help with web design services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

When I stepped into the position, I found out the last executive director wasn't very technically up to date. The website we had was attached to our phone company. It was completely outdated and they didn't support it anymore. If there was an issue, I didn't have anyone to talk to. Whenever I went to change pictures, they would just get deleted. I reached out to OneEach, found a small package for us. We set a launch date for a new site and met it.

What is the team composition?

I work with 2-3 members of their team.

How did you come to work with OneEach Technologies?

I reached out to other United Ways and learned that they all used OneEach.

How much have you invested with them?    

We invested $4,000, with an annual fee of $500 – $600.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in January 2017, and our site launched in February 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've seen a lot more interaction on our site and we've saved a lot of time and money. We were able to switch our allocation application online, which probably saved us $1000 alone.

How did OneEach Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They're amazing at communication. There would always email me about new updates, and they're really easy to work with. They took me through everything step by step. We actually launched before the deadline.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their interaction with people is great. They're a very people-oriented company. They're not driven by proceeds; they're driven by results and how they meet the needs of the client.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they do a phenomenal job.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They're worth every penny. I was terrified to go web-based but they made it so easy that I felt tech-savvy afterward.

OneEach Technologies is our website administrator. Allyson is our support person who has been instrumental in getting our website updated and assisting us in using it effectively.

What were your goals for this project?

With the position who managed the website eliminated in December 2019 and not filled until October 2020, the goals of the project was to update information on our website and to utilize the portals for submission of grant applications and accessibility of a board portal for our board of directors.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Our relationship with OneEach Technologies goes back a number of years. OneEach Technologies' experience with the uniqueness of United Ways is one reason we went with and have maintained our relationship with them.

In addition, our support person, Allyson, has experienced working for a local United Way, which allows her to understand our needs.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

The project began in August 2019 with Allyson working with us during a number of sessions to address dated information on our website. In the fall of 2019, Allyson assisted us with setting up a portal to accept grant applications for 37 programs that we are considering to fund with our Community Impact Fund.

During the time period from October 2019 through February 2020, Allyson and the support staff assisted us as some issues arose. In addition, assistance helped set up a board portal, the first time one was set up for our board members. This has been valuable to the board members as well as the United Way staff.

What was the team composition?

The team's composition mainly consisted of Allyson. Though often it was needed to contact support through email. Since August, 2019, the Executive Director managed the website. Since October, 2019, our new Marketing & Communications Coordinator manages the website and has reached out to Allyson.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The impact of this project was extremely valuable. It was important for 38 grant applications to be submitted via our website and not via email or hard copies. It managed the process efficiently and effectively.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The process involved notifying nonprofits of the process to submit 37 grant applications in December 2019. The deadline date to submit was February 14, 2020. Review of the grant applications by United Way staff took place from February 14 through March 1, 2020 to ensure that all grant applications contained necessary information.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Our United Way could not have brought our website up to date nor utilize it effectively for the Community Impact Fund grant process. It was impressive that OneEach Technologies, especially their employee, Allyson, responded to our needs quickly and were attentive to our needs. The OneEach Technologies staff members, including Allyson, were always professional in their roles.

United Way of Pitt County is a nonprofit focused on building and strengthening our communities by investing in programs and services that make the greatest impact. I am the Director of Resource Development.

To build our website and provide on-going support to staff.

What were your goals for this project?

To create a user friendly web platform that our constituents could visit and learn more about the organization and how they can contribute to United Way's mission. We also leveraged Oneeach capabilities to create platforms for our corporate partners so that they can provide their staff the ability to pledge or give online for their individual campaigns.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

When I came on board, our organization was already partnering with Oneeach. Once I joined United Way, I saw a need to up-grade our current website and Oneeach had the best branded platform that met our needs visually and financially.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

They presented us with up-grade options, made the switch for us and have continued to provide us with support.

What was the team composition?

There were a number of Oneeach team members working to transform our old site to the new platform which they did in the agreed upon time. What is best about Oneeach is the service after the the conversion.

As a user you have the ability to reach support via online conversations or by scheduling a skype meeting where they share their screen and walk you through the process- which they record and email it to you so you will always have that resource to go back to. For me, the site is great, but its the continued service that makes me a believer in Oneeach.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The impact this product and team has had on our business is that we are now able to offer our partners a viable online giving and engagement platform. More and more people are donating money and connecting online. Our organization needs to have a footprint that is professional and easily accessible to navigate if we want repeat business.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project management team was very organized and detailed during the conversion. I had tasks and deadlines I needed to meet so as not to hold up the process. Not being a tech person, they took the time to explain steps in ways I could understand. The conversion went smoothly and they are still with me every step of the way teaching me and supporting our efforts.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The support staff is very impressive. I can post a non-urgent question, or I can start a direct conversation if my need is more immediate, their response time is fantastic.

But what is most impressive is the training and support I receive from Allyson James, who also happen to have worked for a United Way at one time, so she understands my needs, the questions I ask and why I am asking them.

It is because of her in-depth knowledge of our nonprofit model that I am able to leverage and learn from her new methods and processes I can apply to our online presence.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We also purchased photo library because we didn't have much to use on our end. I would like to see a broader variation of photos.

Our Mission is to accurately assess the needs of Gordon County and mobilize available resources to meet these needs. We serve 18 local agencies in Gordon County, as well as serving as a referral source for the community. As the Executive Director, I am thankful for the partnerships that help to make our community a better place for generations to come.

Since we are only a staff of two people, having people, like Allyson, makes my job just a little bit easier!

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

By having the sponsorship form online, we are offering a convenience to our corporate partners and sponsors of the event. The desired outcome of the event will be to continue building community awareness, relationships, and partnerships as well as offer sponsorships for the high school students who place in the show. Since this is a show comprised of student dancers, we do offer scholarships to the couples that place. Each member of the winning teams – both Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice – will win $1,000 scholarships. Members of the first runner-up teams in each category will receive $750, and third place finishers will get $500 each. We also hold this fundraiser to help supplement the financial support needed for the 18 agencies in Gordon County. We have nine talented high school couples are not only dancing, but volunteering time to learn about us and the agencies that we support.

I just scheduled a time to meet with Allyson and we were able to walk through the whole process together.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

OneEach is always quick to respond to Help Desk Tickets and/or to schedule a phone call to address any questions or concerns. They make website management easy.

What was the scope of their involvement?

OneEach Technologies has run our website for a long time. At this point, they’re in charge of routine upgrades, such as updating the calendar or our web forms. When I started my job here in October 2019, we were working together within a few days. 

What is the team composition?

I’ve been working with Allyson (Account Manager, OneEach Technologies) on the project. I also can instant message tech support when needed, but Allyson has been the main source of help on their team.  

How did you come to work with OneEach Technologies?

When I joined the company, I didn’t know how to run our website. I got contact information from OneEach Technologies from our CFO, and they’ve been helping me with the page. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Personally, I started working with them in November 2019, and our projects are ongoing. However, they’ve been partnering with us long before I started here.

We’ve definitely streamlined the information on the website for reporting purposes. Allyson has helped me set up the site differently so that information flows more easily to users.  

How did OneEach Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

I’m always in contact with Allyson with questions about running the website. She’s been extremely helpful over email and conference calls. We’ve worked a lot to get me settled into my role here. She can answer all of my questions, even sending me recorded explanations of technical processes when she was unable to communicate over the phone. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The customer service has been great. Rather than just solving problems for us, they’re willing to teach us how to handle certain tasks. That sets me up better for the future.

I am a volunteer board member for the United Way of Prince Edward County and it was my job to upgrade our website as part of the marketing committee.

We are so happy with our how site looks! You would never know we are a 100% volunteer board with how amazing this site looks!

OneEach through the use of Basecamp made everything so simple! The instructions were easy to follow and so user friendly!

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Everything! They made it completely easy to change from our current site to our new site.

I am the Communications Director for our company. We are a medium sized nonprofit who serves a 14-county area.

We've used OneEach as our website developer and manager. We recently went to one of their newly upgraded site options.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal of the updated website was for a more modern and user-friendly site than the prior version.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We had been using this vendor in the past with our previous website, so we opted to stay with them because of their experience with United Way Worldwide, familiarity with branding, cost, and access to help when needed.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

We provided content and they did all product design and layout. It simplified the process and made the transition smooth (without our office needing to be taken away from other projects we were working on).

What was the team composition?

I only dealt with a few people during the transition: our regular account manager, Allyson, who is credibly reliable and accessible when I need help, and some web designers, who let me know what extra information they needed during the process.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

I do feel the site is a far superior look and feel than the previous site. I also believe it enables more options than we had on the prior site, with just an overall better design.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

All of our communications were online and very quick. I found that if I had a question when I posted the question in the portal, it was answered very quickly. I then received an email that gave me a heads up that there is an update to the portal.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The best part about the company is the background that our account manager brings. She has a long history of working with United Way, so she has a plethora of experience and advice for "what's worked, what doesn't, and the best practices." I think that is invaluable to the business that we do. I always know I can call or email her to ask for best practice, or to check over my work on an addition I have made to the page, and that she will quickly get back in touch.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I do wish there were some things I was able to manage on the site on my own without having to put in a request, ie, changing the background picture or color on certain pages. There are certain formats to the site that is out of control. I also believe there is a fee to change these that I don't agree with.

I am the meal program manager, along with several other things; including the website manager.

Our outdated old website was taken over by hackers, and ransom was demanded; we did not pay!

What were your goals for this project?

Rebranding to the Meals on Wheels logo, a functional site that was user and administrator friendly, and an updated site that would appeal to our demographic AND beyond, since our site not only needs to attract donors, it must appeal to volunteers, current and potential clients and their families as well.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Meals on Wheels America has partnered with One Each to help us all adopt the national brand and made it affordable with that partnership.

Describe the project in detail.

One Each worked with swiftness and precision, but, we have a very limited staff and we caused many delays in the project simply because there weren't enough hours in the day to feed 325+ senior citizens and attend to administrative tasks. Yet, all of our support staff at One Each remained patient and ready to assist and/or progress to the next steps as soon as we were ready!

The online training videos are VERY well done and were a saving grace; often I would watch them at home to prepare for the tasks I had hoped to complete while at work the next day! If I had been required to schedule training during working hours, we'd still be trying to get this site built!

What was the team composition?

It was just me working on our site, but I had 2 dynamic partners at One Each to guide me through each step, and behind them was a team of 5 more folks ready to step in and complete their piece of the project as soon as it arrived on their task list! Lindsay and Emily are dynamite! They are both VERY knowledgeable, personable and efficient! Was a joy to work with them and everyone on the One Each Team!

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

For the first time ever, in just over 30 days we will "officially" launch our site to the public AND we will be able to accept donations online! As well as accept new requests/referrals for meals on wheels service!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Writeboard and Basecamp made this whole project SO much easier! Being able to quickly communicate to the entire team made for a smooth flow to the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

One Each has assembled a phenomenal team! Each member of the team knows the full scope of the project, and each provides a different talent. From the very start, it's very clear that One Each has tried to think of everything that might be needed, used or asked!
