We needed help with updating our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

OneEach Technologies upgraded our website from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8. They also host our website. The team completely carried over all of our images, web forms, and everything from our old website. In terms of branding, they managed to keep it specific to our organization. We continue to work together on other projects.

What is the team composition?

I work with two different people who oversaw the upgrade, Jordan and Binh (Project Managers). 

How did you come to work with OneEach Technologies?

We’ve worked with the team for quite a few years now. They work with a lot of our branches, so they have all of the branding requirements already, and it made sense for us to work with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent a little over $900 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

This particular project started in October 2020, and it’s ongoing. We’ve worked on numerous projects since we started our engagement a few years ago.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We're completely satisfied with the website. It’s a very modern-looking website — I have received a lot of positive feedback on the visuals. We're delighted that we decided to do the upgrade. The team has given us exactly what we needed.

How did OneEach Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Basecamp as an intermediary for us to communicate and use as a task manager. It allows us to keep track of what the team needed to do as we moved forward. Aside from Basecamp, we also communicate through email. They’re very responsive and always stay within deadlines. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is quick to answer any questions, whether it was through email or Basecamp. Not even a full day would go by before their team responded — their customer service is excellent. We’ll definitely continue working with OneEach Technologies.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing that I can think of — we didn't have any issues or hiccups at all.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just give them all of the information they need and promptly provide everything that OneEach Technologies requires.

I am the Executive Director at Lake Area United Way. We are a small United Way serving two counties in eastern Oklahoma.

We wanted a webpage where our community could easily access resources they may need. It needed to be easy to update for our ever changing needs and user friendly.

We recently updated to Drupal8 and the support team has been amazing to patiently walk us through each step. The new website looks amazing and is easy to navigate as a user and editor. We also recently transitioned our office into new roles and OneEach has supported new team members coming to the computer for guidance.

What was the team composition?

Our team can easily set up time with our project manager or submit support tickets to a managing team of support. They are quick to communicate and solve any problems we experience.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our community investment committee is able to evaluate applications for funding online, extinguishing the need to reach out to a different grant evaluation provider.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager and support team are amazing to work with. They help you through each challenge and help you understand how to do it on your own by providing great resources to reference later. Support also provides insight in to making the website more user friendly and makes suggestions for creating pages that are beautiful, concise and logical.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Our project manager is kind, smart and patient. I am thankful that we can work together in a manner that enables me to trust they will help us to do what is best not just for our business, but ultimately for our community. By providing easy access to the resources in our community, we are helping to make lives better.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I am always so grateful for the support OneEach provides.

Please describe your company and your position there.

United Way fights for the education, financial stability and health of every person in our community through strategic grantmaking, community engagement, and projects. As the VP of Communication and Engagement, I oversee our communication strategy and impact programming.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire OneEach Technologies, and what were your goals?

We have been working with One Each for about 3.5 years now. We were interested in an update to the aesthetic of our website, and were able to time that to coincide with the upgrade of our back-end system (a move from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8).

SOLUTION

How did you select OneEach Technologies and what were the deciding factors?

We initially chose One Each because of two factors: their templates that were already aligned with United Way brand standards made it easy for our small team to have a nice website that was aligned with our brand without spending too much on design. Second was their competitive price.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We were offered a number of template options for our upgrade. Once we chose the template we preferred, our team began working to reorganize our website's menu and pages in order to better function within the new design.

Meanwhile, the One Each team facilitated the move from our previous website to our old website, and set up a Staging site to allow us to make changes within the new website, play with new features, etc. before going live.

We received great training on new features from our Account Manager, Jordan. Communication with the team was facilitated through their Base Camp, which allowed us to keep their entire team in the look on any challenges.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked most directly with Binh as our Project Manager and Jordan as our Account Manager. However, through the Base Camp site, we were able to keep the entire team that worked on our project in the loop on any of our challenges.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our updated website is still very new, so we haven't yet looked at measurable data related to site traffic. However, we have received great feedback on both the aesthetic and usability of the website from both staff and board members.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

Project communication is facilitated by the Project Manager through the Base Camp site. Our Project Manager Binh was consistent about communicating what information the team needed from us, and the timeline of the project. Because the whole team received our communication, they were able to stay in the loop on any of our challenges and respond as needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

By providing a number of templates, One Each allows local United Ways to both easily align with the brand standards of United Way Worldwide, and ensure that our websites are direct mirrors of other United Way websites. We have the chance to borrow ideas from others using similar templates while also making our own site unique.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We have been satisfied with our work with One Each.

We are a local United Way raising funds to support health and human services programs in our community. We also have several in-house programs that provide assistance to people in need as well as to promote early literacy.

We hired OneEach Technologies to upgrade our website from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8 platform. Our previous site had become stagnant and outdated and the capabilities in the new platform would allow us to have a more modern and interactive website.

Our knowledge in the area of web design and maintenance is extremely limited so we relied on our OneEach team to lead us through the process. Our goal is to have a website that is interesting and easily updated so viewers continually visit our site to learn about our presence in the community.

How did you select OneEach Technologies and what were the deciding factors?

OneEach Technologies was the provider of our previous website. We were pleased with their service, however, we had used the same site for quite some time. The capabilities in the new platform would give us a much needed upgrade.

We chose to stay with OneEach Technologies because their team provides great support and the service is affordable to a non-profit organization that tries to put as many dollars raised as possible into the needs in the community.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The OneEach Technologies support team created a Basecamp for us to collect any content that would be moved from our old site to our new site. They provided us with a clear timeline for the work to be done on their end and when they needed input from us.

They communicated with us regularly to see if we had any questions about moving forward on the project and responded quickly when we did. Upon completion of the project, we had plenty of time to review the new site before going live as well as several training sessions to teach us to maintain and update our site.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Our main points of contact were our project manager and our account manager, although 9 others were included on communications during the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We and our Board of Directors love the new site. It feels professional, modern and easy to navigate. There were functions and capabilities in the platform that allowed us to share of content in an organized manner. 

We have also been able to create secure areas for Agency applications and Board ratings, where we used to use paper copies. Using these online webforms has saved us a tremendous amount of time!

We received regular messages from our project manager, who checked in to see if we had questions as well as let us know of any upcoming deadlines. She communicated any issues to her team and they were resolved quickly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Our OneEach Technologies team met us at our level of understanding of website maintenance and provided as much support and instruction as we have needed. We are a small office with no background and minimal experience in this field and they are always available to answer our questions. Our account manager also listens to what we want to accomplish and then teaches us the best way to display information or collect data.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No! We had minimal experience in updating and maintaining a website, and now we are able to add menu items, update pages to keep content new and interesting, build webforms and more!

I am the Director of Marketing and Research at Cedar Valley United Way, which is a nonprofit dedicated to raising funds and reinvesting them back into the community via funding of organizations that focus on education, health, financial stability and emergency and basic needs.

We hired OneEach Technologies to re-design our website. With COVID-19 as a barrier for us going in to organizations to speak and gather pledge forms, we had to come up with a creative way to tell the community what we do and how they can help.

How did you select OneEach Technologies and what were the deciding factors?

OneEach Technologies was our existing web host, but we didn't hesitate to continue our relationship with them.

From their outstanding support team to their flawless customer service, we were able to find a way to upgrade our site to the newest platform and create custom donation pages for each organization.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Cedar Valley United Way has a unique campaign season where we go into each business in the community and give a presentation where we collect pledges and donations.

With COVID-19, we were unable to give hardly any presentations and tell the community about the great work we are doing. I spoke with Allyson, who provided a solution to our problem via a site upgrade.

Her professional and prompt team was able to convert our existing site to the new, more user friendly, site and create a pledge form similar to the paper one we bring in to organizations.

We were able to collect pledges from each organization with their own unique landing page and URL, conveying how long their campaign was running for, what we at Cedar Valley United Way do, and how they can help combat the needs in our community, with the addition of a donation form right there on that page.

I worked with Allyson, who is our main point of contact at OneEach. I then worked with Binh, who was the project manager for the staging site. She conveyed the site progress and any other pertinent details to me as soon as they occurred.

Both Allyson and Binh are excellent and I highly, highly recommend using OneEach for your website needs.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching the new site, we were still able to maintain collection of donations from each of the community organizations we partner with. Site traffic is now boosted and the overall look and feel of the site is just totally upgraded.

Not to mention, the back end for my use is easy to use while I am still able to maintain creativity of the site.

I was updated almost weekly during the staging site set up, and could still use the existing site while that was being set up. We used Basecamp to communicate and show the timeline for the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We honestly could not have stayed afloat this year were it not for OneEach Technologies and the site upgrade.

Their solution to providing unique, customized donation pages for each community organization allowed us to still collect pledges from companies and maintain the safety of our staff and volunteers.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not at all. Everything from the desire to begin the project to completion of the site (and even a follow up meeting after using the site for a few months) was perfect.

Please describe your company and your position there.

We are a United Way in a small-mid sized community. There are 8 full time staff members. I am the VP of Resource Development and the editor and content manager of our webpage.

For what projects/services did your company hire OneEach Technologies?

We hired OneEach Technologies to host our website.

What were your goals for this project?

We transitioned from a different website host and wanted to move our content in the most efficient way possible. We needed to be able to create forms, process credit card donations, use our branding colors, fonts and images, and highlight our work. We were also seeking a mobile responsive format.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

OneEach came highly recommended by other United Way's. They had specific United Way templates available, were very reasonably priced, and had excellent customer support.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

OneEach used a sharing software and a project list to help us provide them with all of the content they would need to set up our new site. We had ongoing access to excellent customer service while setting everything up.

Since the initial set up, we have easily edited our site, created new content, uploaded new images, created donation pages, created webforms, and utilized their text to give platform.

Most recently, we have been updated to include new features which are making it incredibly easy to offer virtual workplace campaigns. There are a number of other features available that we have not yet explored.

What was the team composition?

There are about 3 or 4 team members that I regularly work with whenever I have trouble or need to edit something outside my abilities. They are always incredibly responsive and quick to help if there are ever questions or problems. It is easy to set up a web meeting with them to go over questions or learn new things.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Most recently, OneEach provided us with the ability to host virtual workplace campaigns, which is going to be a game changer for us. In the COVID crisis climate, we are unable to host in-person workplace campaign meetings.

OneEach upgraded our website to add new features which is making it a breeze to design customized workplace campaign templates for each of our companies through a combination of landing pages and webforms.

There are even calculation features which allow the donor to declare the amount they want to give each pay period and it calculates their total annual gift automatically. The company campaign coordinators can log into their own customized workplace campaign page to pull results reports.

It does everything you need and more! Without this capability, we would be in dire straights. Our OneEach representative, Allyson, has provided amazing customer service and developed the template for us which is making our job of cloning and customizing super easy!

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project management started with one key contact who walked us through every step with endless patience. Since then, we have met with other team members virtually as needed. There are a number of online tutorials and videos available 24/7 as well, which makes finding information easy and efficient.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I cannot believe the value- what we get for a nominal annual fee is out of this world. We cannot afford much, and we are incredibly grateful to have found this amazing team and amazing product for the price.

None!

United Way of Southeast Mississippi is a local non-profit organization that strives to make a positive impact in Forrest, Lamar, Perry and Marion Counties. By providing funds to partnering non-profit agencies, United Way addresses community issues in four impact areas: education, financial stability, health, and support services.

OneEach is our website host/tech support vendor. We recently worked with them to upgrade to a new website theme.

What were your goals for this project?

To create a site that was more fresh, modern, user-friendly, and in line with what our fellow United Ways were utilizing.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We were already working with OneEach and our account manager told us about a special upgrade offer back in March. For us, it was an easy decision to proceed with the upgrade.

Website development and support.

What was the team composition?

There were three members from our organization involved in the planning and decision-making for the new site. We worked with about three or four representatives from OneEach, including our Account Manager Allyson, throughout the process.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We've only been live with the new site for a couple of weeks now and already we've gotten some very positive input from our Board of Directors regarding the aesthetic appeal of the site and the layout. They are also especially excited about the private Board login feature that will be implementing soon.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project management by Binh and her team were one of the reasons we feel this process was so simple and effective. Everyone was super professional and helpful and the whole project was very well organized.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The organization of the project and the personable customer service of the OneEach team left a lasting impression for us. They worked with us on some hiccups in our timeline due to our pandemic relief efforts and were gracious enough to extend our deadline to help accommodate those efforts. For this, we are truly grateful.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I think it would have been helpful to have more training videos for our particular web theme (Mojave), as there were a few things upon our website going live that I was unsure whether they were operator error or issues with the site. So more comprehensive web training, as well as some specific one-off videos, might would help make the process go smoother.

We’re an Alaskan nonprofit organization that aims to raise funds for the southeast portion of the state and support nonprofits in the area. My role is as an office administrator. I oversee clerical work requirements to assist the president of campaign efforts.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with OneEach Technologies?

They’re our website, domain, and email server host.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prior to my start at the company, the team had already taken over our email and hosting services. However, I adopted some responsibilities for the website when I joined. In my journey to update it, they consulted on which themes would work best for the site and provided us suggestions until we were financially able to move forward with the project.

Once we did, they started curating information and content from our old website to move it into our new platform. That migration process took about four months. The site is in Drupal 8 and needed a secure documents page for board members as well as an accurate contact us page. Overall, the site got a facelift as well. They continue to provide hosting services and assist me in posting creatively to the site.

What is the team composition?

I initially had one point of contact, but we switched to a different main point of contact partway into the project. I suspect that was because our new project manager had collaborated with our organization before and understood our goals and mission from that engagement. Otherwise, there were five additional team members.  

How did you come to work with OneEach Technologies?

I wasn’t a part of the original team that selected them, but we’ve never considered another partner. They’ve been efficient and quick to answer questions.

What is the status of this engagement?

The website project lasted from January–April 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The site functions as it should, and the team was willing to make any last-minute fixes that we deemed necessary. They approached the project with great attention to detail and took over tasks that I wouldn’t be able to handle on my own.   

How did OneEach Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re always readily available to us. Given the remote nature of our collaboration due to the pandemic, I’ve appreciated their willingness to turn on their cameras during calls. They also share their screens to make sure we understand their explanations.

Additionally, I appreciate it when they record those video meetings, so I have something to look back on if I need help later on. They serve as tutorials for our website in that way. To communicate, we’re able to quickly submit our questions and concerns over an online form 95% of the time. That’s been very easy.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their quick rate of response is very impressive to me. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

This was my first web migration project, so I feel like I may not have been asking the right questions in the beginning and some things weren’t clear to me. It would have been helpful to have a bit more clarification in the early steps of their process. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They have a strong team and product, working hard to achieve it. Just make sure you get the clarification you need early on.

I’m the executive director at the United Way of Pettis County. We have a focus on mental health, substance abuse, hunger, and early childhood literacy.

What challenge were you trying to address with OneEach Technologies?

We needed a better web platform to meet several needs for the organization. We’re a smaller United Way so our budget was a big factor.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built out our new platform, enabled with CiviCRM. The new solution they installed for us has grant applications functionality and a recording of agency accountability on a monthly basis.

It also allowed us to create an emergency fund for COVID-19. We were able to transform our donation page easily into that donors could contribute to that fund directly. It also allows us to communicate to our board, share our bylaws, our calendar, and our partners.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with Allyson (VP of Customer Relations), Marshall (Customer Support), and Jeff (Customer Support).

How did you come to work with OneEach Technologies?

I put the question out there in an online forum resource for United Ways. Over 50% of the responses came back with OneEach as their recommendation. We looked at different options, but OneEach seemed to be the fit that we could utilize easily, get good support, and would be a good investment.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $4,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together four years and eight months ago, and our work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They brought us into the 21st century. The website itself is a great tool and they worked with us to create something that would be best for us and our community. They walked me through the process of how to update information easily. They understand the United Way Foundation and the needs of a small office.

We work with about 22 other service area organizations, who work with us or apply for United Way funding. People have said there was a lot of ease in cleaning the application and the reporting criteria. OneEach was able to work with us and simplify our grant application process.

Allyson and her team worked with me and in one case even built a template for me since I didn’t have the time. I was able to use that template year after year to make adjustments. We’ve also simplified it year after year to make it more concise, and the same goes for our reporting criteria. So many organizations have commented on how easy the process has become. OneEach Technologies really helped me help all of these organizations.

How did OneEach Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

If I ever had difficulty with something, they would respond within an hour with help. Since we do everything ourselves here, they really helped up. When we first started, Allyson didn’t bat an eye in meeting my needs; she was very available and scheduled time whenever I needed it for training.

Now, when I want to start a chat with a technician, it’s usually Jeff or Marshall, and I let them know through a work request or a help ticket. They’ve even fixed issues I’ve had within just half an hour.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer service is excellent. When you’re a one-person office, and you’re working with OneEach, they’re like another department for your team. It always feels like we’re part of each other’s team. They’ve allowed me to get more work done than ever before.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wish I could use their CiviCRM system and their calendar more to their fullest capabilities. Part of it is me because I need to take the time to learn how to use it. On the other hand, it’s their product, so it would be nice for them to share with their clients what they could be doing with the system.

I’m the Volunteer and Special Events Director for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Topeka.

What challenge were you trying to address with OneEach Technologies?

When I came on a year-and-a-half ago, our website was five years old, to my understanding. We were already using OneEach, so it was time to upgrade to get easier clicks and a prettier version.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We did a full overhaul of the website. We got rid of the old one and come onto Drupal 8. I helped with picking images and videos that would be on the site but they took all the information from our old site and switched it over. I helped mostly on the look.

They provided me with four options for a basic look: movement, big pictures. They helped us decide what we wanted to portray. We chose one of those, and then they worked with us to get personal images specific to the Topeka area.

What is the team composition?

There were eight people in our Basecamp I could reach out to, but I mainly worked with three.

How did you come to work with OneEach Technologies?

We were already working with them, but I looked around and had some conversations with three other companies. Us being a non-profit, budget was a huge thing. The other companies were amazing but they were way out of our price range. Also, they demanded a lot out of me and I didn’t have the time. We’re a big small organization; one person is in charge of a plethora of stuff. OneEach already knew our organization and our mission, as well as what we were looking for and what works for us.

Finally, I liked the vibe I got from Allyson (VP of Customer Relations) and they were an easy pick for our budget.

How much have you invested with them?

Our monthly payment to them for running out site is $1,600 after the upgrade. We got some extra benefits with that, including help updating content as we go. The upgrade itself was $1,800–$2,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together on the website overhaul from November 2019 until January 2020. They still drive and manage our website, however.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have a lot more traffic coming to the site. Our board was very impressed with how easy it is to find the “Donate” button on the new site. On our previous site, it took four clicks where it should have taken one. Our online donations have increased as well, and they’re easier to track.

How did OneEach Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They communicated through Basecamp and explained to me exactly how it worked. It’s never been easier for me to follow a project than it was during this one.

What did you find most impressive about them?

This was my first website overhaul, and I’m someone who asks questions but they never got annoyed with me. They were never not available to talk. Especially Allyson, our main point of contact; she was amazing and gave me a lot of her time to explain the “why” going on behind the scenes.

Natalie (Project Manager) and Lindsay (Marketing Coordinator) were also amazing. During the period when we through we were going to miss our deadline because of the holidays, they were very honest with us.

I have been in customer service since I was 18 and OneEach Technologies was awesome to work with. They were transparent and helped us find solutions to problems.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Because I’m a part of the development team, I was trying to get my boss on the Basecamp and that took a couple of tires. I’m not sure whether that falls on our side or their side, but I had to reach out to them a couple of times. Additionally, there was some delay around the holidays based on days off and when I could get back to them. Our target date was January 14th and the site went live on the 20th.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Pick someone that’s going to give you the best customer service and support; it’s not always the pretty bells and whistles. It’s about knowing who’s going to work with you when you run into nitty-gritty challenges. OneEach technologies excels at this; they’re right up there.

Additionally, be on top of the project and know where you’re at with your deadlines.
