Communication was always very quick and Rajat needed to show great patience with me and my team. He was very flexible adapting to any communication technology I wished to use: Google Chat, Click Up, Teams. They always adapted to us - never expecting us to adapt to their technology - and I learned a lot on the way.

They were genuinely honorable, professional, and extremely friendly. It is fair to say that NBT cannot do enough for you or your business. They focus entirely on your success in order to ensure their own long term future. They are truly playing the long game and have the dev skills and business acumen to handle any project.

They have always done everything I asked - I am quite a perfectionist and some of my requests were literally pixel level design adjustments. They were always very receptive to any requests and implemented all changes quickly and efficiently.

Overall it was very good, it got delayed a little bit but there is some change of plan. They delivered work as promised and made changes as we requested.

We hired Next Big Technology to customize an existing crowdfunding platform we bought from another vendor so that it'd suit our business model. This platform was poorly designed and many of the functionalities didn't work. So the challenge was Next Big Technology had to spend a lot of time understanding the existing system without which they'd be unable to understand our requirements. Our previous vendors all failed on this and we almost gave it up. We're so glad we found the right IT partner.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Our selection KPIs includes minimum project cost, hourly rate, years in business, company size, number of reviews (verified vs non-verified in each level vs overall), overall rating, number of projects in each cost level, project duration, number of projects from North America, etc. Compared to competitors, Next Big Technology doesn't have the highest number of reviews but their average rating is very high especially small projects on which they did very well. When a company is able to do small projects well, then this company can handle big projects much better than competitors due to their attitude of attention to detail. If sometimes a vendor makes a grammatical mistake on the contract, this shouldn't be the deciding factor of carelessness. The same thing happened to us and Next Big Technology proved us wrong. The quality of their work is far beyond our expectations.

We have custom work for both frontend for users and backend for admin. We have different modules with different functionalities. We divided hundreds if not thousands of requirements into four milestones. We began each milestone after the last one was finished. Most of the time different functionalities are interconnected so sometimes it was hard for us to decided the finishing of milestones which is more of an art than science. The technology we used is pretty basic which is PHP.

We work with three people: their CEO Amit, one developer, and one tester.

Our key measure is if a certain functionality is implemented after sending feedback for only once.

In the beginning, we deciced to micro-manage everything but as the project goes, we just let them set their own pace because their work quality is quite high. They sent progress reports which were cut out by us to save time. Sometimes if there's communication issue that can't be cleared by email or phone call, we'd just use Zoom videos or meetings.   

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They're not only willing to spend time to understand your requirements but also willing to go an extra mile to make sure quality is guaranteed. They're a
gem in an ocean of mediocrity.

Quote can be more accurate if more time is spent on understanding an existing system. Developer should be trained to think like a user instead of only a developer. Eventually any website is designed for users not developers.

After delivery of the project, we have noticed that the webapp was much easier to use. The users were no longer facing bugs and difficulties to use the platform. We are all satisfied at 95%.

When we handed over the project to NBT we had listed 7 major requirements to fullfill. At each requirement completed they requested us to check if it works well at our end and if we are ok with that or any input we wish to add. that was actually very good. We used to communicate through skype. we were receiving at every an update on progress of the project. Timeline also has been respected overall.

I found impressive the passion they shared with our project, they used to give us more advise to make it better and easy use. Whenever we requested a change on something already done, they never complained on the contrario. They listened to our needs and made those happen through the end product.

I am the CEO and director of Rod Edwards Photography and VR Tour Bus London. My company produce content for websites, advertsing and PR campaigns, publishing and design industries. We are based in UK but work worldwide and have been trading for over 25 years.

We wanted to develop a new Virtual Reality (VR) app for use with Google Cardboard and smartphones. The apps were required for both iOS and Android. We also required customisation of Wordpress template for the product website.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to generate global app downloads and develop the VR Tour Bus app for Google Cardboard VR viewer and retail in London.

How did you select Next Big Technology?

After spending a considerable amount of time searching the web, we stumbled across NBT and several other agencies in UK and India. We received quotes from several other agencies and some agencies didn't even respond. App development can be very expensive, making a profit impossible for all but the biggest companies. Next Big Technology won the tender on quality of service, knowledge and price.

We first approached NBT (and other agencies) with a Virtual Reality (VR) idea and requested a quote. Having asked numerous questions, the project appeared possible for a reasonable price - so we progressed. We worked on the project in three stages and the project is now under constant improvement and maintenance.

What was the team composition?

We worked closely with Amit Shukla who is the director of NBT. He managed the whole project from start to finish. The NBT team of experts have knowledge in many specialist areas which is one great benefit to working with an agency rather than individuals.

The new VR Tour Bus app is out in January 2021 along with launch of new website www.vrtourbus.co.uk.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was very effective as i dealt directly with Amit who briefed his development team at NBT.

Efficiency, knowledge, courtesy, professionalism and cost.

Are there any areas for improvement?

None that I can think of. It's always good to visit and speak with the team in person, but in this day and age it's not necessary. Everything that was required could be achieved remotely.
