My website is up and running

The only true hiccup I experienced was with Asana. Being unfamiliar with that program presented some issues. I do think that it would be beneficial if there was more training on that. As the chief executive of everything in my business, I didn't have the time to watch a multitude of videos to learn the program. 

I do think that this learning curve led to some delays. But once that was cleared up, things went well and I'm happy with where the site is and I'm excited to continue building it out.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Jared's vision. He helped me get out of my "small world" mentality enough to see that there is a whole world out there that might have need of my s.ervices

Are there any areas for improvement or something Nova Luna could have done differently?

LOL Jared needs to slow down when throwing ideas at me (which is definitely a "me" issue). I love and appreciate his enthusiasm but it can be overwhelming when we get on the phone..and now I have half a notebook of ideas that we've bounced around to will keep me on my toes and growing my business for a very long time. 

Maitreya is the opposite, he's pretty "to the point" and focuses more on the technical side of the site as far as I can tell. It's a very unique balance that works well.

Wix was the platform I chose to build the website on. Nova Luna is an expert Wix developer and is highly recommended preferred provider by Wix. They helped guide me through the entire process, from initial design to backend programming of forms, SEO, etc.

2 people worked with me, both principals of the firm. The business person helped me scope the work I needed to get done. The website developer helped me do the rest.

I've just launched the site so it's too soon to know how well it's doing.

This is an integrated father-son team. I thought that might be odd at first. But it turned out to be fantastic. They work well together and they each bring a complementary set of skills to the project.

I liked the unusual name of Nova Luna, which loosely translates and means New Moon Beginnings. I am an astrologer so I liked that synchronicity. Jared, who works in sales for Nova Luna, was easy to talk to and showed enthusiasm and excitement for my project. He really cares about his clients and wants them to be a success.

I let them work their creative genius and then show me an initial mock-up of their thoughts. I like what they presented and let them do their work with occasional check-ins on progress. They asked me what colors I like and what my style and vision was. They have a keen ability to create a website that looks amazing.

Jared was the initial sales person and has a creative vision for the project. Maitreya is the one who builds the website and makes sure that everything functions properly. He is great at tech support as well. I believe the company has a couple of other people who also worked on my website, taking direction from Jared and Maitreya.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They worked on a page for my YouTube videos and I really like how it turned out. They worked on connecting my PayPal accounts to my services page and donation page successfully. They were also able to successfully connect my service calendar to a client contact form so that the process of a client signing up for, and paying for, an appointment worked easily.

It is just myself, as I am self-employed, and the work flow between Nova Luna and myself went very well.

We reviewed a few different options. We didn’t want someone to large where they don’t care. We didn’t want someone that was out of the country. We didn’t want someone that didn’t have time for us. We felt Nova Luna meet these filters but still brought a lot of experience to the table.
